Dude the majority of Korean songs are ballads. Most Korean artists are actually ballad singers, but usually pop singers get the most attention because they're pretty and can dance well. Not saying BoA or other pop singers aren't talented, but some Korean artists like Cha Soo Kyung and Big Mama have ranges and vocals up there with Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, but they are not publicized enough due to their "unattractiveness". Learn about korean music 1st before saying stuff about it.

yeah there are two types of alphabet. I suggest u attend a japanese course cause its important to know the basic stuff first such as promiuncation and so on. I haven't personally experienced it but this way works the best
