el2 has a different top end (explorer) with better breathing heads and manifold and different cam and eec program =185kw

eb ed ef has the old mustang engine =165kw

so get your facts right

normally i wouldnt, but i have to correct you here

EL2 XR8 only got the explorer MANIFOLD, EL GT headders, and eec upgrade.... dead stock factory cam and E7 heads.....

thats why theres only 20kw difference, the better manifold and headers really wake them up

you're thinking of the GT, which got the GT40 inlet, GT40(not gt40P)heads, cam, exhaust and eec upgrade

NL FBT (Fairlane by Tickford)was the FIRST (read.....FIRST.....) windsor model in australia, to feature the GT40P's (it was basically the AU1 XR8 200kw engine.

the series 2 el had the gt headers and does have a diferent cam heads they are of the 351 windsor that ford imported

and no im not thinking of the gt

ford NEVER had a 351 windsor in any eseries or AU......actually, they did in the EA GT CONCEPT....THATS IT..

i have an EL2 XR8 motor here, which im using the block in my 347 stroker.... heads and cam are identical to the ones on my other HO motor from my LTD
