  • One major difference between the two matches is Adam Jones who wasn't fit in 2009, he makes a massive difference to the Welsh pack and is probably Wales' most important player

  • that wont happen if polatanau is picked this year :D

  • here he is having a digital rectal exam...wttf ahhahaha

  • Worst analysis ive seen.. Shows how much you muppets know. There are weak links

in that front row.. Get Maafu in there. He's the best scrummaging tight head we've got.

Look at the brumbies 2010!!!! Dominated against the rest of them... England was Fainga and Daley fault..

  • great vids man, n1,,neither winger could not catch ashton though.

  • auzzies crushed in the scrum but the welsh back wernt switched on, but they will be this weekend when lee byrne comes in at fullback and hooky drops into center, you will see a different game.....

  • Shane isn't as quick as he was he is nearly 10 years older than the oz winger. Wales could have won this had they kept pressure on

  • thats ridiculous all the welsh probs were doing were folding inwards thats whats lets them wheel the scrum. But it is illegal

  • scrum at 3:32 ozzies have no impact what so ever...

  • Great videos mate

  • hey mate...

too me i reckon its all about technique on the hit...

  • I'm not sure bind is as important as shape. Look at the vids featuring ABs scrum coach Mike Cron. He seems to downplay the old emphasis on the bind and is more about strong and square body shape.

  • Look at Alexander's shape. His lower back is arched and his shoulders somewhat level with his hips. When he hits, they roll down and he folds, losing power / leverage / ability to hold and/or drive. Timing of that hit is also important. Don't forget that a TH takes the hit of both the opposing LH and H and the Welsh duo seem to be focusing all their energy on him, well timed such that they compromise Alexander's initial shape.

  • Top vids Buddy (: Keep em going!

  • in my opinion, ozzy rugby just doesnt have a knack for front row athletes, maybe include scrums as a whole, but maybe not. the scrums in league or lack of doesnt help. i think the reason nh teams destroy in scrums, is well, because they do more of them in games, a combination of shit weather and poor synergy of forwards working along with backs in open play shows it. so nh teams are constantly scruming, and proud of it. on the other hand, the default ozzy athlete focuses more in open play!

  • Thanks for that mate. One thing i had to add that i really think needs to be changed in the forwards are the 'fill ins'. Chisholm and Brown have to go.Higganbotham had a brilliant S14, showing his power.pace and high work ethic, things i have hardly seen in Country bumpkin Brown.

Chisholm is just a fill in until Horwill returns. Get Simmons in there! Same height/weight as Sharpe and will be learning from Horwill all next season. He really is a player to be watching, a level above Chisholm

  • was the scrum coach the same last year?

  • @finnstralian Yes.
