The quotes are great. Einstein is known for stating facts and not speculating. The points made by the maker of the movie, however, were not so eloquent. Even the Dalai Lama says that not everyone should have the same religion. The last quote even showed how agitated Einstein was when someone said he was part of a particular religion. He didn't want to be told what to believe so why is this video telling others what to believe?

Why are we so quick to attack Buddhism, Islam, Christianity and/or any other religion? It takes time to rid one self of all these impulses. If Buddhism though isn't for you, that is perfectly fine. think Buddha's point is that holding onto beliefs is what keeps one inside, where an unconscious assault of wavelength can take place. These unseen wavelengths tend to make one believe one is suffering. Stepping outside belief is relative freedom from this suffering. That step takes place only with understanding.

The quotes are great. Einstein is known for stating facts and not speculating. The points made by the maker of the movie, however, were not so eloquent. Even the Dalai Lama says that not everyone should have the same religion. The last quote even showed how agitated Einstein was when someone said he was part of a particular religion. Buddhism doesn't expect you to believe anything apart from the eightfold path and the four noble truths. These are practical, not theoretical. It is non-theistic and non-dualistic. Buddhism also WILLINGLY encourages scientific investigation, as the Buddha said "don't believe me just because I said it...be a light unto yourself." Buddhism transcends the traditional partitions between philosophy, religion, and science. There is no dogma here, no labels here. This is about ending suffering....

It takes time to rid one self of all these impulses. If Buddhism though isn't for you, that is perfectly fine. Though I would suggest learning more about it before making that judgment, and I say this about everything, not just Buddhism. I find doing this is one of the many ways to make one's life better and more enriched with wisdom

@Laxmi1181 exactly! I always get kinda concerned about telling people I like to study Buddhism because many people think it is a religion and it's not. Meditation, Impermanence, Non-Attachment, Emptiness...all good things to practice for anyone.

This is a stupid video and i'll tell you why. A truly Enlightened individual can see the truth in ALL religions and can explain it also. This is what is meant by "you find peace within you". Then you are free to love others unconditionally b/c u understand what its really about and u understand that all fighting b/c of Religion is due to ppl's ignorance of what they're Religion is trying to teach them. There isnt a "winner" if u r fighting over Religion. That is not Peace.

By admiring the words of a man who points out that in his views Buddhism is above or better than others you only make yourself an other God in the person of Einstein. Go out there and experience God yourself using all tools you need to be it Christianity, Judaism, Muslim or Buddhism. If you are concerned about the order of these religions you are missing the point and only place yourself into the category Einstein spoke about in which he was sure.

think Buddha's point is that holding onto beliefs is what keeps one inside, where an unconscious assault of wavelength can take place. These unseen wavelengths tend to make one believe one is suffering. Stepping outside belief is relative freedom from this suffering. That step takes place only with understanding.
Understandng is seeing things as they are. One sees what is around one. So, simply, to accept all without judgement is the path, if one chooses to play the understanding game.

As an admirer of Buddhism and Einstein I thought I would enjoy this video, and I did until I read "Buddhism is the only way to liberation" I'm pretty sure you would never hear a true Buddhist teacher say this. And then the smug smile at the end when mentioning Einstein's thoughts on other religions... this is not the attitude of a true follower of the Buddah's teachings, at least not what I understand of it.

Hey guys, Your yashua (or Jesus) was a buddhist, he followed buddhist ways and incorporated them into christian ways, christianity was a more direct version of buddhism, just with a different understanding of god, but very similar, Jesus said that god was in ourselves and all around us, he was referring to the spirit of everyone around you and your own spirit, people took that too literal and took it out of meaning, I mean don't believe me or do I don't care, its what makes us closer as humans.

@george77772moons I'd like you to name every other religion, and not appear as another edgy teenager hating religion, but calling Buddhism a religion just because it opposes European ideology and/or it is foreign. As accepting as anti-religion people try to appear, I've seen many of them say they hate religion with only monotheism in mind, or make a generalization on the followers of that religion first. Not letting individuals stand for themselves, but for a group, is a sign of ignorance.

All these groups have preached peace and have never even begun to live up to it. It's followers have killed wrongfully in their names, and each faith's "holy book" contains mass fallacies and promote evil repeatedly. Einstein saw the truth in Buddhism? What are you talking about? You gave his quote and then you make a claim it doesn't support in any way. What a bad joke. The best religion is no religion. Buddhism may not be as vile as most other religions, but that doesn't make it "the way to liberation".

if you look at the vadic and hinduism in detail such as the sages and meditaion which by the way 100% the buddha took from hinduism, you will see that everything that was taught to him was from the hindus teachings!
And alot of buddhsit try to hide that fact that buddhism has gods so that you try to make your selfs look better to athiest, but the fact of the matter is that buddism was created from hinduism and buddhas family was hindu from a hindu cast and based their life on hindu teachings

@jimbob202019 As far U say abt meditation&stuff let me put across to you that buddha learnt from sages of his time BUT not necessarily only from sages of Brahmanical Vedas or Upanishads of Kshtriyas.He learnt from different schools prevalent at that time like of Aajivikas,that of Charvaks etc.Siddarhta eventually rejected Vedas,Upanishas,Ajivikas,Charvaks etc on becoming Buddha.Its foolish to even associate Buddha with Hindus philosophy.Pls don't spread wrong information like this.
