if your patches don't seem to be working shavedinside of your legs and stick the patches there you will not pull any hair off of your legs and it seems it seems to absorbed into the bloodstream quicker

if you want to get off morphine, use panadene forte to get off it and that will help. I was hooked on morphine for 3 years and it was very hard because I kept going through the withdrawals because I couldnt get any until i seen my docor and then I asked him for panaden forte and it got me off morphine,and I was on it for back pain I have been on Tramadol now and that does the trick for bakpain.

I have backpain and I've found that Oxycodone is the best for backpain. Percocet.....which is basically oxycodone and a pain reliever works too. I take hydrocodine but I can end up taking up to 8 a day which is the max for daily recommended pain reliever for your liver to process. I think Oxycodone 40's are best but percocet 30 is good too. I can be fine almost all day with only 1 of either of those......:)
I was on 150 MCG of Fentanyl every 3 days it worked somewhat ,, but I started to chew them patches and I almost OD on them, so I learned to control the dosage of intake by chewing them and it felt realy nice, I suggest you try Demorrol, that's a good pain killer, or like my self right now I'm on 80 MG of methadone daily and that seems to gime me a steady pain relief, and that's all I take at the time, until it dosen;t work and then I'll experiment with something else. I just want to say good luck with your pain and med decision, and I wanted to suggest poppy tea. I make it sometimes for my chronic migraines and back pain. It helps me relax and sleep too. Also there is a plant called Kratom that is good for pain and less addictive and with less side effects than opiates. Also you are so cute and I love your accent! :)
I'm on 75mcg of fent everyday, it's pretty much nothing. I'm 17 years old and my tolorence isn't the best.. At least I don't think it is. Well I don't understand this shit. Iv snorted lortabs perks and vicodon, it never takes the pain away.

In order of relative strength, here are the opioids available to you in the UK: - • Codeine • Dihydrocodeine • Tramadol • Pethidine • Morphine • Diamorphine • Oxycodone • Hydromorphone • Methadone • Dextromoramide (Discontinued) • Dipipanone • Buprenorphine • Fentanyl • Alfentanyl Take this list with you to your GP and you may find that say oxycodone or pethidine help your pain more but without the unpleasant side-effects of morphine. Through every type of opiate i have tried, Tramadol seems to be the least addictive and has fewest side effects and delivers decent pain relief. My gp tried me on this and it was very effective, you have to be off the "strong" opiates for at least a week before you will benefit from Tramadol. You can substitue codeine for the week to help ease the withdrawls from the fentanyl.

The withdrawls...Oh my lord, the pain, sickness, depression, insanity, fear... I was using the 100 mcg patch and cut down on my own to 50 mcg because detoxing from the 100 mcg nearly killed me. My mother kept me alive by feeding me ice chips. I went to a detox and got off the 50 mch patch, I have been clean for a couple years and my pain is a hundred times less now, i vaporize marijuna every day, You can get capsule cannibinol. Ask your gp.

Use a fiber drug. The powdered fiber you add to drinks. It will help with the constipation. I would stay away from fentanyl. Morphine is going to be the best pain killer.

I was on vicodin for 13 years 15 to 20 a day. I tried a few times to get off of it but the withdraws were to painful. Didn't want to go to rehab because that will follow you around for the rest of your life. So what I did was turn to the lord and got serious about it. When I gave it to him the only withdraw I had was couldn't sleep very good for awhile but I will take that anyday. Severe spinal tumors, broken back, ankylosing spondylitis here. I've been on Percoset, Vicodin, Vicoprofen, morphine, and fentanyl. I was on perc/morphine/fenty for over a year. I recently came off morphine completely; now I'm on 75 mcg/3-day fentanyl patches with 7.5 mg percoset x3/day for breakthroughts. I love it.
if you can live any kind of decent life without being on opiates i would suggest stopping them gradually. if not, please take my advice: DO NOT KEEP INCREASING YOUR DOSAGE! I am a chronic pain sufferer as well and i can tell you this is a very slippery slope you are on. But, if you MUST take the opiates, just keep the dosage the same each day and do NOT get used to higher dosages. Also, long term use can create pain from simply overusing the opiates. My friend, some of us are genetically equipped to function w/ these drugs;others, like you and I, are not.*go to your Dr. ask for rehab. replace muscle strengthand supportinstead.

