As far as I understand it, Canadians don't really care about what Quebec has going on. As for the US and Canada merging, there isn't so much to iron out. What I meant was the Canadian and US governments would cease to exist and be replaced by a new one, same system (roughly) but a whole bigger chunk of land under it. You are right, though, about Canada's position in the world. You guys have a LOT of advantages.

As far as I understand it, Canadians don't really care about what Quebec has going on. As for the US and Canada merging, there isn't so much to iron out. Canadians and Americans are very similar in a lot of ways. I don't know how it would happen, but I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to meet in the middle ground on all issues because we are a lot alike.
