  • That's a hot sound, they are great little amps.

  • hi, i was wondering how do you use the delay pedal, i mean, what are the settings, cause i'm new to delays and am trying to get some 80's lead sounds

  • Is it an impro...

    That`s bery cool man!!!!

  • What are you using for a phaser?

  • i'm sorry for my ignorance, but i always wondered how does the delay get used in this kind of solos, i understand it has few repetitions and these are very close together, but i'd like to know more, since i understand it's got a lot to do with the tone of these solos, plus what kind of delay are you using?

  • kickass. How much level and drive do you give your OCD? I have this exact setup except I have the weber with the 2 knobs for low/mid and mid/high. Your tone is 100% better than mine, I'm not even close. I'm trying to find the difference other than your superiority as a player.

  • What does an attentuator do? :3

  • what phaser did you use for the rhythm track? its so fucking gooey i love it

  • Messy and dirty guitar - just how i like it. Oh the tone just kills. Thanks!

  • Thanks so much

  • I cried. this tone!!!

  • LOL..Thanks!!

  • Very Nice!

  • so awesome

  • Thank you!!

  • Thank you

  • It's 5 watts - do you really need to attenuate? Not being a smart ass, really. Apartment dweller?

  • @LyteWave I play in a garage setting and I can't get above 9 o'clock with my VJ. That's why I'm looking here. A 5 watt tube amp can be 1/2 as loud as a 50 watt tube amp.

  • @LyteWave Yes, he does, to get the true tube sound. These little amps are really loud, I have one, but I use a Dr.Z BrakeLite. Check the other Valve Juniors on here, this guys' sounds best cause it's cranked and attenuated.

  • @LyteWave Thank you, x1000.

  • Wow! Such incredible playing and tone! Cheers!

  • Thanks so much..

  • Awesome demo of this amp! Actually the best i have seen, and probably will see...good job!

  • Now come clean about your effects chain, Mr. watery modulation.

  • I was looking for a good example of how that Epiphone sounds. Now I come here only to listen to that lead. Cool.

  • Awesome awesome tone. Show those crappy overpriced Mesas who's boss!

  • Attenuator on a 5 watt amp? Laughable.

  • @ZachWildSuxxx Even 5 wats of tubes can be loud in a small room.....especailly if you are playing at night with sleeping kids in the other room....this way you can crank that fucker up and not have it so loud.....christ, you know what an attenuator is.....

  • @blackbloodstudios Ever heard of headphones, sizzle chest?

  • @ZachWildSuxxx Your 10w solid state squier amp has a headphone socket....The EVJ doesn't.

  • @justinwiggy You're absolutely correct, mate. Do you like to hook your attenuator up to your 1/2 watt amp so you don't wake your parents too? Just buy a headphone amp--pussies.

  • @ZachWildSuxxx So you'd settle for cheap ass solid state simulation over the real thing....great taste man. Don't hafta worry about waking my parents like you boy...flew the nest many years ago. One day, you may grow some nuts leave home yourself little boy.

  • @ZachWildSuxxx name calling over something like this? now that is something that is actually "Laughable"

  • @ZachWildSuxxx ..actually its not laughable... a 5 watt tube amp cranked will shake the windows in your apartment, and pretty much wake everyone up on your block.

  • @philthfrog I already laughed so your point is moot. This guy probably never gets his four cylinder car over 30 miles per hour. Same concept.

  • @ZachWildSuxxx doesn't matter if it's 5 watts or 500,you need something to absorb the power so you can crank the amp without making too much noise and keeping the tone. not everyone likes headphones and generally doesn't have the same space/sound as open air environment. matter of preference i guess.

  • what does that thing on top of the amp do

  • lifeson=smelly shit

  • whats the difference between the more expensive attenuators like Ultimate attenuator and cheaper ones like this one or webber mass? do the cheaper ones suck your tone ?

  • Damn....that's sweet!! Great tone and playing!!

