i just started competitive about a month ago , and all i need for level 5 is this . I only have a month and a half to learn it , i want it REALLY bad . I do 30 minutes of excersicing for a kip every day plus my normal training . Im getting alot closer , but need it still !
@gemdiva2016 I ended up having to quit gym and wasnt able to compete provincial at my other gym because I joined too late. But yes, I did get it almost a year ago! :)
i was exactly like you i just got my kip. it helps not to hit the floor with your feet and extend and the end and when your legs hit the bar or touch it lift your legs up to your theighs. and it will bring you up!
well try to almost hit then bring em up quick! cuz if ur in lvl 5 and u have to hit the ground thats 5 tenths off! so if you have a 9.5 you'll get a 9.0 so try to do what i told you and if that doesnt help ill tell you another one!
seriously, my girls have been working on kips for like two years... they just CANT get it. And I know how to coach a kip.. they just don't get the feel
Sorry but if it's literally been two years maybe you need to find some new coaching methods/drills/conditioning, because if you knew how to coach a kip after two years they would have it.
I'm in level 5 and haven't got my kip yet....

ive tried that but personally i have to hit the ground or "tap" in order to get up. im almost there!!!

Extend more in her glide swing and make sure she pulls with both arms at the same time. But thats about it great job!

she needs to stretch out and not pike so much on the outward swing so she has time to snap her toes back to the bar and shoot them straight up.

no not necessarily. it took me almost two years to get mine and i had a very good coach i just couldn't get the right timing.
