  • its harder for men :( Girls have foundation lolz

  • Once at school we were doing this class activity thing and okay, so I ended up with someone I liked in my group and stuff so I had to present a question and I don't know what the HELL happened but like I looked at him and he looked like right in to my eyes and I blushed HARD. Like CRAZY. They thought I was sick and so I went and I felt horrible, and now it's been a long time and I can't even talk to him :((( I feel so GUILTY but so SCARED HELP!!!!!!!

  • Seems like not too many guys blush. I'm a guy and I blush all the time I hate it I can't talk to girls I can't answer questions in class I want to do all of it but i don't wanna blush so I hold back I hate it do much!

  • someone told me i looked like a demon the other day because i was blushing so hard. i hate getting in front of people and every little thing i do i blush. it sucks.

  • it is ruining my life.

  • ok im a lil 12 year old dick well i used the word dick sory my god let me tell you wat happen today in my art class i turned red cuz my teacher said that i like this girl and i did not at all so a Tip is smile talck and dont move your boody 2 much u will turned more red so i ust smiled and i was better then 1 dick

  • My life sucks because of this im 14

  • Ugh I blush at every single little thing ! D:<

  • what if you play a big flippin instrument.... and this snobby girl is telling you next to you, "you can breathe you know~"

  • i blush at the most unfitting times...

  • i don't ever blush, but i'm worried about it, my face sometime goes numb if i ever go to sleep somewere for less than an hour,do i have bad circulation? cause it happens when i sit down and when my arms are in certain positions, i'm only 15 and i'm terrified that my blood does'nt move fast enough.

  • i use to never blush until i got to like 6 or 7th grade..then i realised my face would turn so fucking red then i would turn more fucking red and thats pretty much how my life got ruined.

  • @skitttchy thanks bro appreciate the tip!

  • @Sylar1282 I no that feeling too, pritty shitty isnt it.

  • I don't understand it but I blush even when I'm NOT embarrassed, and its my whole face! It sucks and it makes it worse when people ask, "oh why are you blushing?" I wish there was a way to stop it cuz its ruining my life lol

  • the human brain is too complicated id prefer to be a cat lol

  • Some people can be so unempathic . They don't know how excruciating bushing is for us.

    We deserve better.

  • @Olixennon What you said is so right. People who don't blush take that for granted, and don't put themselves in our places. There are even people who point it out and laugh. We do deserve better.

  • I'm a 17 year old guy that blushes ALL the time. It's really frustrating and is making me more antisocial since I always worry that my face is going to turn beet red. This seriously seems to never happen to other people, particularly guys.

  • @Sylar1282 I'm also a guy, and I've been in the same situation since I was little. There are people who say it's evolutionary, but it serves no positive purpose now obviously. All it does is limit people.

  • @Sylar1282 no you're wrong on that im actually a guy with you're age and i have that same problem which is frustrating to me because i cant get my self to talk to girls

  • Another good way is when you feel like the blush coming on, don't be self conscious and make it worse... focus on the person that is talking and the blush will die down before it gets out of hand. The trick is to focus outward, not inward. It might trite or obvious but that's what it takes.

  • A book on The Royal Jewels in the left corner, lolol! ^_^ but yes this video is very true.

  • I cured myself of blushing years ago, it's actually v simple. You have to learn to accept blushing. You are exaggerating the fear, it really isn't that bad. You just need to let it run it's course & ignore it, then concentrate on the conversation now in this instant and act as if you are not blushing, just let it be. It does take practice & you may still blush sometimes, it's a good chance to practice being ok with it. If you ignore it and act confident, others won't notice it as much either.

  • U r faget kas u bluch hahaha

  • Im also a blusher...oh I wish I could stop this, now only it start when im 21 years old..Im 1 year sufferer now, It ruled my life and most of the time it makes me feel sad..

  • I hope hypnosis works, if yes i will do it, why not?