  • WOW my son has this amp makes me wanna do some playing around good vid dude

  • people should play leads IN A BAND SETTING like you are doing to really judge tones.. something can sound good by itself but could sound bad with a band.. can i get some thumbs?

  • Its people like you that sell products to those looking into buying them. If you compare this to something like a gearwire demo, this is better despite only being something supposedly amateur. Thanks to this video plus one other by another average everyday guy, im going to purchase this. You sir, are amazing.

  • You compliment is amazing.....I thank you so much..hope you love the amp..glad my video showed you the way..:)

  • @schenker69 Thats no worry at all. I was watching another VJ with some terrible american in it, playing led zeppelin incredibly badly, thinking to myself "i really need an amp but this dude is making this amp look shite". I then watched a gearwire video thinking "these guys are pro, they should do a good demo" and they just didnt. You created the most amazing tone and as i said, its completely sold the amp to me.

  • Very cool bro!!

  • I first saw this clip a few years ago; I must have watched it at least ten times by now. Fabulous playing. I hear a bit of Alex Lifeson in here too, which I like.

  • Thanks so much..lifeson rocks!! most def. an influence on me

  • Bought me a junior combo today for just € 65,00. Nice sound and very loud.

  • that was perfect, 6 stars..i have pgm301, if i take this amp, is it enough to have a sound like you or what do you advice..i loved so so so much your guitar'S voice!!

  • damn- incredible playing!!! I'm blown away. your also a good sales men as i'm going to buy this amp now!

  • Thank you!!

  • Great video. I have a Valve Junior that I run through a 20 year old Infinity Home Stereo cabinet. It breaks up amazingly.

People don't understand the sounds you can get without dropping a ton of cash. Nice job.

By the way I use a Tube Cube Pro 80 attenuator and it does a very nice job.

  • Thanks so much....so true

  • I think people are a little harsh on this amp's tone. The 'muddiness' people refer to, I think, is just a bad first impression of its early overdrive. I have a strat & one of these, & the neck pickup gets a thick bass response, & the bridge sounds like early 70's rock. Crank it & run a Boss SuperOD in front (which brightens the tone anyway,) & you get a great overload you can actually shred with. Almost makes it sound like a "brown" Vox combo, if that makes any sense. More mids, though.

  • sounds like you've listened to a bit of Michael Schenker,,,well done

  • Thanks!!! Worship the man

  • Does this amp stay quiet enough to play in a bedroom but still get that great tone? Sounds amazing.

  • Very quiet with the attenuator..sounds great...THANKS!!!!

  • SMOKIN'! I'd love to hear you play that with an old Boogie 22 Cal.

  • Thanks!!!!!

  • you're quickly becoming one of my favorite guitar players on youtube. The tone in this video is just incredible. Your playing style is so powerful. GOOD JOB MY MAN!

  • Very cool compliment bro... can't thank you enough.

  • dude, i have a valve junior, and when i crank mine up the tone suuuucks. It sounds great on low volume, but when i get the breakup, it sounds muddy and well, awful to be honest. If this attenuator will make my valve junior sound like that, I'd sure like to know where to get one!

  • Come in here from time to time just to check out that tone man. Love it.

  • Your super cool brotha...Thanks!!!

  • What Weber Model attenuator are you using?

  • mini mass

  • Mini Mass 25 or 50 ?

  • 25 sorry

  • 1 word amazing

  • THANKS!!!!

  • Without doubt the best tone ever heard on youtube! your playing is awesome!!

  • I've just bought a marshall class 5' and already have an OCD V3' I've gotta get me a mini mass!!!!!!

  • Nice playing. The amp, the guitar and the fulltone mix well

  • Thanks!!

  • how did you get the muddiness out? Single coils?

  • I never use high output pickups around 8 or 9K

  • Really awesome.

  • Thanks!!!!!

