  • Fascinating. Thank you for the information!

  • Really well done video!

  • Clear, precise and informative. I wish all Youtube history videos were like this.

    Many thanks.

  • @BRUTUALTRUTH Thank you! I can't abide the myths and falsehoods that surround Anne Boleyn and her family.

  • All my ancestors were assassins well not all of em a couple had military records and only a few were married and died of old age only 7 of them lived there lives fully and those are dust the ones I know about

  • Wonderful video - and thank you for setting the record straight. I visited the Tower in 1970 to experience the Boleyn locales. Glad I now have your video to keep my memories fresh (and accurate).

Please know how much people enjoy and appreciate all your time, effort, and expertise. Thank you! - MLHumphrey

  • @HumphreyML I'm so glad that you enjoyed the video and thanks for your very kind words.

  • Thank you for taking the time to put this together for us Claire.Well done! My featured video on YT is Tudor based: "The Denny Monument" at Waltham Abbey. Sir Edward Denny, Margaret Edgecombe and his father, Sir Anthony Denny (King Henry VIII's most trusted friend, were my ancestors. Margaret Edgecombe was a second cousin to Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard.

    Sincerely,

April Denn Bouchard (from Facebook & the Anne Boleyn Files)

  • @cocatwoman7 I will go and watch that now, thank you!

  • Thank you for taking the time to put this together for us Claire.Well done! :)

  • @cocatwoman7 Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

  • unless you were there, you can't know.

  • Most traitors were executed on Tower Hill or Tyburn, but Anne Boleyn, being Queen, and also Catherine Howard, Lady Rochford and Lady Jane Grey were executed within the Tower walls. Catherine's scaffold was on the same spot, and Jane's is described as being near the White Tower too.

It is a shame that they don't take people to the real spot. When someone asked a Yeoman Warder this, he said "You've been reading Alison Weir, haven't you?"!

  • thanks for this ! I have two questions: so why don't they take visitors to the actual spot? and, where all "traitors", incl. Katherine Howard, executed on the spot where Anne died?

  • @TheLeaveTaking I think that as the scaffold memorial dates back to Victorian times (there used to be a plaque instead of the glass memorial) and they've gone to the trouble of making the glass memorial that they have to stick to telling people that it's the spot. Whenever I take a group I always take them on to the parade ground instead.

  • Thank you for this!