I want stop to be innatural

  • omg reading these comments just made me really happy because now i know i'm not the only one!!!! ugh blushing has really gotten to me because it ruined all my self esteem! i used to be so outgoing before i started blushing nd now i'm like super shy nd i tend to avoid socializing as much as i can. as many of you've said, i'd be okay with just my cheeks getting red but my whole FACE goes red nd i feel the heat all over my face and people go "HAHAH you're blushing!" nd i start blushing even more :(

  • @lianaaaaa DUDE omg same!!! talk about wanting go hide under a rock!!!! T.T

  • omg!!!! ugh i get red somtimez and itz so embarssin cuz everonez like "omg look at her shes hella red!!!" hahaha itz awful and i cant laugh as hard as i want cuz i get all red! like hella red! itz awful and everyone pointz it out! i hate it so much and i wanna be an actress no one iz gpnna hire spmeone who iz all tomato face 4 no reason! i cant help it. and my bff blushes 2 but like nothin conpared 2 me

  • I would be perfectly fine if i never blushed again.

  • theres this kid that i like and everytime i see him i blush! then he writes me on fb and hes like, "blusher". OMG i just seriously cant controll it. and i know when im blushing, cause i can feel it. and then one time i walked into the wrong class and guess what? HE WAS IN THAT CLASS! and i totally like blacked out. (not really) but i didnt even know what to do. and then after that,(my friends were in that class too) everyone was like,"your face was soo red"! i felt like running home! D:

  • @Krissy07Missy

The same thing happened to me

    lol but whatever

  • I really hate my face going all red all the time! i can't laugh at jokes properly because all i think is "ohno ohno my face is going to go all red". Talking to the person i like makes my face go red too! Even talking to my friends my face goes red! And its not just red, its VERY RED! I'm so fed up! Espacially when i have Physical Education tests for jogging, my face is full-fledged RED like a tomato. I want to hide my face and avoid eye contact when someone just says "wow..your face is so..red"

  • @XAnimesisterX omigosh!!!!! i know!!!! ah i absolutly hate it! I only blush really after pe its like super red!! Also when i get called on unexpectedly, especially in spanish when we have to go infront of the class and present like once a month. ahhhhhhhhh just thoes and sometimes when im infront of alot of people. its kinda weird cause its just certain times or places. im not really shy but i have slowly become shy because of blushing. i just started blushing this last year. my face has always

  • @toxicwaffles17 @XAnimesisterX gone red after pe

  • people you got any like advice? this problem ruining my life! i see all of my friends, they can do anything and their face stays perfectly the same color, they dont blush at anything. i wish i blushed slightly, but NO. my face turns as red as an apple! its this year that i wanna stop it but dont know how to. i started blushing since like 2nd grade, but it wa slightly, starting from like 5th grade this shit's gone outa control. i cant take it when my friends just go like "why u so red?' UGH!

  • @lovesyuhhhx3 dude i kno the feelin my reindz do that 2 itz awful! ah! i hate it so much and then i turn redder cuz im so damn annoyed

  • @lovesyuhhhx3

i can understand you. i hope hypnosis is a good method to stop blushing

    We deserve a better life

  • I HATE IT SERIOUSLY ITS SO ANNOYING! i cant be myself cuz my face turns so red and its so embarrassing for real! and i hate people that laugh cuz i just get redder if its possible! i try so hard n it worked for a lil bit until recently i just blush for stupid reasons that arent even embarrassing like just talking to someone.uhhh it just pisses me off i dont even want to do anything

  • IT Made Me Realise That I should Join The Religous Congregation And Get A life u Guys Blushing? I mean Come On

    PS I get it to

  • I can relate to all these post :D such a relief ^^

My friends make fun of me and I get all reddd. Then when they tease me about how I should go out with this one peron..ahhhh.When I laugh sometimes with my friends...epspecially in front of the class and with teachers. I tell my self ," don't blush, don't blush." but i think that makes it worse xP i just wanna hide. My friend look at me like "why the hell is she so red." i like dread school and cashiers aha xP

  • did anyone ever try this out with success?

  • Omg! i go so red, like really red and i can feel heat onto my face when it comes and it just stops you living life as normal! It just holds so much back! I go red all round my face and my face gets completely really hot, id even been to the doctors today.. No help! They said your better on going to a person that can build up your confidence, so i've been lookinng on the internet.. Im sooo glad im not the only person!<3

  • Omg, i just read all of these comments and felt so relieved! I'm not the only one! Hehehehe. You see I'm a big ime blusher, sometimes I don't have a reason to blush and I'll blush- as if it's a hot flush! The most terrible thing is, my BFF finds it hilarious because she never blushes, and so she enjoys pointing it out to everyone- which makes it 100000 times worse! And she's sat there in histerics! I don't know how to, but I need ot get over this blushing crap, heeellllppppp!