i take roxycotin which is the same as oxycotin, but with out the time release on them. i take 15mg 4 times a day and it helps me. however the fentanyl your taking is 100 times stronger than morphine. also i have cerebral palsy, i was born with it, and i'm 27.yrs old. ive been on pain meds since 20yrs old.
Dihydocodeine is a shitty weak drug. Where I live people turn mst or other morph formulations into heroin. It is so easy and makes it much stronger. 3 steps about 10 minutes max. Only problem is the chemical necessary to acetylate morph is getting scarce and bloddy expensive. Always wondered why I never see it in the states.
What you need to do is ship all of those to me and i will dispose of them for you ....no man i just got out of rehab if you stop taking the medicne then the pian will be amazingly less...use suboxone to help you with the withdrawls and you will be fine..

Dude, first your Doctor should have told you that Fentanyl does not work for up to the first week(not in the first 3 days). And given your dose, the 25mcg/h, will not even register...25 is the dose they give to baseline opiod users. I've tried every possible pain med available and this is the only one that works...however, I take 100mcg/h and it did not work until I tried this dose, so get your Doctor to slowly build it up until it works. After 25 it goes to 50 then to 100. No pills anymore...

i had knee surgery and was prescribed opiates for a year. getting off of it was hell... my advice is that you never start the morphine. my leg hurts still, but nothing was worse than the dependence on drugs.

Have you guys herd of Sufenta? Its said to be 100 to 1000 times stronger than.Fentanyl. Its the only drug left (except diprovan) that they can put me out for minor surgeries with.

Just one question How do you go from hydrocodone (vicodin) , to Fentanyl (1000 x more potent then morphine). It's quite clear that your doctor doesn't know what he is doing and should have his license revoked. Your digging yourself in a hole . 1st see a another doctor and request percocet (oxy/APAP) if the hydrocodone in reality isn't working for you . Don't take offense to this but you sound like your high like a kite. That medication is no joke I hope you know what your getting yourself into.
I got to comment here. I'm the 54 yr old dude with 20 back operations that needsanother major op. I took 3 of the 800mcg fentanyl lolypops and I got no pain reduction at all. Then again I'm used to 640mg of oxycontin a day dilaudid 8mg prn plus I was on a morphine pump with hydromorphone 16mg/day , probably why but I should have got "some" pain reduction. I think the pops do not deliver the Fentanyl right. Maybe if they were sublingual like suboxone, I'm not sure.
Smoke the fent, put the size of a matchhead on the foil and smoke it, rinse and repeat till you are wasted, just got me a 75mcg fent patch today and they last longer than the patch does normally.I got thirteen 10/325 hydrocodone and fifteen 2mg Klonopin so things are looking good at the moment

Seek a pain clinic for pain therapy. Seeking more pain meds is a addiction problem. Therapy teaches you to cope with the pain. You won't find it in meds for long.

First off you suffer from long term pain I would recomend a pain clinic doctor first off. I have been on and off all kinds of pain killers for a back injury from a car accident where my back was cracked in two places my tailbone was broke and i have spinal cord damage. Asking someone else and getting there advice is nice to see the feed back but truly its you knowing on your body and explaining it all to someone who specializes in this problem.
I've been on Fentanyl Patches for 3 years and it's allowed me to go to college by helping my back pain. I was paralyzed in an accident and have had horrendous back pain. I'm finally starting to wean of of the Fentanyl, though. I just went from 100mcg to 75mcg today. I'll be on the 75mcg for 2 months, I think, before going to 50mcg. Then another 2 months on the 50mcg. I also change them every 48 hours instead of every 72. Any other pain killer does NOTHING to me.
if you are looking to find a solution to ease the pain without the constipation try taking the meds as directed and try drinking a lot of water or cranberry juice for the constipation. i hope you feel better.

Don't try methadone it's withdraws are 10 times worse than any other opioid! I know this because i was detoxed (forced) in 10 days from taking 250 mg. I almost died! Try suboxone it's a lot easier to stop taking when you're ready to quite!! Peace!
You may think the doctor is right, but they shouldnt even be thinking about putting you on morphine then DHC. I dont care what they say its just silly.

