Every cymbal company is great for a reason. It's all in the drummer's sound preference. For me, I like a mix of bright and dark. I like my cymbals to blend with the music and not overpower it. And I'd even like a crash to have a little trashy sound blended in. But that's just my individual preference.
PAISTE is the best cymbals in my option becouse the sound of there cymbals is so bright and nice much better then Zildjina or Sabian becouse. And also that PAISTE is laying all their money on making the cymbals really good and not to much at advertising. I have checked out Sabians Youtube Channel and they almost always talk about that ''Oh my god sabian is such a good cymbal'' and ''You should totally buy this cymbal becouse is so good. It feels like they just care about the money. I Love PAISTE
@Morningstardrummer When you hit the cymbal the energy goes up the cymbal and back down the cymbal. The bumps alter the sound by forcing the energy to go around the indents.
the making of zildjian cymbals is very cool as well..nicko says it takes about 4 yrs to train someone to make cymbals,..at zildjian they say it's 5 yrs....doesn't matter ..i love both companies equally , but still partial to paiste !! great video and very informative ..always wondered how my cymbals are made !!
not exactly true. The machine does provide the brute strength, but the worker is controling the shaping of the cymbal and the strength of the hammer. After this step, the cymbals are all HAND HAMMERED. The other companies use quite a bit of automation for the formation of the discs. There is no automation in the making of Paiste professional cymbals.
@iamjesper In the Alphas the automation is introduced... (by introduced I mean it isn't totally machine hammered, but some processes need to be to be able to drop the price.)
@PaisteChannel True, this is not machine hammered, the machine just provide the strenght .... this is why they are so expensive and so good, theyre unique ... !
@PaisteChannel Zildjians must be better in a way. The machine turns them very symmetrically while paiste men turn it which may uneven the line of the punched in holes. But I love paiste my fav cymbals
@PaisteChannel not true sabian, is still the only major cymbal factory, to still hand cast, hand temper, hand hammer, hand lathe, hand buff, hand test, twice
i bet if zildjians were hand hammered they would sound so much better

yes but alot of the zildjian cymbals are made by machines, not hands

Machine hammered. Zildjians are computer hammered, while Sabian HH are hand hammered.

@PaisteChannel thats good to know, just one thing to know
Can I call you guys or give you a email, so I could get my very own color coated cymbals?
or do I have to be endorsered in order to get that?

@PaisteChannel What is your opinion on Bosphorus Cymbals?
Sc0ttPrian 6 months ago
@MMaatthhiieeuu yet paiste is still better than sabian, or all other brands
uribemercado 8 months ago
@uribemercado No such thing as BETTER once you enter a professional cymbal territory. There are only DIFFERENT cymbals.
