While sobriety is used in relation to alcohol and the likes, the meaning here may be better appreciated from its use in traffic advisories. “Drive Sober” sign reminds the motorists to use self control and it is this practice of self control that this song refers to by ‘sobriety’.

Here's my take on the meanings, and I can be very wrong.

The song is about a person who, after somehow losing her true love due probably to socio-economic challenges (chaste ..), finds herself in a situation / relationship she wishes she was strong enough to escape from. She wishes for divine shoes that would drive all the problems away.