  • @iLOVEJEFFandJOHN Oh my gosh!! I'm the same. Sometimes i blush for absolutely no reason, literally, ill just be saitting there, and i just go red, and my friends always point it out :( lol but i tend to try and laugh it off by trying to make myself believe tht they are laughing at somehing else, and it tends to work! But of course, when this boy i fancy sees me or i see him just BLUSH really loadss. But i can't stop it coz i like him too much, its like uncontrollable!! :S lol

  • @PorkyPower100 Hahahaha it's so annoying right!? I felt like such a dickhead the other day because I had to keep getting up from the table when i was eating out with friends, because i could tell i was going to blush! I just can't be bothered to care about it anymore and I really want to just live my life how I want instead of not doing things in fear of blushing! You only get one life, and blushing is reallllllllly holding me back right now!

  • i only turn red when im put on the spot ...so fustrating

  • I blush a lot when guys come up and talk to me. I'm okay if I go up and talk to them, though. and whenever I'm introduced to a guy I blush. It's so embarassing :( but i never ever point out when one of my friends blushes cuz I know that is embarassing when it happens to me!

  • @maddimadmad Well i could talk to guys (: its just the cute ones i have a hard time talking too hehe, its the ones i want to talk too that ughh i cant. Awww hehe well look your advice is pretty good :D just pretend hes just another friend ? (: i know its hard but yeah..

  • @maddimadmad Awww well, i know its really hard and your situtation is not as bad as mine, i cant even make guy friends because i get soooo nervous and my anxiety level is really high :(( Ive messed up alot of guy friendships because they dont understand me and they take me as a b*tch because ofcourse i dont talk much or dont really seem interested, when i really doo :( idkk i cant help but get red when a guy talks too me :(( its horrible :'(

  • @maddimadmad Awwww , and you know what the worse part of it all is that at times you feel sooo lonely. and i think too myself...why cant i be normal?? i wish i could show the world my funny fun side... but thisss really sucksss :( Sooo whats your story??? (:

  • It only happens to meee with cute guys :// you know how bad it is too not be able to make friends with your face getting all red :((!

  • Be the thermostat, not the thermometer.

  • Ughh ever time I talk to a guy I get red every time I talk to a girl that u any no u get red .....fusterating

  • @singingme4774 ur lucky ur a girl bc girls are apose to blush lol its sexyy but a guy blush uhhh itt sucks

  • @sk8rock666 nahhh i get red every time a guy that i dnt know talks too mee !! :(

  • @singingme4774 Me tooo!

  • how doo yuu no that im a gurl!!!

  • i am surprised to see there are mostly women commenting on blushing...I am a 23 yr old male and i think its very embarassing to blush, almost immasculating. I don't know though. When I see someone else blush I don't think any less of them. I don't really consider it a bad or good thing. Just sort of neutral. But the experience of it can be so frightening sometimes.

  • basicly when my mind wanders and sometimes i imagin that idk my crush kissing my i turn a deep red :O

  • Man. How bad does it feel to blush infront of a guy that you think is good looking? It makes me want to crawl in a hole and never come out!

  • I want to know if surgery is a good option for me I hate have my face red all the time please any suggestion???? this is my mail lachicaroja@hotmail.cl any suggestion is welcome thanks.

  • "Expect to be comfortable". Mastering your imagination is the key! Not only to the blushing but to everything you're experiencing in life.

  • i can't remember EVER seeing a GUY blushing.

  • me too -.-

  • @containsmediumpeople mayb but im not scared of ppl i just blush 4 no reason.i guess i just hav fair skin is all.

  • I see a lot more girls here who blush than guys, yet every school I've been too I've never seen a girl blush. Always just me and my brother and a couple guys.

  • Im a really negative person, this is one reason why i blushing will never go away, I dont think anything will work so i think ive got it forever, being negative makes the cycle MUCH worse.

  • Blushing is adorable. :/

  • @acrossthatsky not when its excessive. its humiliating!

  • i blush all the time, even if im not embaressed! even just giving an answer in class or asking a question makes me blush, and wen i blush, its not just my cheeks its my WHOLE DARN FACE!!so i look lik a idiotic tomato and i hate it!