Sweetheart, I don't know a lot about drugs...I just know that less than 24 hours ago my 26 year old niece died from fentanyl....So please, please be safe. Be sure not to raise the temp of the patch...use of hot pad, hot bath. It will cause the patch to release large amounts of the drug into the body.
Try OXYMORPHONE, Opana & Opana-ER® in the US. I've taken just about every opiate that exists, and it usually doesn't turn out well. I use to be on 160mg of Methadone a day, and It stopped working. I detoxed to Buprenorphine. Unfortunately, ALL opioids will cause constipation. I have back pain but I deal with it, it sucks, but I do the best I can. I have Panic Disorder, and I take Klonopin® (Clonazepam) 2mg (6x+) daily. Panic Disorder is FAR worse, at least in my opinion. Be careful man!

My cousin just died from Fentanyl pastches last week that her doctor gave her from back pain. Fentanyl is one of the top killer drugs in the US. It has killed many thousands of people just like Methadone has. You must be in a lot of pain b4 your GP will be prepared to prescribe you that. Most GPs wont give morphine unless its quite severe pain. You get a lot of addictive drugs, try not to take more than your prescribed.
Well you mean oxycodone? That is what I think you meant. But, since you're getting sustained released, you can try oxycontin (if they give it to you). I don't see why they wouldn't if they gave you fentanyl. And those Fentanyl patches are in micrograms, not milligrams. Milligrams = 1x10^-3 and Micrograms = 1x10^-6... Oxycontin is just oxycodone, but sustained release. Good Luck

My brother has been on methadone 6 yrs about 90mgs daily and his doctor said that he would have to cut back on the methadone until he reached 30 mgs before he would put him on the subuxone. Did u have to do that? and if so how bad was it?
These medications are life and death. Remember, nothing you take (Well, nothing it's safe to take without medical supervision) is ever going to completely take away your pain. The point of pain management, as I understand it, is to make the pain manageable. Sort of, taking it from a 10 to a 4 or 5.
you are kinda right all strong opiates will alliviate 100% of pain in high enough doses, BUT only terminal patients will recieve hat much because in those thyp of doses it is nothing short of possible to get off.

I have a serious back issue and am in pain 24/7. I take 4800mg per day but it isn't appropriate to provide a list of meds to try. I don't think this is the place for drug advice. You're being given a menu and it's ridiculous! Go to a GP and ask for a referral to a pain clinic. You'll then get access to a Consultant who understands pain medication and alternatives like acupuncture, neurostimulation and physio etc. Don't take any drug advice from anyone who isn't a pain doctor. My wife has taken 50mcg Fentanyl patchs for years. She could use the 75s, but cost are to high. She also takes 500mg or 1000mg. for pain. Depends on pain level for that day. Been this way since after cancer in 1998..

Be VERY careful with Fentanyl..im on the 75 mcg patch and it has a LOT of bad side effects....my tollerance is so high its unreal For brekthrough pain im taking 8-10 Norco 10/325's a day....Find another way...if u can

The known side effects are a deceased in brain function which manifests as slowed or shallow breathin, deceased heart rate, deceased sexual activity, constipation, deceased urination, and an increase in pain tolerance. If you felt the need to add an additional medication to the prescribed regime, then you have developed tolerance to the medication. See your MD ASAP

i realises it into your bloodstream in mcg.. i believe most are like 100mcg/hr or something like that. the typical patch contains a total amount of 10mg to 16mg of fentanyl. i should know. i've shot up an entire 16mg patch in one day..equivalent to approx 1600mg of IV morphine or oxy. now i only smoke the ganja. opiates are the devil, the high is temporary and you will pay for it financially, physically, and spiritually.
mate please see a therapist and tell him you post multiple youtube videos requesting help on various medicitions. this is classic drug seeking behaviour. you need to stop it and see a psychologist, instead of asking your GP for drugs. everything you request is highly addictive and deadly.
I absolutely agree with sebastienxavier. You need (in my opinion) all or at least part of therapy which I've had advived you but you need psychological help as well. You must stop believing that all those drugs will cure you - you can take some of them in your very, very bad back day but not all the time. You never ever drop med completely and suddenly , always counsult a doc; med - even benzos are for people but in MODERATION. Most of our doc are good but not always have enough time 4 us being limited to 7 - 10 min for 1 patient. I know :all this treatments which I've told U are expensive but even if U decided to use plastic or borrow money U will not regret it. But only after years of tolerance, but you must of had a bad doctor because he should of never left you on such a high dose organ failur could of resulted, he should of put you on morphiene or sufentanlwhich would give you the same pain relief at 1 tenth the dose( well not in the case of morphiene) but you get the idea!!!
if adaquate pain relief is required for your ailment, would be fentanyl lollypop, oral (parental) route is better than the transdermal route patch u use!

