  • Traveling stock routes are comprised of a great deal of "edge". The extra exposure to sunlight along these edges supports large quantities of mistletoe. A good number of mistletoe species have been demonstrated to work as important refugia for insect and bird life. Roadside and stock route mistletoe may already be keeping a number of species viable. (contact me for references)