  • ME TOO. my gosh -.- its horrible T_T cus i feel like i can't control it

  • @aja21st You probably have Social Phobia/Social Anxiety disorder, I have it mildly, i Blush at least twice a day.

  • @aja21st OMG that's so damn true that is exactly what happens with me it's fucking annoying my whole face goes red!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i find blushing sexy!

  • has anyone tried anythin that has worked, i tried hypnotherapy and it was useless but the therapist didnt seem to know what he was doin and in fact made worse

  • The way i got over excessive blushing was i said jokes about everything sexual, everthing racist, everything disgusting, when people realise you always make jokes about these gross things it doesnt get awkward. (P.S im not a racist, I live in aus anyway)

  • I could cope if it was just on my cheeks, but unfortunately, I have full-face redness. I just want to die when someone says '...Why are you going red?'. It's SO embarassing.

  • @chrissielovespie l i have the same problem! no one knows how it feels! its my whole face 2 not cheeks! ahhh.

  • @chuchi100293 I know! And then you realise you're blushing and that makes it worse!

  • @chrissielovespie I feel the same way.Its so surreal.

  • @chrissielovespie i think im worse cause i blush on my cheaks ,chin, and in the middle of my eyebrows...i look like a fucking idiot...and the i bloat...like a frog...hahahha lol

  • @WildDiscoDance LOL, i get it aswell but this comment was sooo funny!

  • @chrissielovespie Well, I have only cheek redness, It makes you look so stupid. I don't know why but I'd much rather have full face redness. On cheeks, I know it sounds silly but, people notice it more.

  • @chrissielovespie I know exactly how you feel!!!!

  • @chrissielovespie for real bro i hate when that happens.like #1 thing i hate

  • @chrissielovespie try full upper body redness :( it affects my neck, chest, and arms..

  • @chrissielovespie i only blush at lunch time even on my scalp lol

  • i have it also, and like you guyes said, not just my cheeks, but my whole face! and i can't deal with a normal situation without thinking: 'omg, don't get red now!" and those are just thought, but because of these thought, it's getting worse and worse, and other people probebly don't care so much that you're getting red, but for myself; i hate it and i want it to go away!!

  • i blush all the time. its terrible and annoying. i blush around the same people a lot and any little thing will make me blush that most other people will never blush at. it is so frickin annoyingg.):

  • all what you said is so true but the big question is how much does it cost?

  • on christmas eve at my job we were all exchanging presents for chris cringle. One by one everyone opened their presents without a problem but when it came to my turn, as usual i turned blood red all over my face. And that is just one of my everyday when i turned red stories.

  • omg you sound just like me, but im a guy! girls suit it not guys

  • @containsmediumpeople .. not true! im a girl and i think its cute when guys blush :)

  • @luvmybffs101 yea but i dont blush in situations were it would be cute.

  • I have this problem too. It is not just the cheeks, that would be tolerable, but my entire face goes a flame. The unpredictability is what's most frustrating. Sometimes i can handle certain situations calmly, other times not. This makes interviews a nightmare, but what can I do? Cope graciously.

  • same here, it's not just my cheeks but my whole face so its even more obvious...i hate it.

  • yeah i know what you mean, i was asked to give a talk in church the other day, in front of like atleast 100 people my age, im 24, the whole time i was thinking dont blush, dont blush, i was blushing while i was sitting in the sear waiting to go up and give my talk, once i got up there my blushing wwent away and i gave the talk perfectly fine, i dont understand it, then later in class of like 10 ppl i blushed for no reason.

  • Same here. I blush all the time. The more I think about it, the more likely it will happen again. Also i swet alot. As soon as there is a stressful situation, I begin to swet like an idiot. That leads to stinking. That makes me blush even more because I feel ashamed. This leads to even more stress, and so on and on and on. I know this is not normal and to be honest sometimes I'm really sick of it. I just want to be self confident and enjoy daily life. Unfortunately that's not possible for me...

  • I hate blushing so bad because it's not only my face but the blotches on my neck are like clusters of Islands. Im done wearing turtle necks even in summer. My god this disease has taken over my life. I have been on Xanax to calm me down, i have been on Inderal to stop the adrenalin. Bad idea cause the memory loss was severe. Im done with the tears and suffering and pulling away from some great opportunities in my life im glad im taking this step to see someone.

