This video brings back a lot of great memories for me as well. I got a 1969 Sears Screamer 1 for my 8th birthday that year. Man that was one cool bike. @theWickedJohn, you're right - they just ain't nearly as cool as they once were.
I got that exact same bike for Christmas in 1970. And that ford Galaxy you rode by in the background was the same car my Dad owned at the time. AND our local neighborhood hottie just found me on facebook after 35 years. Great memories you brought back with this video. thanks so much for posting.
yes, it was an 8mm movie shot by a friend, Ruth Ann Morris. She was the local hottie! LOL I just had it transferred to DVD. It did not record sound at the time.
What I'd give to see my kids enjoying such a simple life. Those times were the absolute best. Where was this video shot? Thanks for the posting this. Really cool!
I miss those times myself. This was filmed on my block at Westminster Place and N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Oklahoma City. My house is the one with the orange squares on the garage door. The address was 1703.

We got our banana seat bikes from Otasco but it was still fun to perform death defying stunts in the driveway for hours.
