  • @diddymuck I thought it looked like a cement mixer.

  • CINEMAGIC is just really making the picture red when they walk around mar

  • you'll be bore to death, IN CINEMAGIC.

  • @tfman31 yeah all we get now is stupid high budget moies like avatar and shit

  • I wish you all could have seen this movie through the eyes of an eight-year -old. Weirdly cool!

  • Now we can make our own cheesefests using footage readily available online and music mixes by the Drum-Bass masters!

  • boy I want to take a trip with Nora...I remember seeing this one on a saturday afternoon at a local theater. These were special showings just for us kids.

  • Walk Among Us

  • Used to love to watch this on CHILLER THEATRE, or any one of the scienc-fiction movie shows they used to have on the great (in the past) channel 11, WPIX-TV in New York! Now I have the DVD. THey used to show STAR TREK, SPACE 1999, and all the ohter cool Geryy-Anderson shows, and Japanese Sci-fi movies.

  • I actually felt sorry for that giant spider creature when he got his eyes shot out....that bugged out sea creature was pretty lame though.

  • Oh, I was wondering... Could this movie be ... IN CINEMAGIC ?

  • Cinemagic actually looks pretty cool. It was an early kind of Solarizing. I used to LOVE seeing this flick on Channel 11's CHILLER THEATRE. Now I have it on uncut, crystal-clear DVD!

  • They just don't make Redheads like Nora Hayden any more. She could sit on my face any day.

  • the bat-rat-spider-crab monster is on the cover of the Misfits 'Walk Among Us' album

  • The bat-rat-spider-crab monster also makes a brief appearance in Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast" video. If you're a Misfits fan, The "Crimson Ghost" should be on Youtube somewhere.

  • Man I loved this film as a kid! Hey I still do!

  • im fucking a horse....in Cinemagic

  • ahahhahah rofl

  • I am sitting here having breakfast, in Cinemagic.

  • delminor, yous sucked in CINEMAGIC

  • I'd be angry, too, if I couldn't draw any better than that.

  • The Mars scenes would have been better left alone as shown in the trailer. Cinemajic was just red tint over the camera lens and looked comic book like to me! That Bat rat spider was the best monster back then, and I saw it in a Lost in space epesode as well.

  • Really? Which ep? Movie looks technically interesting for its time.

  • That was the idea. The "Cinemagic" scenes were shot in black & white, then printed in high contrast with red filters to try to replicate the look of pen-and-ink illustrations in pulp sci-fi magazines. The effect was something less than the filmmakers had hoped for, but it's interesting nonetheless. Without Cinemagic, the Mars scenes -- especially the ridiculous bat-rat-spider-crab -- would have looked even more fake!

  • They didn't show Cinemagic because it was a hoax. All of the Martian footage was filmed in black and white so they tinted it red and distorted it optically to look weird. It looked odd but it was not the revolution it was claimed to be. Even so, it was scary and imaginative.

  • here it is my top favorite sci-fi,a masterpiece in genre. Good hand of Ib Melchior

  • A classic film that is available in DVD and still worth watching.

    Capt RB

  • Hmm..um...well...audiences sure had a lot more patience back then, didn't they?

However, Nora Hayden was - as they say - fairly bangin'.

    In Cinemagic, that is.

  • Nora Hayden turned down an offer from Playboy magazine to pose nude. Shit, what was she thinking?

She's still alive today. I think recently she's written a couple of books or something.
