While I'm not from the US, I'm sure I remember George W Bush running for presidency with the same image as Ron Paul, the idea that he was against war and wanted peace. We all know how the story goes after he took up office.

By the same token, Europe and America are having to compete against countries who pay their workers 50 cents an hour as opposed to 30 dollars an hour. The odds of economic recovery in Europe and America seem to be 1 in a million, and we are certainly headed for ww3.

Every intelligent person knows that atomic bomb has no use in today's world other than being a deterrent against an enemy.Besides Iran will never use atomic bombs on Jerusulume the most sacred place after Mecca. I`m sick of war. Where have we gotten any benefit from it? Occupying and destroying other Nations is no way to endear ourselves to them or impress. And I say we dump Israel like a hot potato. Well said! If Iran killed a US scientist I think the tone would be very different. I can hear Obama and the right wing neo cons calling it "an act of war"For the very reasons you stated Ron Paul will not get elected. The military industrial complex will not allow that to happen. Even if he wins the popular vote the electoral college will Re elect Obama. Our next President has already been decided on long before the election process began.
