  • What's the cleaner that you use to remove residue? Is it ok to use with water based paints? Thanks.

  • @whitbyjet65 Wax and grease remover and no you do not want to use it on water based paints.

  • You say you are using waterborne Diamont Rm 900? Is that the BASF brand? When I look it up it is saying it is a solvent borne cleaner. Are there any issues wiping down basecoats with solvent borne cleaners before applying another basecoat or clear?

  • @xtremekustomz1 I wipe it down before applying base and yes I wipe it down before clear coat also.Yes it is BASF

  • Nice on the shadows,I was going way to heavy.

  • very nice job on that

  • Is the light blue and grey your using solid colors? Great work by the way, thanks.

  • @ya671u Yes they are.

  • I just recently finished a project and got it clear coated. Afterwards I noticed that there is a light spot on the body paint where the frisket paper was. Should I have cleaned the surface from where the frisket was before I did the clear? Or does it have something to do with putting frisket on metallic paint?

  • @myConcreteCreation Some times it can remove some of the metallic and cause a smear spot.

  • maybe you should make the tear sheet metal much more bigger....

  • @bakulawhuhuhu Or not,It looks great on the truck.

  • I have learnt a lot by seeing ur videos.....great thanks for sharing the techniques.....

  • @MJCustomHYD Your welcome

  • Hey Ed! love your stuff man, I'm opening my own shop soon thanks partial to your videos! Quick question, what is the waterborne cleaner that you use to wipe after using the transfer paper no remove the residue? Thanks Ed, and keep sprayin!

  • I like your artwork:D

  • @91PaulM Thanks

  • What clear did you use on this one ?

  • @dmwin77 House of Kolor

  • Can you use non airbrush paints that are thinned down, it looks like from what we've experimented with that it just gets way to runny

  • @BrOK3nBrZD I personally haven't tryed any thing else.

  • can I do this effect over a newly applied base coat or does the vehicle need to be cleared first then sanded and layed out?Where did you get the waterborne cleaner? I can't seem to find it.great job by the way.thanks

  • @brock007football You can do it right over the base coat. I bought it from Industrial Finishes.

  • What type/brand of water borne cleaner are you using? thanks

  • what kind of cleaner do you use?

  • @chuck2585 Lacquer thinner

  • @edhubbs hopefully he wasn't asking about a cleaner for tape residue!

  • @draward If he was and he used lacquer thinner to remove it he is gonna be really pissed at me.LOL

  • @adiprecu To buy the truck or the paint job? The paint job was $3500.00

  • @edhubbs not a bad take for the job. was probably in the shop for about a week, but how many hours of airbrushing? seems like that could have taken 2 or 3 working days alone.

  • @godofm3tal1 The job took 6 days, probably 2 days longer than it should of because of the videoing also.

  • Badass paint job Ed...

  • @pernoy Thanks man.

  • i forgot my main question, old age i guess, why are the colors so yellow with flash while the others aren't so yellow!

  • @psychodelicdragon Because they are transparent dyes that pick up every all light source.

  • what does this artwork cost on his scale?

    not enuff i'm sure!

do you do little panels for sale, with little dodads on them?

    glad to hear your upscaling!

gonna be nice, plenty for those trophy elk mounts! right!

  • @psychodelicdragon $4,000.00 for this one.

Actually yes there is one for sale on my web site right now and when we get moved in to our new location I am going to sell a lot of the panels that I have done in the youtube video's and every thing hanging on my wall........cheap.

    Not upscaling...down sizing.

7 acres and yes I will be hanging some horns up. My kids are gonna have a blast out there.

  • @Matthew3777 Thank you.

  • Ok everyone asks the obvious questions like what air brush you use or what paint, but I want to know where you buy the 4 oz bottles of talent that you keep hidden in the back of the shop, I would like to get a case or two of it

  • @archer82633 Me to,I want to advance my skills. I want to take a Dru Blair course at some point in life.Check him out on facebook the man is unbelievable.

  • Thats awesome bro, it's amazing how you can take one little area and make it so realistic without be able to see the whole thing. Now thats talent!

  • @WestCoastMods Thank you

  • All right Ed, now you're just flat showing off!! ;) When I first saw the pics of the tears in part one, I thought you were going to show us how to use that chrome paint out there because it was so 'shiney'. Can't believe you got that effect conventionally!! The overall project turned out great. I would hate to pick which one is your best. :)
