When you're depressed, sometimes you need to get all the tears out of you in order to feel better. Elliotts music helps me cry it out and understand why I'm sad.

He was brilliant and he didn't actually feel himself to be a sad sack. All of us have some sadness and that is why it is so easy for so many to relate to Elliott and his music. He sang about the way many of us naturally feel but nobody talks about. It is beautiful. His music is no more messed up and being alive.
