  • my grandma have this

  • Extended presser foot.

  • I wish commercial were like this today. Just a nice voice demonstrating a product. I have a zigzagger that was made for my White series 77 sewing machine by Greist. Exact same item. It works wonderfully and is a must for mending. If you enjoy using your old straight stitch machine. Then you need to pick one of these up on E-bay. I'll make your machine more useful. And a vintage machine is SO MUCH better then the cheap Walmart junk out today. Happy Sewing friends!

  • That $14.95 attachment would cost $132.00 in today's money.

  • I have a sewing class textbook from the fifties and the zigzagger is in it. It's a trip seeing a commercial for it.

  • My mother sewed my clothes. I learned to sew, but in reality.... I don't have the time.

  • What a peaceful trip to the past.

I would love to see the show as well as the commercial. Some of my favorite actors. So handsome and they could really act, unlike some so-called actors today that rely entirely on their looks and the special effects.

  • I am so sure Dick Powell was invested in this....

  • Wow, another GEM from Ira's collection of goodies! These commercials are better than most shows on network TV today!

  • That's right, 'Earl'- "FOUR STAR PLAYHOUSE", under Singer's sponsorship (and Bristol-Myers as "alternate sponsor" in 1955-'56), aired from 1952 through '56. This example was first seen in February 1955...

  • This episode actually aired on CBS in 1955, not 1950.

  • lol..