Dont take them thats my advice. Try to get off all of them meds and go back or get on percocet them are still bad and highly adtictive but not so much as those pills. Always take the least you go of the lowest dose you can. Or you will be in big trouble if you get addicted to them.

It might help if you told us WHY your being presribed the strong opiates. I take 640 mg Oxycodone/day plus 8mg Oxymorphone (Dilaudid) tablets 1-2 x 6 hrs for breakthrough and I have an intrathecal so called morphine pump that injects 10 mg /ml or 10mg/cc of Dilaudid (Via my spinal canal, not epidural intrathecal. I was injured 30 years ago and was level on a much lower dose of meds. Then car accident in 8-2006 has caused T-12 the fall and embed into L-1 compression frcture Opiates no longer work
You dont not take 640 mg of oxycodone a day 640 mg would kill anyone. What most people dont know is that percocet comes in 5mg-30mg pills ive not seen higher then 30 mg pills. But most people think that if it says 5/500 then they are taking 500mg. The 500 is the tylenol in the pill and the 5mg is the oxycodone. If you was taking 640 mg a day you would be taking 120+ percocet pills a day. Anyway 2confused even with the 8mg of Oxymorphone and the morphine drip your on too much meds as well.
well oxycotin comes in at 120 mg being the highest. But even 640mg of oxycotin would be 5 120 mg pills and a 40 mg oxy and that also would kill anyone. The highest amount of anything ive seen givin to someone is 120 perc 5s a month 120 50mg tramadol a month and 60 morphine 60mg a month. And that there is still too much.

It just barely works and Im detoxing at 4 to 5 am each day now cant go back to sleep for arms muslces pulling, I take 1 or 2 30 minutes later I can resume sleep but it a hellof a way to exist. I curse the day I ever touched them. Look up hyperalgesia....
if your patches don't seem to be working shavedinside of your legs and stick the patches there you will not pull any hair off of your legs and it seems it seems to absorbed into the bloodstream quicker

I have been taking oxy's for a nueralogical disorder for almost 2 yr. now. and I want to get off them... I think If I spread out the doses and lower the amount each time. It may work... if you want to get off morphine, use panadene forte to get off it and that will help. I was hooked on morphine for 3 years and it was very hard because I kept going through the withdrawals because I couldnt get any until i seen my docor and then I asked him for panaden forte and it got me off morphine,and I was on it for back pain I have been on Tramadol now and that does the trick for bakpain.

I have backpain and I've found that Oxycodone is the best for backpain. Percocet.....which is basically oxycodone and a pain reliever works too. I take hydrocodine but I can end up taking up to 8 a day which is the max for daily recommended pain reliever for your liver to process. I think Oxycodone 40's are best but percocet 30 is good too. I can be fine almost all day with only 1 of either of those......:)

I was on 150 MCG of Fentanyl every 3 days it worked somewhat ,, but I started to chew them patches and I almost OD on them, so I learned to control the dosage of intake by chewing them and it felt realy nice, I suggest you try Demorrol, that's a good pain killer, or like my self right now I'm on 80 MG of methadone daily and that seems to gime me a steady pain relief, and that's all I take at the time, until it dosen;t work and then I'll experiment with something else. I just want to say good luck with your pain and med decision, and I wanted to suggest poppy tea. I make it sometimes for my chronic migraines and back pain. It helps me relax and sleep too. Also there is a plant called Kratom that is good for pain and less addictive and with less side effects than opiates. Also you are so cute and I love your accent! :)

Through every type of opiate i have tried, Tramadol seems to be the least addictive and has fewest side effects and delivers decent pain relief. My gp tried me on this and it was very effective, you have to be off the "strong" opiates for at least a week before you will benefit from Tramadol. You can substitue codeine for the week to help ease the withdrawls from the fentanyl.

The withdrawls...Oh my lord, the pain, sickness, depression, insanity, fear... I was using the 100 mcg patch and cut down on my own to 50 mcg because detoxing from the 100 mcg nearly killed me. My mother kept me alive by feeding me ice chips. I went to a detox and got off the 50 mch patch, I have been clean for a couple years and my pain is a hundred times less now, i vaporize marijuna every day, You can get capsule cannibinol. Ask your gp.

