  • @saffiragiesha

    Thank you :)

  • well ok i guss

  • I never had Freita Sex before what is it like sex with food or something

  • @JDHoffa Nah, its Freita's Ex. Look on his channel:)

  • LOL, stop at around 2:01. EPIC!!!!

  • what's the name of the song?

  • Yo Freitasex, Last night I made this cake and it was excellent too. I Love the banana flavor all through the cake however I don't believe my caramel icing was right. Are you using dark or light brown sugar. The Caramel icing was maybe too sweet and kinda grainy. This of course didnt stop me from having a piece of it for breakfast this morning. I had to be sure it was to sweet before writing this comment and I will certainly have to check the cake again tonight when i get home from work. Cheers

  • @JamesSierra78

    Glad you made this :)

    I used light brown sugar.

Grainy... the only thing that I can think of is that you did not cook it hot enough or to the proper temperature.

    Thanks for your questions!

  • @freitasex

OK so after a day sitting covered on my counter this became the most awesome cake I have ever had. The icing was smooth and creamy and the cake was perfect. I will have a 2nd attempt at this today when my friends arrive.

  • Who wears short, shorts? Freita's ex wears short shorts!

    Cythenthia.

  • @BongInTheOven

Nair has short shorts... don't know if you know that jingle or song.

  • LOVE YOUR VIDEO. MY GRABDMOTHER MADE THIS CAKE ALSO, BUT SHE DIDNT ADD SO MUCH POWDERED SUGAR TO ICEING. ALSO SHE TOOK A TOOTHPICK AND MADE HOLES IN THE TOP OF THE LAYERS AND BRUSHED ON A BIT OF WATER WITH BANANA EXTRACT ADDED. THEN SHE CUT BANNANA SLICES ON THE TOP OF THE BOTTOM LAYER AFTER SHE ICED IT ADDED THE TOP LAYER ICED THE REST OF THE CAKE AND LET THE CAKE SET FOR AT LEAST ONE DAY BEFORE SHE CUT IT . IT WAS WONDERFUL MOIST A GREAT CAKE.

  • @ruxtondrive I SPELLED GRANDMOTHER WRONG SORRY.

  • "it got hard on me too fast "..thats what she said!

  • @sweet00976

    Best comment ever, lol.

  • do you always cook barefoot? lol.

i've made different types of buttercream icing but i haven;t tried caramel yet. thanks for sharing :)

  • @noangel1987

Um, yes.... most of the time I am barefoot.

  • Looks like a good recipe. At 1:30 did you mean baking powder or baking soda?

  • @Barnekkid

    Baking soda, thanks!

  • It's lovely! Don't sweat the small stuff. It's all good. We all learn from mistakes, and sometimes the mistakes make the best stuff!! I love the cake recipe and never knew before how to make caramel icing. I will just add a little less powdered sugar!

  • @gcarped

Yes... this was my 2nd time making this and I over compensated with the powdered sugar, thanks!

  • the caramel icing looks amazing!! I'd love to try :D! thank you for the recipe ;)

  • @StuffieAnnie

Gosh the icing was the BEST part, lol, thanks!

  • delicious. yummy

  • @allesgutes

    Thank you!

  • Do a nice teriyaki salmon

    soy sauce

    sugar

    ginger

    garlic

    parsley

siracha (if you like the heat)

Put all of this into ziploc bag mix then put in the salmon and let it sit overnight

Then cook it up and reduce the soak stuff if you like i usually like to cook with onions but you can also do your spins on this as you like try it and enjoy

  • @wownerfnerd

Sounds great, I will eat salmon 2 or 3 times a year, more like 2.

Not a big fan of the stronger fish taste.

    thanks!

  • You made a little typo with Caramel :)

  • @bladez0rz23

Thank you, I will change it :)

  • Uh oh...baking...my fav!! That looked sooooo good! I'm running away and NOT taking down this recipe at the moment...you know why...lol Maybe a banana bread won't be as dangerous for me as this cake! :-)

  • @GreatGig1

OMG, I am amazed at peoples reactions.

