I think its so funny that like 90% of you can't seem to get beyond the fact that she is a "SHE" WTF? Not entirely true, I find it just as incredible when i see Valentina play piano. I see many women playing classical compositions with violins and piano's etc. but it's rare to see them playing shred style guitar. There are only a handful a decent female guitarist i've found on youtube. Andreia is one of my favorites.

When I write a solo that I'm going to play exactly the same each time, it seems to be a process of writing and rewriting untill I find something that fits perfectly within the song.

@cjohnsv I use the obvious ones; distortion and reverb and I always use a very gentle delay for my lead sound it acts more as a second reverb but gives it more body and a nice tone :)

@AndreiaPasso nice!..I use Logic 9 to record and lay down software drums. also a apogee gio or a Ux2 recording interface along with a macbook pro. I'm working on a solo metal album right now. I'll upload some tracks and send them your way when they are done! Honestly I would love to collaborate on some stuff in the future. If you happen to use logic as well that would be super easy to do! Make a youtube vid and split it down the middle of us playing! that'd be slick.

How long did it take you to master this kind of playing? And what kinds of things did you practice? I am just curious because I am barely getting into Neo-Classical guitar after 3 years of just practicing guitar constantly. It would be awesome if you gave me any tips. You're a great guitarist. And a Unique one too! I haven't encountered many women who are this skilled at guitar. You blow all of them away.

It took me 4 years from knowing only the first pattern of the pentatonic scale to just about be able to blag Malmsteen stuff, but bare in mind I was in a music school for all that time and was taught by Shaun Baxter one of the greatest teachers and players ever!
