@googleisshittoss It wasn't all casualties. All the men who died in the hospital were speared but yes, many of the men behind the mealie bags and biscuit boxes were shot. Some of the rifles were old muskets the Zulus had got by trading too. The mountain is very close and if the Zulus had been trained to use rifles, there would have been more British dead, possibly enough to lose the battle.
