I was speaking in terms of any movie director. This movie was just garbage. There was nothing creative about this whole movie. I basically meant that any movie maker can turn heads by throwing in scenes in which guns are pointed at babies, and people being decapitated. This is the most trashy movie since Silent Night Deadly Night.

I admit I am not a big horror movie fan, but when I think about a storyline, it's either a huge twist at the end in which everything is explained or their is still no explanation what so ever in which its mysterious and more scary. Regardless if there is no explanation at the moment, it makes it scarier. Hills Have Eyes is just a lame story of a mutant society from a nuclear blast. The movie wasn't scary, it was just a gore porn. Not to mention the whole direction and action sequences sucked.

You make some great points, however has a person who judges movies, Hills Have Eyes is not a horror movie to me. Hills Have Eyes is what I call an exploitation film. Sure there was gore, but they sacrificed everything else that involved quality for the sake of making a gore like film. Again you have more ground because you like horror movies, but from my view, and someone who also watched horror movies, this movie lacked quality.

I like how he describes the twist in Traveler as a "great big surprise". Whoever was in charge of its promotion kind of made sure to reveal this "big surprise" during every trailer for the show, and also made sure to run said trailer so often that one could recite its lines with great amusement.
