They aren't frozen if the fill is still liquid. Cool them at lower temperatures. LIke with dry ice

If the gun doesn't have eyes you'll get a chop and occasionally when it does have eyes it will, and it doesn't look like you know too much about paintball, so I'll explain the eyes thing, its basically two lasers that are connected to the circuit board in a paintball gun and when the the lasers stream is broken then it tells the gun its ok to fire if the beams aren't intercepted the gun says don't shoot theres nothing in the breach.

Um lol that was two questions. I know what eyes are. When Simon opens the freezer he says "Oh(t) spot me lens" in true British fashion. The " lens" as some of us "Paintballers" call it is the dense Lexon transparent part of a goggle system that is part of a "Paintballers" safety equipment. Legend has it that the "goggle System" is the most important piece of "paintball" equipment a "paintballer" will ever buy. The 2nd question is if the frozen paintball cracks open when the bolt hits it.

Yes a frozen paintball will crack when the bolt hits it be it a gun with eyes or not, and yes I know what a lense is because I've been playing paintball since '87 kid, don't try to be a smart ass, the basis of my knowledge was on your comment and I assumed any paintball player would know about how extremely brittle paint reacts to being in a paintball gun, appearantly you lack that knowledge because maybe you haven't been into the sport that long or don't use tournament grade brittle paint ever.

I think it is mostly propylene glycol. It is in antifreeze, underarm deodorant, shampoo and some food products. I think it is a natural gas and oil by product. Bet there is lard in there too.

it isn't because the shells are weaker, it is because there is air in the ball after the gel inside condensed. It would hurt more because the "paint" wouldn't disperse the energy into the air as much, imagine a flick vs. a jab.

Actually the shells shattered on the first drop. Most paintballs wouldn't break from that height. Only tournament paint usually breaks from that height on the first bounce. Recreational paint never does.
