@phalluses I posted this video almost 2 years ago and have stopped using latex since. But I believe you go to Document>Settings>Document Class>ams. That should get you your math environments.
Hello capoman1. I have the Lyx editor in Ubuntu 10.4. I would like to make a file in which the text must to be beside the pictures, surounded by the text.
Well I saw that Float Figures could be one good tool for this goal. So I found out what's going on to do it and saw the Lyx tutorial about it, so I do everything it suggest but I don't get it, the file don't compile.

Hi man. Quite impressive the way you illustrate how to edit formulas. However, I need to do some drawings and make some simple circuit designs. Please make another tutorial on how to install and use packages or so-called environments for drawing electrical circuits (paths, i.e. where to put them) .. packages like "tikZ". Thank you in advance.
I can not imagine how slow you could be teaching latex!!! nice and thanks but very slow!

Where do you get all those extra features in the environment box? I am playing with Lyx right now, and I don't have the options for "proof".

you can get the extra environments by changing Document>Settings>Document Class>ams. It's in this video if you watch carefully.
