No. Strobe Reverse lights aren't illegal. I'm a mechanic and help people who are stranded/stuck on the side of the road. My truck has amber lighting as well as strobes so I don't get hit. Work real well, and I've actually had an officer comment on them. Although laws vary state to state. I'd say call your local police department and ask, just to be safe.

@TheBugatti05 I don't think so. I think it's only red and blue strobes that are illegal unless being used by an officer.