  • i know this question is very annoying, but what scales are you using? its just i need to watch this video over and over, cause its fucking amazing man, no way im getting tired of this video

  • Not annoying great compliment..I use major and minor pentatonic alot and aeolian mode. Hope this helps thanks so much. Glad you dig it

  • damn, that sound fucking awesome.

  • Very cool!!!! Thank you

  • Awesome tone! You will likely kill the speaker using a drum machine through the amp if that's what you are doing, but great playing you sound like a pro.

  • Thanks!! drums are coming thru a set of krk rockets. Great compliment....

  • tremendo!! muy bueno, si señor

  • gracias

  • Que sonido tan bello

  • Su complemento es hermoso

  • That is one amazing tone from such a little amp.

  • Thank you!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet! I'm getting this exact setup! Great to hear it!

    (With a vox cabinet though!)

  • Very cool!! Would love to hear it

  • Right on. I love small tube amps! This sounds awesome. I have a Blues Jr, the Blackheart is next.

  • Thank you so much.........

  • Thanks!!

  • How do you have you OCD set up for this, honestly that is an awsome full sound.

  • level maxxed out, tone at 3 0clock, drive zero

  • Thanks, awsome playing too.

  • Anytime!! Thanks

  • What delay are your running? This really makes me consider getting a valve jr.

Whats with the guy below me who has head and wants to get combo?

Can the same tone not be achieved with head version of epi valve :P?

  • probably more so

  • the Weber is 8 ohms but the VJ speaker is 16 ohms. The VJ has 3 output jacks ... which jack do you connect to the Weber?

  • 16 on the VJ to weber to speaker. the weber should matche impendances for you. check webers site for specs on your model

  • i just got an email from Ted Weber and he stated to use the 8 ohm output of the VJ because the Micromass is 8 ohm, he said nothing about impedance matching capabilities of the Micromass and it does not state this capability on the web site either, i was just curious as to what ohm jack shenker69 is using

  • thats not what he told me. i have the micro mass and do what I suggest.. no problems in over a year. he also told me that you can plug head phones into the micromass as it matches the impedance between amp and head phones.

  • hmmmm, now i'm confused. i wonder what others are doing as far as the ohm ouput goes ...

do you have the new micromass with the 2 knobs on the front? (the current one on their web site right now)

  • yes the one with two knobs on the front using the 16 ohm tap on the amp

  • absolutely top notch

  • Your top notch- THANKS!!

  • I have an epi head, but everytime I hear this I think about getting a combo and just going nuts on it.. put in a heybour (sp?) tran, bitmo tone control, maybe a weber speaker..

  • sounds cool bro

  • This is probably my favourite guitar solo at the moment! Your playing is just excellent bro, best youtube guitarist in my opinion!

Ive looked at some of these comments, you must have sold a lot of VJs with this video! I myself have just ordered one because of your demos - although im prepared to be disappointed a little as its obvious a lot of your tone is in your fingers!. You should send this and your viewing figures to epiphone, they might sponsor you!

    Thanks for the vid!

  • Your compliments are unreal and I thank you so much. A past Youtuber attempted to contact epiphone with my tone, they never replied. Thanks for your opinion and thoughts.

  • how much attenuation is being used?

  • Amp is dimed attenuator volume around 2

  • lower numbers on the attenuator mean less attenuation is being applied, am i correct? if you had the attenuator on 8 for example, the sound of the amp would be much quiter, yes?

  • negative!! Attenuator working full acting like amps master volume. Turn up the attenuator volume gets louder

  • cool, so you get this tone with the volume being about "bedroom level" ?

  • Yep!!

  • nice ... how much different does it sound when you don't use the Weber?

  • Stock amp sounds the same but too loud. in a studio situation fine but not in a apartment. A very loud 5 watts

  • WOW !!! It sounds awesome

  • Thanks!!

  • You don't use any pedals here?

  • Hint of overdrive

  • what kind of guitar are you using?

can the weber completely mute the amp volume?

