  • You're very cute!

  • Sam, It is great to see you on Youtube! I remember the song "Stay With Me" from one of your first albums. I emulated your voice and sang that song 5000 times. You are a great talent and an inspiration for people in general.

  • I am so glad I re-discovered you after years of not keeping up with your career...Thank You ~YouTube! You are such a fun, wonderful role model for the gay and straight community as well. I look forward to being able to see you preform live one of these days...you're such an amazing talent! And I will try Very hard to do something wonderful for someone every day...your friend & fan, Ralph in Conover, NC

  • Thank u for answering my question. The situation is still a bit rocky. And it's pronounced midnight fantasy btw lol and I actually have another question for ya. How is lizzy caplan? I'm a huge fan and have a huge crush lol just wondering what she's like in real life

  • I don't know who you are, but I like you.

Regarding Prop 8... all I can say is the same thing Martin Luther King once said: The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice. We will overcome.

  • Sam, you look so cute in the goatee! Adorable!

  • Sam,

I agree with you! Prop 8 and other laws like it have to go. I believe that people will soon wake up and realize that this bigotry is wrong.

With regard to the clay: I have worked with clay for about fifteen years. It is surprising how each one is different. They each have their own texture, plasticity, and therefore the chemical composition of each is different! (If you want a clay artist's point of view! If not, I am sorry! I guess I take clay very seriously!)

    Love you, lots!

    Mary Beth

  • ok Laffin my ass off on the clay stuff

  • mckinseysmomma, last I knew, Mormon was a religion. A religion that went out of their way, out of state, using illegal tactics to sway votes to their religious beliefs. Regardless, any proposition based on a religious belief should not be on a voting ballot.

  • What Mormons do in the privacy of their own home has no interest to us. As long as they are consenting adults. Mormons have the right to get married, just like every other human in the country. If a Mormon is a tax paying American, then, who they marry has no affect on my marriage. Therefore, if Mormons are in love, they should go for it.

    Sam' web guy

  • PS: Being Mormon is a choice.

  • You are not only talented but extremely bright and glowing.....may your life be full of glorious celebrations.

  • I wanna meet with you in person someday.

  • Sam, you are such a bright light. Even though I don't know you personally, you make me smile and bring me hope and that is something truly amazing. You're so informative and well-spoken. Thank you!

  • "Anyone who doesn't understand the larger picture of where I'd like to see the human race evolve." - Yes! Was discussing this with a co-worker last week! How it's hard to understand how so many people walk around with so much hate in their hearts...they walk around thinking, "Hate, hate, hate, hate, breathe...hate, hate, hate, spew, hate, breathe...don't forget to be a giant hypocrite..."

  • You offer great words of wisdom from your "Ask Sam" segment. You are giving positive feedback and I really appreciate it. Thank you.

  • Well, if you meet one of these 'little green men' and seems to be lost, tell him to run and warn the galaxy a race of wasteful hateful beings (and explain what wasteful and hateful means) and to alert any other beings that not contacted this race called 'humans' for quite a few centuries. Otherwise they might plague their existence also.(smiles)

  • That "clay" explanation was the one of the funniest bits you've done.

  • 100% You are on the way!!!!

  • Sam:

Please make a statement on the "powdering" that happened at the Mormon Temple. We are being called "gay terrorists" by larger media outlets. Our response should be that we DO NOT support this type of action. No one deserves to be scared by suspicious powder, its beneath us and likely was NOT one of us... only time will tell. But lets not turn the incident into speculation of who might have been behind it... that will only cause more anger. They'll listen to you Sam.

    Ms. LaReina

  • I've been knocked down because of the passage of Prop 8. I haven't fully recovered. I am starting to get back to what I was doing before the vote but it's really difficult.

Keep fighting. This Constitutional Amendment must not become law.

  • You are an awesome person!

    Love your answers!

    :D

  • as always your thaughts are very reasonable! :) Thank you for posting another "ask Sam Harris" :)

  • Very informative.

  • Yay! Gotta love the Ask Sam Vlogs. Thanks for taking the time Sam. x

  • W00T ELTON JOHN!!!:P love ya Sam!

  • If we don't live in CA, what can we do to help overturn Prop 8.I really want to help, but don't know where to start.XOXO

  • Just keep talking about it. Maybe donate to a cause that will help advance gay rights in California.

  • You said it perfectly: "There should be more cowbell in everything".

The answer to the question "How much is too much?"

    is...

"I'm telling you, your going to need more cowbell!"

    Peace Sam

  • Hey Sam,

Have you seen Keith Olbermann's comment on Prop 8?

It made me cry, beautifully put. Everyone should watch it, straight, gay, whatever you are (I take gay tho ;).

    M.

  • dang man, you look like you on something good. rofl. u been up too long.

But I'm glad to see ya!

  • Great to have an Ask Sam.

Not like you have been busy or anything. : )

  • Your positive attitude is infectious - Peace. We will win this battle.

  • Interesting! Peace!

  • I've missed Ask Sam. It always feels like a satisfying sit-down, and it leaves me with good stuff to mull over ... except the clay mineral thing .... I'm letting that one wash over me.

  • ok I had a good giggle at your first response about Clay! I agree that he had to do it in his own time. I feel like it wasn't anyone's business but his. Although, because of his son I'm glad he did because I know stuff not public that if he hadn't it could have been revealed to try and hurt him sometime down the road. He needed to do it his own way. I'm happy he did.

Your funny side has come back and I love it!

  • Dury juty? that was a good slip ;)

  • I wanna thank you for your openness of coming out and explaining that loved ones don't always come around right away and not to expect it will be instant etc.

Since I posted a reply to Chris Crocker in regards to Prop 8 I have had a lot of young gay men contact me and thank me for my support. I even had a few ask for suggestions about coming out etc. I will definately point them here.

btw you are sexy with the gotee!

    Peace and love,

    Jeanne

  • I am with you Sam, truth and change does not happen over night. It took me 24 years to have the courage to come out to my family. It took some people a while to understand it. Turth is, I was lucky enough to have a mother who celebrated my truth the moment I told her.

Here is my advice for geese23: When you finally have the courage to come out, it helps to have an established support system that will have your back at every moment. It would have been easier for me had I had this.