Sounds like your in a pickel..I have a severe back problem, there is no fluid in my Disk in my entire spine. That is very painful so Ive been on Pain pills for 18 yrs and Im only 31 yrs old. Ive been on all the major meds like Methadone,percocet,Ms contin and Oxycodone. Years of pain turned into years of abuse. Use a fiber drug. The powdered fiber you add to drinks. It will help with the constipation. I would stay away from fentanyl. Morphine is going to be the best pain killer.

I was on vicodin for 13 years 15 to 20 a day. I tried a few times to get off of it but the withdraws were to painful. Didn't want to go to rehab because that will follow you around for the rest of your life. So what I did was turn to the lord and got serious about it. When I gave it to him the only withdraw I had was couldn't sleep very good for awhile but I will take that anyday. Severe spinal tumors, broken back, ankylosing spondylitis here. I've been on Percoset, Vicodin, Vicoprofen, morphine, and fentanyl. I was on perc/morphine/fenty for over a year. I recently came off morphine completely; now I'm on 75 mcg/3-day fentanyl patches with 7.5 mg percoset x3/day for breakthroughts. I love it.

if you can live any kind of decent life without being on opiates i would suggest stopping them gradually. if not, please take my advice: DO NOT KEEP INCREASING YOUR DOSAGE! I am a chronic pain sufferer as well and i can tell you this is a very slippery slope you are on. But, if you MUST take the opiates, just keep the dosage the same each day and do NOT get used to higher dosages. Also, long term use can create pain from simply overusing the opiates. I am 47,back surg. 8 yr ago. been through oxy, fentanyl, morphine, dilaudid.. I have lost Physicians, been doctorless, gone through oxy w/drawal after 3 yrs @ 200-300 mg p/day. My friend, some of us are genetically equipped to function w/ these drugs;others, like you and I, are not.*go to your Dr. ask for rehab. replace muscle strengthand supportinstead.

i take roxycotin which is the same as oxycotin, but with out the time release on them. i take 15mg 4 times a day and it helps me. however the fentanyl your taking is 100 times stronger than morphine. also i have cerebral palsy, i was born with it, and i'm 27.yrs old. ive been on pain meds since 20yrs old.

Dihydocodeine is a shitty weak drug. Where I live people turn mst or other morph formulations into heroin. It is so easy and makes it much stronger. 3 steps about 10 minutes max. Only problem is the chemical necessary to acetylate morph is getting scarce and bloddy expensive. Always wondered why I never see it in the states.

Dude, first your Doctor should have told you that Fentanyl does not work for up to the first week(not in the first 3 days). And given your dose, the 25mcg/h, will not even register...25 is the dose they give to baseline opiod users. I've tried every possible pain med available and this is the only one that works...however, I take 100mcg/h and it did not work until I tried this dose, so get your Doctor to slowly build it up until it works. After 25 it goes to 50 then to 100. No pills anymore...

i had knee surgery and was prescribed opiates for a year. getting off of it was hell... my advice is that you never start the morphine. my leg hurts still, but nothing was worse than the dependence on drugs.
stick with the tylenol and advil... please please please don't start the pills (i know its been well over a year since you posted, hope you never started..)

I will agree with you one the patch that held the drug in the resivor but not the new patches. I think there is a problem with the way the fentanyl is delivered via the pops. Have you guys herd of Sufenta? Its said to be 100 to 1000 times stronger than.Fentanyl. Its the only drug left (except diprovan) that they can put me out for minor surgeries with.

Just one question How do you go from hydrocodone (vicodin) , to Fentanyl (1000 x more potent then morphine). It's quite clear that your doctor doesn't know what he is doing and should have his license revoked. Your digging yourself in a hole . 1st see a another doctor and request percocet (oxy/APAP) if the hydrocodone in reality isn't working for you . Don't take offense to this but you sound like your high like a kite. That medication is no joke I hope you know what your getting yourself into.

I got to comment here. I'm the 54 yr old dude with 20 back operations that needsanother major op. I took 3 of the 800mcg fentanyl lolypops and I got no pain reduction at all. Then again I'm used to 640mg of oxycontin a day dilaudid 8mg prn plus I was on a morphine pump with hydromorphone 16mg/day , probably why but I should have got "some" pain reduction. I think the pops do not deliver the Fentanyl right. Maybe if they were sublingual like suboxone, I'm not sure.

