  • Maude had a completely different body than Dorothy on Golden Girls. Bea Arthur decided to lose weight around 1980 and she never gained any of it back.

  • Who is the "Kunkle" referred to in the newspaper she's holding?

  • there was an intro where she is spraying something onto something...

  • I remember when Maude was introduced as a character on "All In the Family". Then it became a highly successful series. But by the fourth season it began losing steam and ended two years later. A funny show from the 70s but now just a fond memory for those of us old enough to recall.

  • After Maude left the air, the set was used as the dormatory for the Facts of Life!

  • @dav1237 That's really interesting! Thanks for the info.

  • @DorisDayFanatic No prob. l love Doris Day too, by the way! Do you have the DVDs of her sitcom?

  • @dav1237 I only own the second season! I do love it, though!

  • Wow, I never knew that J. Pat O'Malley ever made it into the opening credits! I was born in 1977, so I didn't get to see it during its original run. I first saw reruns of "Maude" in 1990.

  • @snoopy64116 I wished both the boys that played Carol's son, Phillip, Brian Morrison (1922-77) and Kraig Metzinger (1977-78) had gotten into the opening credits as well. The Phillip character was a minor one, but did play a major part in some of the episodes (My most memorable Brian Morrison episode was when he and Maude was making a model of the Mayflower and Maude spanked him, my Kraig Metzinger favorite was when he had the house party).