I am not a big fan of banana bread, but then this is very simular.

I also do not bake very often, cakes that is, I much prefer pies :)

    Thanks Caylyn :)

  • Question. I am not a fan of hard icing. Should I skip out or reduce the icing sugar by a lot to avoid that?

  • @nworb

I tried that... with no icing sugar and the frosting never well what happened, the icing just dripped everywhere and would not hold it's shape, sort of like chocolate ganash, yes my spelling is bad.

This is a cooked icing and may be why it does harden up some.

I am not much of a cake baker, sorry

  • I don't have much of a sweet tooth. In fact I mostly prefer salty stuff. However, everytime I see you post a dessert, I think it wouldn't interest me but I completely change my mind after watching it. Absolutely delicious looking. WOW

  • Thank you. It looks delicious.

  • @jfsoller

    Thanks!

  • i would do anything to get a kitchenaid mixer, but in australia they're just over $700, i'm too poor.......such a handy tool in the kitchen same with the food processor, which i also don't own :-(

  • @chrissiemoda

I would like to imagine that you can get a similar "type" of mixer for less.

I would get a food processor before a stand mixer for sure, as I use that more than the mixer.

$700 is ALOT of money, you can get a decent computer for that!

  • Did you ever find out what went wrong the first two times? Nice video.

  • @SirGomez81

    never did

  • Even though the icing didn't come out it still looks like a great cake to try, i love banana's!!

  • @SuperBianca86

I love bananas, more in a pie, and that will be coming up sometime soon.

  • here me eating a yogurt pretending its that cake lol looks so good

  • @darkroge

    That's a good one, lol.

  • where's your socks?!!! :D

  • @johnyd1231

I have one pair and they were in the washer.

  • @freitasex Hahahaha...... your kidding right? :-O

  • @johnyd1231

Ok, I have 2 pairs of socks.

    I lied the first time!

  • Was the icing too sweet? :( I mean with a cup of powdered sugar, and three cups of brown sugar... that looks like it'd be waaaay too sweet.

I'd still love to make this, but I'm sure it'd be too sweet for me.

  • @Ryuuie

I did not think it was too sweet at all, I loved the icing better than the cake!

  • Cake looks real good. Had a lemon icing once on banana cake that was tart and not too sweet.

  • @z978ady

    That sounds very interesting, thanks!

  • add stawberries!

  • @turboturboturboo

Strawberries and bananas do go together!

  • Yummy !! :-))

  • @Barginjunkie69

    Thanks :)

  • @MsMartylee

I have heard that music on TV in commercials for lice in hair and another place also.

The music is something that came with a program in my computer called Garage Band.

I do not know that name of the song, sorry

  • Can u pleasee do redvelvetcake??

  • @emmacutie123

I don't know about that, I will think on it.

  • Hello Michael!

Nice cake...i wish i could try this.

This cake reminds me of your fabulous "apple cake"

By the way, i'm going to make the apple cake in 2 or 3 days again! I'll let you know how it turned out. Maybe I'll upload a littke 30sec. video for you from my try of the apple cake!

    Best wishes

  • @Bralor89

  • @wc3nExiZi

I don't know about that, but thank you :)

  • cream cheese frosting is my fav michael

  • @therockforever2

    that does sound awesome :)

  • i saw the video once more is it baking powder 2 1/2 tsp and baking soda 1/2 tsp?

  • Do we need to add baking powder to the cake doesn't the cake mix already have baking powder in it?

@ 1.22 you said baking powder 2 1/2 tsps & again @ 1.31 you said 1/2 tsp of baking powder...i'm really confused with the recipe too much baking powder...:P

  • @viduoo9

At 1:31 I said baking soda (bicarbonate)

I did not use a cake mix.

    Thanks for your question!

  • Could you do prime rib next???

  • @Memekiller666

No, I don't think so, sorry.
