  • Ah, good old times on the A1200 & this :D

  • PS3 version is awesome. too bad people nowadays a graphic whores and don´t care anymore about gameplay.

  • Sounds like the bonus stage music and sound effects from Project X.

  • Which version do you used to play this game ?

I can't find even one working version.

Is this the WHDLoad Version ?

  • You can't beat chip tunes ;)

  • 0:11 to 0:13 ship is invisible - thank you YouTube for frame rate cropping!

  • PS. Have You seen FORTIS game? Made on MorphOS & for iPod also, quite kewl

  • Fuck me u even get ps3 fanboys on amiga videos.FUCK OFF!

  • @71JOEBLOGGS Karma isn't it?

Something coming back round from all the Amiga fanboys trawling atari videos LOL

  • big box little box big box little box

  • really???ps3 is produced 2006/07,amiga 1200, 1992!!!i didn't know there were ps3 have better version in terms of graphics, sound and generally presentation!!very interesting comparing.

  • @TheElvir1979 For whom was your comment directed at?. I see no-one making comparisons unless of course the comment was removed?.

  • Ahh, this was a great game and Super Stardust HD on the PS3 is a worthy successor.

Personally I liked the music from the original Stardust better than Super Stardust, but the music in the PS3 version is great too.

  • You can get this music on the PS3 version. It comes with one of the upgrade packs which is really great :)

  • Well, it IS the same music, but it's not the original music. It's been remastered into proper stereo (as opposed to Amiga stereo), but it retains the original theme and instruments used, just in modern 16/24-bit versions instead of the 8-bit originals.

What's particularly cool is that the boss music for each stage is different, unlike the original SSDHD soundtrack which only has one piece of music for the boss shared across all levels.

  • DOOOO

died just before the extra life! ROFL

You know you can actually let those wasted weapon upgrades turn into shield energy if you wait... noob...

  • u mad?

  • man I used to love playing this game! the graphics and music are still awesome! :)

  • visually stunning in its day - still looks great even now. Great music - great gameplay and still the best asteroid clone / variation to date.

  • @kalsolarUK I've seen better clones than this, for instance the coin-op version by Atarigames from 1987 called Blasteroids is far more variable than this...

  • @maiki60fps I never saw the coin-op blasteroids - but I wasn't overly impressed with its amiga conversion.

  • you were shooting in time to the music at the start! I used to be memorized by this game when I was young...

  • great!

  • where do i download this game

  • If you are asking that, you won't even be able to start it. Get yourself Amiga Classix 4 compilation, it contains the game prepackaged with emulator, configuration and system roms, and will save you lots of trouble.

  • makes also fun with the crimewatch or prodigy trainer.

  • super stardust hd is the future lol!!!

  • love this game, even today I occasionally play it.

  • THx for the video! I always wanted how is the gameplay