  • hey i just wanted to say i have seen an NLP hypnotherapist and he really helped me- not so much with the blushing but in greatly improving my sense of self worth and confidence. i think the blushing will go in time as its better than it ever has been. i decided to make a free site (the link is in my channel) with some of the techniques and tips i used to keep it under control. my site is pretty new though so i would really appreciate some feedback if anyone is interested in it :)

  • that is exactly wat happends to me. when im sitting next to some one i think to myself ugh im going to turn really red and then i do. i hate it!

  • I blush really bad, all the time with anything.

  • yh im weird when playing cricket or football i can perform infront of 100s of people but when it comeds to giving a speech infront of id say just more than 20 people il blush and it pisses me off

  • this guys right.. everytime i blush i think about it before i do. i worry that im blushing

  • wow. same here

  • I have the same problem, while I'm singing in choir I always put the feeling of turning red and I begin to blush,I have also blush when I feel I was talk too loud or even answer a question in class. I hope I can get over it

  • Do black people blush?

  • You say that as if they aren't human.

  • yeah but you cant see it.

  • we get the feelings that come with blushing but obviously our skin's too dark to see it. We are human beings lol

  • Ignore that guys ignorant comment.

  • @rompeligas2234

Of course they do, it's just harder to see because of their skin tone.

  • i have had this problem all my life - i'd rather not tell my age- it has been severe and has effected me every day- this is something new i will try-

i was so desperate i finally chose the ets operation-flew to florida from ct. - $10,000 and 3yrs later it did absolutely nothing for me but give some other issues to deal with on top of the severe blushing i already have - don't do it - most doctors will no longer do this operation for blushing because it simply does not work-for sweating maybe

  • Yeah I totally agree with you tapplastic! It's so annoying because nobody knows about it, this problem isn't something you hear about. When I tell people about it, no one gets it, they think it's cute, it's not. I understand that people who have no idea what it feels like, have no clue how badly this can affect people like us. I wish there were a cure for this

  • I told my Dr about the problem he just laughed in my face told me not to be so stupid and said there was no such thing as ETS and that I had to stop looking at the net for medical solutions. I don't think he realizes severe blushing for no reason exists. If you have never suffered from it you can't say pull yourself together you don't know what your talking about. It's the most dreadful problem and makes you almost suicidal.

  • @TAPlastic WOW your doctor called you stupid? That already shows lack of respect for his profession and for you.

  • lol omg, i dont feel so alone now

cause i blush easily too, and i see everyone down VVV does too

a simple question from a teacher or friend can cause me to blush

and dont even get me started on presentations o.o

    interviews.. small talk .. :o

  • I'm 15

I'm usually really quiet in class so when ever a teacher talks to me or asks me a question that I don't know how to answer I blush loads as if I have a huge crush on them!

    Not. Good.

And I'm not the kind of person who will show that they feel embarrassed if I stumble or trip over in front of a load of people at school. I would pretend to laugh as if I find it funny too but my stupid blushing cheeks completely contradict that!

  • @Presslynn hahah same problem.

  • i'm the same. i'm pretty sure every teacher i've ever encountered must think i have a huge crush on them because i blush so damn often.

  • lol me to when im in school i have this teacher that makes me nervous so when she comes around me i turn red and then she points it out and it makes me more embaresssed so when she comes around me in school i try to just avoid her she must think i like her or something lol

  • thoes the blusshing go away ? or is it perm for life ..some persons didn't blush when they were younger ..but blushing now ..how is it possible ?

  • Mines happen every single day it sucks like hell havin this ruin ur life like that i would blush for no reason sometimes like waitin on a line in da super market i would panic nd just blush out of no where -_-

  • i perfectly fine when it comes to strangers and people....just for some crazy reason, when a teacher just asks a simple question, i start feeling that i am blushing and also when they comment me...ONLY TEACHERS!!

  • u want to please the teachers. U don't want to be judged by them negatively. That's my guess. I've dealt with this for 16 years. But the last 2 years I've just accepted it. When someone points and laughs "ur blushing!!!" i say, "ya my face always goes red." They agree and we move on...... I don't get that (stop watching me feeling) cause its out in the clear.