  • The guitar is a Warmoth stratocaster humbucker in the bridge. The attenuator will control the volume of the amp so you can get cranked amp tone at bedroom volumes.

  • thanx, in this video, how much attenuation is being applied? it looks like almost none.

  • best damn gear demo on youtube

    that is some mean playing

  • Hey!! Thanks so much

  • Thanks!!

  • the drive is the amp to max+Fulltone OCD?

  • Yes sir

  • You're technical and musical with emotion, without sounding like a cheesy 80's metal wanker or blues repetitive and cliché player like 95% youtubers.Great tone man, that's refreshing

  • love the phrasing and tone...nice

  • Thanks bro

  • I have a 50w Weber MiniMass for my peavey Delta Blues (30w) and I'm extremely happy with it! Nice jam, man. Love the ton, too!

  • Very cool THANKS!!

  • hey you rock, i wanted to ask you if you know anything about the VOXAC30CC2, since i'd like to buy it, and do you know if this attenuator would be good for it?

  • Thanks!! In the few times I have jammed through a ac30 I loved it. Don't have details on them but they sang some sweet tones in my trials. Check out the weber attenuators they will attenuate just fine and there reasonably priced.

  • first of all, you really are AWESOME,i'm getting addicted to this video, so you suggest me the vox?

  • Thanks again bro. I highly recommend the vox

  • Ma la bombola del gas dove si mette?

  • cascajo!

  • que bien tocas y que bien suena el cacharrito

  • that playing was badass

  • LOL!! Thank you

  • I agree sounded awsome man. Alot of feeling to it

  • but you do? Maybe you should shut the fuck up and never comment on anything EVER again.

  • Did you get the attenuator right from Weber? And i know you're using the Micro Mass, but is it the 50W or 25W model? I really love your tone man! Keep it up!

  • Yep!! Attenuator is direct from weber. I'm using the mini mass not the micro. If I remember correctly it was rated for 25 watts. Thanks for the compliment.

  • oh god, whats this shit, man? really awesome. I dont know what kind of mood you were in that time but its definitely cryin tone, man. me and ma girl listenin this beauty time to time since i first hearin.. Short but great piece and best of all, it has a soul. keep on good work, bro.

  • Thanks!! Much appreciated- glad you dig.

  • Heeey Ron? are you Michael Schenker... Either way your still amazing, at what you do.

  • Very cool compliment. Thumbs up too you, THANKS!!

  • Nice vibrato! What pickups are you using? Sounds quite bright for an LP.

  • Thanks!! pickups are duncan antiquity

  • wow what a fat tone! how much for the weber? so much for getting a mg50fdx marshall, i h8 solid st8, this is my next purchase. I'm gonna go w/junior head and upgraded tubes w/a celest cab...what more can a guy ask for?!??!

  • Thanks!! The Weber ran around 75 bucks not sure if there more now. Go for the Junior your gonna love it.

  • Wow! Best solo tone I've ever heard from a Valve Junior!

  • Thank you

  • Haha man you did it again, i found that song, 'sad day in the city' it's like coke for my ears.

  • LMFAO YOU ROCK THANKS!!

  • Haha, now I get it.. My english isn't great.

But thanks a lot! I'll check the Arion out :)

  • The arion is a great pedal for about $29 US. Sounds just as good as most of the expensive stuff out there, One of my favorites.

  • I'll check it out.

    Thanks again!

  • Well, I'm confused now.. Are you saying that the OCD is cheap?

  • Did you not say you cant afford the ocd? And ask me to recommend a affordable pedal.

  • How much of the drive comes from the OCD?

    Great playing :)

  • Thanks!! Your mostly hearing the amp

  • Cool.. Cause I cannot afford the OCD. Can you recommend the pedal?

  • This is the best bang for the buck I love these and there cheap. ARION MTE-1

  • The sound is so awesome, great playing too!

    Which Attenuator is it exactly?
