  • This infectious song was a hit when my mum was on a working holiday in New Zealand. She turned 21 that year. Some great music came out in that era.

  • I'm a Heather too. Mom was going to name me Heather Honey, but she figured she would let my older sister pick my middle name. She picked Roxanne. So what song does 'The Police' come out with when I'm a teenager? "Roxanne", so I still got picked on!

  • I'm a Heather too. I was born in 1972. My mother loved Tommy Roe! Good thing she chose Heather cause she also liked Rod Stewart at the same time. I would hate to think what name she would have picked.

  • Thanks to this song, there are a flood of us Heathers...I nearly had the middle name of Honey. However, my parents chose Michelle...another name flooded during that time LOL born in 76

  • I'm a Heather too(1974). My Mom and Dad loved to play the album this song is from for me all the time as a kid. I loved to hear the scratch of the vinyl when the needle hit it and then the album would play. I found it funny that the post date under HeatherHoney57 just happens to be my sons birthday(5/2). Thanks for taking me down memory lane.

  • I was born in 1971 and was named after this song.

  • my name is heather, and my husband of 36 years this year always loved this song.... he said it was made for me...lol

  • My precious grandmother, Nana, played this for me on a console tv/radio/phonograph player when I was little and I danced. It is my favorite childhood memory. I am Heather Maliah, born 7/14/68, and Nana is 83 now and wonderful as ever. Love you Nana! Your Heather Honey. :-)

  • I was born in 1969, actually at the same time this song peaked on the chart. It was the follow up to the massive hit "DIzzy", which is just a phenomenal song. I discovered Tommy Roe when I was about 11 since I had a love for pure pop music, and his songs fit that bill to the letter. This song only peaked at # 29, I think, so it was not a big hit at all but it fit the extremely successful formula of his hits of the late 60s.

  • My name is Heather and I've always had a love hate relationship with it becuase there were 4 Heathers in my graduating class. I had never heard or knew anything about this song until my Physical Therapist kept telling me about it so I googled it lol.!
