@rapljwop this is interesting, im from germany and "rtl" is the channel in ger where everybody can see f1 for free. i´ve got sky for some weeks now, and im pretty f********(didnt count that stars) happy with it. F1 coverage is so much better there(instead of the german free tv). still a f1 weekend ends for me on tuesday or wendesday, when these ppl upload the bbc footage :D

@haralddash rapljwop wasn't talking about German Sky, he was talking about BSkyB (British Sky). They've outbid BBC for the rights to show F1 next year, so half of the season will be covered by Sky & half will be covered by the BBC.

Not all British homes pay for Sky TV, so the sport is going to lose some of it's support in the UK, plus the coverage from Sky will never match BBC (F1 forum, no ad-breaks, presenters, etc)..
