I LOVED Woody Allen's movies, even the more serious ones like "Interiors". But I haven't seen any of his more recent films. Could anyone tell me if they are as good as his older classics? Do they have the same "feel"? Thanks!!! :0)
@SomethingReal1119 His stuff from the 90s is pretty good, but somehow not as loveable as his 70s and 80s movies with Keaton and Farrow. In my opinion, Woody's films from the last ten years or more have been very disappointing, even hits like Vicky, Cristina Barcelona. I still treasure films like Love & Death though.
Good 90s films include Bullets Over Broadway, Husbands & Wives, Everyone Says I Love You and Deconstructing Harry.
WONDERFUL. Thanks soo much for posting these...and they're in such great quality. Woody Allen is a genius, and so is this movie. Can you also, if it isn't too much trouble, post BANANAS and THE PURPLE ROSE OF CAIRO? Thanks.
@AllGhostwritten They're eating blinis or blintze. It's like a pancake. At the beginning of the film, Boris's mother is shown making geometically perfect blinis.
My dear mother had us watch Woody Allen films at a very early age, and I love her for it! My father, on the other hand, hated Woody, calling him a pinko commie. One thing about these so called "pinko commies" is that they are effing entertaining as Hell!!! I mean, "If Jesus Christ was a carpenter, how much does he charge for bookshelves?" Priceless!!!! (I can't wait to say that to a Jesus Freak!)
Lol, Woody Allen cracks me up. You can tell he was comfortable in his own skin. When the seductive woman made love to him, now days it would've had them grunting and moaning but back in these days I guess that wasn't allowed in movies.
"Practise a lot when I'm alone" - My favourite Woody line ever.