First off you suffer from long term pain I would recomend a pain clinic doctor first off. I have been on and off all kinds of pain killers for a back injury from a car accident where my back was cracked in two places my tailbone was broke and i have spinal cord damage. Asking someone else and getting there advice is nice to see the feed back but truly its you knowing on your body and explaining it all to someone who specializes in this problem.

I've been on Fentanyl Patches for 3 years and it's allowed me to go to college by helping my back pain. I was paralyzed in an accident and have had horrendous back pain. I'm finally starting to wean of of the Fentanyl, though. I just went from 100mcg to 75mcg today. I'll be on the 75mcg for 2 months, I think, before going to 50mcg. Then another 2 months on the 50mcg. I also change them every 48 hours instead of every 72. Any other pain killer does NOTHING to me.

Don't try methadone it's withdraws are 10 times worse than any other opioid! I know this because i was detoxed (forced) in 10 days from taking 250 mg. I almost died! Try suboxone it's a lot easier to stop taking when you're ready to quite!! Peace!

Sweetheart, I don't know a lot about drugs...I just know that less than 24 hours ago my 26 year old niece died from fentanyl....So please, please be safe. Be sure not to raise the temp of the patch...use of hot pad, hot bath. It will cause the patch to release large amounts of the drug into the body.

Try OXYMORPHONE, Opana & Opana-ER® in the US. I've taken just about every opiate that exists, and it usually doesn't turn out well. I use to be on 160mg of Methadone a day, and It stopped working. I detoxed to Buprenorphine. Unfortunately, ALL opioids will cause constipation. I have back pain but I deal with it, it sucks, but I do the best I can. I have Panic Disorder, and I take Klonopin® (Clonazepam) 2mg (6x+) daily. Panic Disorder is FAR worse, at least in my opinion. Be careful man!

My cousin just died from Fentanyl pastches last week that her doctor gave her from back pain. Fentanyl is one of the top killer drugs in the US. It has killed many thousands of people just like Methadone has. You must be in a lot of pain b4 your GP will be prepared to prescribe you that. Most GPs wont give morphine unless its quite severe pain. You get a lot of addictive drugs, try not to take more than your prescribed.

Well you mean oxycodone? That is what I think you meant. But, since you're getting sustained released, you can try oxycontin (if they give it to you). I don't see why they wouldn't if they gave you fentanyl. And those Fentanyl patches are in micrograms, not milligrams. Milligrams = 1x10^-3 and Micrograms = 1x10^-6... Oxycontin is just oxycodone, but sustained release. Good Luck

My brother has been on methadone 6 yrs about 90mgs daily and his doctor said that he would have to cut back on the methadone until he reached 30 mgs before he would put him on the subuxone. These medications are life and death. Remember, nothing you take (Well, nothing it's safe to take without medical supervision) is ever going to completely take away your pain. The point of pain management, as I understand it, is to make the pain manageable. Sort of, taking it from a 10 to a 4 or 5.

I have a serious back issue and am in pain 24/7. I take 4800mg per day but it isn't appropriate to provide a list of meds to try. I don't think this is the place for drug advice. You're being given a menu and it's ridiculous! Go to a GP and ask for a referral to a pain clinic. You'll then get access to a Consultant who understands pain medication and alternatives like acupuncture, neurostimulation and physio etc. Don't take any drug advice from anyone who isn't a pain doctor. the brain will actually take up fentanyl 1000better than regular morhine and opiods..
the molekylary structure is formed to just deal with pain a lot better..
fentanyl is 85 times stronger than morphine.
100mcg/h equals to 391-480mg of morphine..
but,usually u have to have another opiod on the side,cause fentanyl is supposed to just be the basic so u do not need alot of mg of other opiods..
methadone-KEEP AWAY from it..
that is pure poison for ur body..

I am on 100mcg/h durogesic transdermal fentanyl patch..
I also use 30 mg morphine tabs on the side...
but,I get it all "for free" cause it is under a paragraf that says that I need it to be alive and funcnable...
durogesic doesnt start working properly before aprox.12 ours..
after 24ours U can feel the top..
and after 72 ours it will come to a steady state..
and if U do tha patch changes aprox. at the same time every 72 our U will have the best pain reeleaf..

