I have had this saw for a couple years now and am very happy with it. I think the fence works very well and adjusts easily. I don't use the miter gauge. I have three different miter saws for that. I rip all kinds of hardwoods with it and can't get over how well it does for a small saw. I have the folding stand made for the next bigger saw. I just cut a piece of plywood with four rubber feet attached. It drops right into the holes on the stand. I don't know what the others are complaining about.
I have one and it is true if you you use it daily it wont last a year cheapo aluminium and the miter dam dude it sucks...this table saw is small but well constructed but not for contrators
i have one... the fence is fine dont know what you bitches are complaining about. the miter gauge is cheap ill give you that so just buy a new one not that difficult. also this saw rips through oak, maple walnut like it was pine. i for sure recommended this saw
Same here. Bought this and returned it to HD after a week. The fence is extremely poor and flimsy, the rack pin on mine was stiff and kind of useless . Definetaly a saw for job site which forgives errors. HD was carrying at $350, I think it's more a $200 value saw .
I've used their bigger jobsite saw for 10 years, it has taken a beating. I was looking forward to owning this smaller saw but I returned it to HD after 2 days. The fence and miter gauge will not survive a year in my world, guaranteed!
The little saw uses the same sized 15 amp motor and they've added a nice roll cage so I had hope. Dewalt dropped the size, and no longer supply a stand, and include the worst guide/fence I have ever held. All this and it's only $100 cheaper than their real saw.

Makita table saw was the best jobsite saw I used when I worked as a carpenter.

Good video, excellent saw. However, the saw itself weighs 45 not 64 pounds.

Used this nearly daily for a few years. Same motor as the larger saw, don't know why anyone would think this wouldn't last as long.

Sawstop macduff is impressed, macduff's innovative technology (The Original Jimmy Jig) the other alternate
mated to older table saws has retro-fitted that technology to be as save as it can ever be,
it will not wreck the blade or stop the saws operational function.
All macduff's ideally automatic anti-kick back devices are placed up front over-head of the blade or
cutting tool on a
stationary fence, (a macduff first) attaches to a bracket with a suspended rod from the stationary fence

which will never deviate from the parallel.
This portable light weight technology cuts sheet material to 4ft. on center requiring no large
permanently mounted side or out-feed extension tables
World wide there are hundreds of thousands of table saws with the old dangerous technology out there. Sawstop at
this time cannot retro-fit these saws. Buy new not necessarily, retro-fit available yes (plans)but don't be
complacent and keep your wits about ye, slainte mhath macduff

Read the manual, it weighs 45Lbs.
On a side note, it comes with a cheap plastic miter gauge, not what I expect for a $400 table saw.
