@MsDebbieReynolds The clips between 4.04 and 4:48 are from the movies: The Comedians, Doctor Faustus, The VIP:s and from a press conference, possibly from Taming of the Shrew and finally the premiere of The Sandpiper. :)
Ever since I watched this video I can't get this song out of my head! I will forever associate Liz and Dick with this song. Thanks for the great video!
@SugarKatie you're welcome. Thanks for commenting. I think it's cool that you've come to associate the song with "Liz & Dick". I'm so glad I made this video. I originally wasn't sure about it because of the line "with those big brown eyes" since neither one of them had brown eyes. However the rest of the song lyrics really fit so I decided to overlook that part. Anyway feel free to watch my other videos with them too if you haven't already. :)
@RFWUSA You're welcome about the video. I agree that lookwise Daniel Craig do resemble Richard. But IMHO he lacks some of the animal magnetism that Richard had.
@Karsch100 Thank you! i knew, it was from the early 70s but never seen that movie....i heard it is very funny! ...but probably not available yet on dvd? Thank's again. Dwayne
@Dwayne31531 No it's not available on DVD yet. I hope it will be some day as I want to make a video of just that movie but preferably with better quality than the VHS tape...
@carolbrigid I agree they really were in love and it showed and because they were on film the legacy of their love lives on for new generations to see. My favorite movie with Elizabeth & Richard is Cleopatra followed by The Sandpiper, Taming of the Shrew, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, The Comedians and Divorce His, Divorce Hers. I love most movies where they star together. :) What about you?
@Karsch100 I have seen 3 of the movies they made together; Cleopatra, The Sandpiper, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. I LOVED Cleopatra and The Sandpiper. I can't wait to see the others! Also I just got the book Furious Love and I'm getting ready to read all about them. I love your videos! I love watching them together and seeing those looks that they shared, and the passion you can see, and that you can only imagine. Wow!.
@carolbrigid I'm glad that you loved Cleopatra and Sandpiper. As for WAOVW, the movie gets better every time you'll see it. Furious Love was a good read as it summarized their love story even though certain of their other books were heaps better. Anyway thank you, I am glad that you love my videos and the magic that was Taylor-Burton. :)
@carolbrigid Well the best book on Richard Burton is the Melvyn Bragg book "Rich - The life of Richard Burton". The best book about Elizabeth is her "Informal memoir" from 1964. Those are the best since they include so much material written from their POVs. I also liked the J. Randy Taraborrelli book about Elizabeth. I can recommend all those books. :)
@carolbrigid Oh and one more book worth reading "Richard & Elizabeth" by Lester David and Jhan Robbins. It includes some stories about them together that seems to have been forgotten in later biographies.
@DameHaha2011 Thanks for watching my video. The clip at 2.46 is from behind the scenes of "The comedians". It was in the featurette "The comedians in africa" that was an extra on the DVD. :)
@meganmlll Thanks for watching my video. The clip that is at 2.25 is from the documentary about "the making of the night of the iguana". It is from when he filmed the movie in Mexico and she was with him on the set almost every day. So it's from behind the scenes. :)
I am glad you have found love in your life. I honestly don't know why Elizabeth & Richard couldn't make it work. At least I believe they are together now...
@Karsch100 You and I would like to believe that to be true but the truth is we don't know. It's all in what we believe and what ever makes you happy is what it comes down to. I say that because if you study or have any knowledge that has been instilled in most of us when we pass on we are not as we were while here on earth. But I still believe that Liz was the most beautiful woman while here on earth.
CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHERE IS THE SCULPTURE OF RICHARD AND ELIZABETH ? it is as magnificent as they were. WOW WHAT AN ICONIC COUPLE. WAS THE SCULPTURE IN SARDINIA, MEXICO OR ISCHIA, ITALIA. TRULY MAGNIFICENT! GREAT VIDEO! RIP DAME ELIZABETH WITH RICHARD FOREVER!
@judyroodi thanks for watching my video. You are right that they both had gorgeous eyes and well if they had had a natural child together and that child would have gone into acting I don't think Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie would be the biggest stars of today...but unfortunately Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton could never have any natural children as she was unable to have more kids after her daughter Liza was born. They wanted to but nothing could be done for them. :(
What a magnificent couple. What a magnificent vbeauty she was and a talented actress!! Thanks for this post. I do miss Ms Taylor so much. What a wonderful person she was.
@necktieguy1 Thank you for watching my video. I agree with you, the world will never have another Elizabeth Taylor ever. She was completely unique and an amazing woman who I loved and admired so much. We will all miss her. :(
@msesisters3 Thank you, I am glad that you like the video. Yes they were a wonderful couple, I love them both. I believe they are together again now...
I am totally puzzled regarding the next to the last shot of them where she has the sparkling earrings and he shuts his eyes and kisses her. I have seen all their movies yet I am not familiar with this scene at all. ??????
@chrissy1095 The second to last scene is from their movie "Hammersmith is out" from 1972. Thanks for watching the video btw. :) I have also seen most of their movies. They are awesome. :)
@chrissy1095 you're welcome. If you ever get a chance to see it I can recommend it. It's not their best movie but there are still some great moments in it. :)
Thanks Jessie. Yeah they were romantic for sure. I love their kiss in Sandpiper when he walks up to her and kisses her without saying a word. Their eyes really says everything that is needed to be said. :)
i have to say i loved that scene too! i watched the whole movie on youtube too bad the deleted it terms of copyright isssues but i have to say it really is one of a kind movie and i love it to pieces =]
Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor, DBE (born 27 February 1932), also known as Liz Taylor, is an English-born British-American actress. She is known for her acting skills and beauty, as well as her Hollywood lifestyle, including many marriages. . She has survived the 40's, 50's, and 60,s of film making, of fame. No one will ever have a career like Elizabeth Taylor. I don't think we will ever see the likes of her again
Thanks for watching my video. You are right Dame Elizabeth Taylor is amazing. Definitely one of a kind. There's something about her that fascinates me. She's just so talented and seem to have a remarkable personality too! :)