  • hehe thanks for telling me! well i got over that and i am not sure how..but i did :)

  • @Christy3248 I'm EXACTLY the same!

  • @Christy3248 Same!!!

I Blush when I speak in front of the class

  • @Christy3248 i no like wen a teacher randomly calls on u n ur just like oh shit.fucken hate that.i always seem to get red for some reason

  • @rafamadrigal12 yahh thats exactly how it was for me but now im just like screw it i dont care if i blush and ever since i kept thinking that i got over it :)

  • i get it bad, i cant believe that so many people suffer the same thing as me, im not alone!!! i might see my doctor

  • ALSO try niacinamide vitamin b3. It gives you a sense of well being. cool calm and collected. its also binds to a location in the brain similiar to where benzos do. Try it out, it has helped me out alot since i started college. Just be yourself and love yourself. screw what people think of you. this is your life!!

  • what u say at the end is the cure! "Screw what people think of you." When u lose that feeling of being judged, that's when you are free from blushing.

  • If only it was that easy...

  • the key is to accept that you display normal emotions. i know that you begin to form a phobia over it but learn to accept it, it doesn't change who your are. other people cry, sweat, shake, etc. these are our emotions.

  • hey im 13 i blush a lot! like no kidding. i went to a lot of website bt all of them u have to buy and buy and buy i idk how to confinsed my mom to buy it, i just wish they could put it free is sooo annoying!!!!!

  • same here!

  • Hi im 14 and when im at school or talking to a stranger i blush. its mostly in science when im sitting and the teacher asks a question and i think 'Dont ask me' and when she picks me i go bright red and see people looking at me in the corner of my eye and because i forget the question because im to busy thinking about being red i just say 'I dont know' and the teacher sighs and asks someone else. ITS SO ANNOYING HELP!!!

  • Exactly the same thing happens to me, hate it..always ruins my day.

  • same here, i hate it!!!!! when they see me turning red there like, oh hey shes turning red, it gets me even more red lol ahhh

  • The key is to not care what people think. It really is. Im a 28 yr old male and have been over this constant blushing for 2 years now. So now I just blush like any normal human. If something happens to me that's embarrasing, I'll say straight up "oh, how embarrasing" or I'll just say "whew, ur gettin me all hot and bothered." It's the worst to feel a blush coming on and just waiting around worried that someone will say something. So, me making the joke puts me at ease. Give it a try!

  • my gosh me too!

  • it's true, thinking about it makes it worse :(

  • im 14 and i blush constantly. i try to be comfident and sure of myself but when i talk to a cute guy that would never go out with someone like myself i blush. my self comfidense is low and i care way to much about what people think. i have friends that are pretty and can get cute guys but i dont think i can. and when i dont know an answer in class i freak out and wonder if everyones gunna think im dumb. i just started blushing last school year and now that i think about it i cant stop

  • i'm 14, i a a dude tho, when i am close to my freind Codi, a girl, i blush, even if she says hello, when a teahcer calls on me i freak out. HHHELEPEL

  • I read an e-book called the blushers manual. A very eye opening book. Learned me a lot from that, it even takes up a little about hypnosis. Also where to buy medicine and other stuff. Lots of different methods. All people are not the same so find your way that works for you. Good luck all!

  • Thanks alot, yeah i researched beta blockers a good deal and understand the side effects. It is less normal to see major side effects while taking a low dose but then again everyone is different and reacts to drugs in different ways. Plus introducing new chemicals to your body sometimes takes time to get used to and side effects subside. As well this is NOT a permanent cure like hypnosis can be. I am very uneducated in hypnosis but i know it works for some people and others not.Good luck to you!

  • READ THIS - Beta Blockers - Thanks for your post but I had to post a reply asap.

I am not personally a fan of the idea of taking ANY drugs to stop blushing, be they SSRI or Beta Blockers. ALWAYS consult your doctor! Common side effects of regular use of Beta Blockers include sleep disturbance, nightmares, cold hands and feet and tiredness. There are a host of less common side effects, please to do a thorough search on Google with reputable medical websites to check for yourself. Best Wishes :-)

.... symptoms of anxiety. It actually stops you from gong into the flight or fight response. (heart beating really fast) red face etc. They are called Beta Blockers and i take Propranalol. normally take it an hour before a stressed event that you would normally be anxious about. It blocks your fear response and i do not blush what so over. 20 mg to 40 mg are best for this. But def look into them. ask your doctor. I hope this helps somebody in denial!thanks

  • Read this, post 1.

