Hey Im looking at a 1997 zzr 250 for my first bike (Learners) Im curious as to its highway riding, does it have the power to keep up with the 100km traffic?

@musidude yes its a great bike, just bought a 93 model and i am a learner (test tommorow) i have ridden it around quite a lot and its a really nice bike to ride. I havnt tested the speed properley yet but i had no problem getting 100mph (160km)

@TheeNinja250R actually its NOT a ninja. that like saying a vulcan is a ninja just cuz it says kawi on the side. Ninjas are R's. Such as 250r, zx6-r,zx10-r. ZZR's are F's 250F, zx6-F(like mine),ZX11-F, and so on. Ninjas are considered sportbike while the zzrs are classified as sport-touring.

coz it has got a racing set up an d it is also cold but it settels down when it gets hot

the funny thing with my bike is that, it idles just nice when it's cold, but get's real high just like yours when it's hot... darn...

carb ballence fixed that problem on mine

i did everything i could. carb balancing, retuning, changed the floats, needle and diaphragm

but final conclusion, the butterfly valve has worn off and there's no way to replace that part except for a whole brand new carb unit, which costs astronomically insane at my country.