Morphine, Hydrocodone, oxycodone, fentanyl etc are opiates and they work on the mu receptors in the spinal cord to relieve pain. The known side effects are a deceased in brain function which manifests as slowed or shallow breathin, deceased heart rate, deceased sexual activity, constipation, deceased urination, and an increase in pain tolerance. If you felt the need to add an additional medication to the prescribed regime, then you have developed tolerance to the medication. See your MD ASAP

i realises it into your bloodstream in mcg.. i believe most are like 100mcg/hr or something like that. the typical patch contains a total amount of 10mg to 16mg of fentanyl. i should know. i've shot up an entire 16mg patch in one day..equivalent to approx 1600mg of IV morphine or oxy. now i only smoke the ganja. opiates are the devil, the high is temporary and you will pay for it financially, physically, and spiritually.

I absolutely agree with sebastienxavier. You need (in my opinion) all or at least part of therapy which I've had advived you but you need psychological help as well. You must stop believing that all those drugs will cure you - you can take some of them in your very, very bad back day but not all the time. You might suffer from attention seeking disorter manifesting like Sebasian is saying in classic drug seeking behaviour. Go 2 yr GP and ask 4 referal psychotherapist. Help yourself. Bless you

You never ever drop med completely and suddenly , always counsult a doc; med - even benzos are for people but in MODERATION. Most of our doc are good but not always have enough time 4 us being limited to 7 - 10 min for 1 patient. I know :all this treatments which I've told U are expensive but even if U decided to use plastic or borrow money U will not regret it. It's your health and all of these therapies work ; help to come off med, help U to feel better. Go for it! 4 yr own sake. Good luck!

if adaquate pain relief is required for your ailment, would be fentanyl lollypop, oral (parental) route is better than the transdermal route patch u use!

Dont take them thats my advice. Try to get off all of them meds and go back or get on percocet them are still bad and highly adtictive but not so much as those pills. Always take the least you go of the lowest dose you can. Or you will be in big trouble if you get addicted to them.

Dunno about the pain ... check around for a specialist who's not a pill pusher. Getting off all that shit can be baaaaaad. The Suboxone mentiond esrlier seems to be the ticket out of the chemical soup you're on.
Find a new doctor -- that last one has turned you into a serious junkie.

It might help if you told us WHY your being presribed the strong opiates. I take 640 mg Oxycodone/day plus 8mg Oxymorphone (Dilaudid) tablets 1-2 x 6 hrs for breakthrough and I have an intrathecal so called morphine pump that injects 10 mg /ml or 10mg/cc of Dilaudid (Via my spinal canal, not epidural intrathecal. I was injured 30 years ago and was level on a much lower dose of meds. Then car accident in 8-2006 has caused T-12 the fall and embed into L-1 compression frcture Opiates no longer work

You dont not take 640 mg of oxycodone a day 640 mg would kill anyone. What most people dont know is that percocet comes in 5mg-30mg pills ive not seen higher then 30 mg pills. But most people think that if it says 5/500 then they are taking 500mg. The 500 is the tylenol in the pill and the 5mg is the oxycodone. If you was taking 640 mg a day you would be taking 120+ percocet pills a day. Anyway 2confused even with the 8mg of Oxymorphone and the morphine drip your on too much meds as well.

your right about percocet not coming in higher ammounts than 30mg oxycodone, but oxycotin comes in pills of up to 80mg, with no tylenol.
I think the guy is full of shit, 640mg of oxycodne a day is enough to kill even the most opiate tolerant patients

well oxycotin comes in at 120 mg being the highest. But even 640mg of oxycotin would be 5 120 mg pills and a 40 mg oxy and that also would kill anyone. The highest amount of anything ive seen givin to someone is 120 perc 5s a month 120 50mg tramadol a month and 60 morphine 60mg a month. And that there is still too much.

Well sorrry to take so long to answer but yes I have taken 640mg/day for more than 5 years PLUS I take Dilaudid p.o. plus Dilaudid intrathecally. (via my spinal canal) Nope I am sorry to say that I posted no mistake. develo-eed a terrible habbit and now the opiates have 95% stopped kiling the pain. I find I need them now just to function. I wished I had never taken the 1st one. If I knew what I know now I would have thrown my first oxycontin script in the trsh

Yes my good buddy oxycontin 80's same as oxycodone. Ive take 640mg/day for over 10 years. It just barely works and Im detoxing at 4 to 5 am each day now cant go back to sleep for arms muslces pulling, I take 1 or 2 30 minutes later I can resume sleep but it a hellof a way to exist. I curse the day I ever touched them. Look up hyperalgesia....
