There have been several recorded drownings. They CAN swim, but the problem is they get pushed further and further north as the ice melts each season, and then they eventually ended up on ice that breaks off the main body and floats to sea, melts, and they have to swim to shore. Could you swim hundreds or even a thousand miles to shore? This is why they drown, and if the north pole completely goes during the summer, as it can, you think many will die swimming a thousand miles to land? Could you?

Well he's already gotten the Pakistanis to finally act against Al Qaida on their home turf. Thousands of them have already been killed. That's more than Bush ever did, best he ever managed was to play musical chairs with them in Afghanistan, and even that he did half-heartedly because he let himself get distracted by Cheney's little adventure in Iraq.

When you govern from fear ,you isolate yourself from the world. When you govern from caution and diplomacy you become friends thru out the world. It's a small world, I would much rather grow friends than breed contempt. BTW, Bush and Cheny had the intell to stop 911 and they failed us. They chose to ignore the intel and the warnings about AlQueda from the Clinton administration. So they were also governing out of remorse and and the fact they were responsible for the deaths of over 3000.ppl.

Actually we haven't sold out the second amendment. If you recall we recently passed a bill saying you can now carry your assault weapons to national parks even.
On the other hand the Bush admin. did destroy a lot of our civil liberties and the constitution with the patriot act and his illegal wiretapping, not to mention condoning torture.

As for the warrentless wiretapping, it's already come out they were used on US citizens communicating within the US so your argument fails before it even starts. No foreign powers were involved.
