The Mystery Method does work, but for a lot of people its trying to pick up firls in bars and clubs which is the real issue. If you dont like those places then dont put yourself in those situations. You dont have to wait till the girls are drinking alcohol to make your move. Do it in the supermarket or gym or car park.

- "Pandora's Box" on MackMethods. com (highly recommend this)
GENERAL GUIDELINES
1) Be Confident (Posture, Eye Contact, Speak With Authority etc).
2) Act like you don't need them and make them prove themselves to YOU!
3) Make them feel comfortable (comfort comes before intimacy)
4) Demonstrate that you're a good provider & protector (ways to do this).

The Mystery Method does work, but for a lot of people its trying to pick up firls in bars and clubs which is the real issue. If you dont like those places then dont put yourself in those situations. You dont have to wait till the girls are drinking alcohol to make your move. Do it in the supermarket or gym or car park.

I'm not saying looks aren't that important. They have a certain degree of importance, sure. But women aren't simply guys without penises... So it's not the be-all and end-all of attracting women. Yes, they have eyes and notice a good-looking man. But the degree of importance to them is probably far less that you believe.
In a bar environment with more men, the women only pick the best looking men? Who are YOU trying to kid? I've seen that not to be the case too many times.

I was rebuking sebazio's post. He inferred that all it takes are good looks to have success with women. Basically, that looks have as much value to women as they do for men. Like a few others here seem to believe, that women respond primarily to a man's looks and that's THE factor, which time and again has proven not to be so.
Are looks an advantage in attracting women? Yes. You'll have to point out the part where I said one would "rule out" the other.

In a bar/nightclub environment where single men outnumber single women by huge ratios, women have their pick on steroids, and as such they (the women) will only go for the best looking men.
If you want proof, start hanging aound nightclubs and bars and watch which guys pick up, and which don't.

Sounds like a contradicting message.
On the one hand, you say Neil had "hidden advantages" like being a writer for Rolling Stone.
On the other hand, you say looks are a big deal to women.
If looks are such a big deal to them, then why did Neil's job provide any advantage at all? For looks to be a TRUE big deal (as they are for guys), then things like a certain job, status and wealth should have absolutely no bearing in the attraction process.

With regards to Neil Strauss, you must take into account that he has hidden "advantages", ie. he was a writer for the New York Times/Rolling stone magazine, and as such that would make him appealing to women.
And don't believe everything the PUA industry tell you, much of it is "smoke and mirrors".
For your information I have irrefutable proof that LOOKS are a big deal to women, and I can easily prove it.

I know guys who have blown $3K USD on PUA bootcamps and still got NOTHING.
When I have gone to nightclubs, the only guys who got girls were the studs and jocks, so there is your irrefutable proof.

The scam PUA industry is a like a cult that brainwashes its followers into believing that any man can pick up hot looking women (regardless of looks or money).
In a bar/nightclub environment women will always go for the best looking men, ugly to average guys virtually have no chance.

I think alot of the techniques Mystery teaches are very good. However, being good looking does give you an advantage in my opinion. However, it would be better to be an average looking guy who is confident, playful with the women and a challeng, than be a good looking guy who only kisses the womna's butt. The average looking guy will probably go further.

To be fair some the techniques PUAs teach are OK, but most of it is common sense, and is nothing groundbreaking.
However, in a nightclub environment all the confidence, PUA "GAME" in the world, is meaningless unless the woman is physically attracted to you first. Good looking guys don't need to kiss a woman's butt, because the women virtually pick them up, and I have seen it happen numerous times.

Looks DO help, but they're not as important as how you dress and take care of yourself. I have seen average looking men who aren't wealthy have phenomenal success with beautiful women in bars and nightclubs