I take propananol 1 hour before a soial situation like a meeting at work, sometimes with diazepam, 5 to 10 mg or more... other wiise i will blush, and it can get worse, so i would be more aware, and my face starts to sweat. I have astma so the beta blocker is not the best drug. I'm considering having ETS done. I looked into it 2 years ago, and am now considering having it again, as my job will invole more of these stressfull social events.

Alright so now that you know this is an adrenal/nervous system response and not a serotonin issue you can drop the thought of SSRIS and Depression medicines. Thank you! ha Moving on i finally discovered the CURE TO BLUSHING! and it's used by actors and musicians to stop the physical signs of being nervous or fear. It's actually a medicine used to lower blood pressure for people with high blood pressure. But in small doses it's great for physical .....

After all these years I've researched around forums on medications to help blushing and with social anxiety that has been brought on by blushing. Many people look to SSRI's and Depression medicines. I'm sorry but im a really positive person despite my blushing. If blushing is your problem and holding back your positive attitude like mine especially with socializing with friends and all that good stuff than don't go with SSRIS! u don't have a seratonin issu

I've suffered from bad flushing/blushing episodes many years. It has alot to do with the adrenal system and your nervous system. When your anxious about something those visible signs of your anxiety show: red face, racing heart, shaky hands, sweating, etc.

This can cause a sort of social anxiety for people when there visible signs of being anxious show. I know i have experienced intense blushing where your face feels like its on fire. HATE THAT. read second post

  • im a light skinned black guy and i blush all the time. i think im the only black person on the planet that blushes...it sucks

  • ThatGuyTooHigh,

i know Black people who blush...it just doeznt show up as easily the darker your skin iz.

i'm not black but i'm of mixed racez and i'm light with brown hair so most people think i'm white, and when racial issuez come up in a conversation my face turnz red cuz i'm afraid that my face will turn red and people will think i'm a white racist.

  • damn..i guess its good to know I'm not the only one I guess

  • I go red at every possible situation. E.g, talking with people, doing presantations at school. Things like that. It kills you when you feel your heart beating so fast, and you feel your face is on fire. :(

  • I've searched for medications in the past, thinking I had a bad case of Rosascea or something, but found nothing...

  • Is there any medication for this? I have had this ailment for my entire life and I'm now 26. I blush in almost every social situation I encounter with more than 1 person. I am generally antisocial by nature, but in the work place and out in public I avoid so many possible social encounters do to my fear of turning bright red, it looks ridiculous, but I'm starting to think this problem has severely affected my overall character development into something I'm not happy with :(

  • i am going through the very same situation. it started about 2 years ago. it has made me very self-conscious. it's generally worse when i'm around people i know. i'm trying hard on boosting my self esteem, and it seems to work in some cases.

  • i wish i were black thn i wudnt worry about this

  • I despise blushing so much I don't even know where to start. For me, blushing is not the issue per se, it's the IDIOT who will point and go "Oh! Look at how red he's getting!" and then get others to look. Really? Is that necessary?

I hope if any non-blushers are reading this that you bear what I wrote in mind. It's NOT helpful to point it out and laugh in a person's face when they're going through this.

  • I know exactly how u feel. Every single time I blush, someone always feels the need to say it out loud. "hey u'r really red"! which makes everyone else notice it too, which makes it even worse for me. and the thing with me is that I blush on my chest instead of my face and once it starts it doesn't go away till like 20 minutes later. It's horrible, I wish there was a pill for it or something

  • LOL I had to learn that the hard way. My boyfriend is a blusher and I always thought it was so cute when he'd blush so I told him so one time, which made him hide in the closet until I begged and begged him to come out.

Don't point it out, folks! It just pisses them off!

  • I've actually had some success with this in the last two weeks or so. I've been using a book written by Forbes Robbins Blair and it's called "Instant Self-Hypnosis." I used the book to come up with a custom script for stopping blushing and increasing confidence. I recorded it into a dictaphone and have been listening to it daily. There have been at least 5 instances at work where normally I'd blush - right now? Nothing! No reaction at all. I'm very optimistic - cautiously so, but still... :-)
