There is no definate change in his voice. No change in direction. Yeah, he coulda been tired here but have a look at the gig in the MEN, October 08, and tell me if he's lost his "chirp"

This show is different, it's more somber (though i admit this song isn't preformed the best)

I love the fact that when i listen to DR it's as though he's singing for himself, it's so personal that it seems like he's singing just as he would alone, if that makes any sense?

I disagree - his voice has changed definately, he seems to have lost his chirpy self - his performance is much more mature and serious, but maybe thats the direction that he's decided to take. There's plenty of passion in his act, its just quite a bit different to the normal DR.
