i have a question I was wondering if you can answer, I just bought a glock 21 .45 acp and I only have cheap tula steel cased ammo for the moment to go shoot in the woods, but I do have it ready as home defense until I get hollow points. my question is until I get .45 hollows should I only use my 9mm hollow points that shouldn't go through walls or anything. I just don't want to kill a neighbor if somehthing happens and I miss. i fear the cheap ammo might even go straight thru someone or walls
In 1987 my first gun was a Taurus pt99. Haven't shot it in 15 years. Took it to the range and it shoots like the day I picked it up. Only wish I got the fixed sights.
I traded my Glock 36, 45 cal for a Beretta Px4 45 cal, and the Px4 for me at least, is more accurate, and has less felt recoil. The Glock claims to be safe, search the web for Glock accidents, and you'll think different. I NEVER liked carrying a gun that is 90% cocked. When the Px4 is decocked the firing pin is disengaged and the trigger completely diaengaged. To me the Glock trigger safety is a joke, pull the trigger, the gun goes off. Safe??? Google the web for Glock Ka-boom, then go buy a Px4
@RECONDO101st great weapon for some reason i do better with the earlier version ( Cougar) than the PX4. Rangemaster say's cuz of barrell and me being left handed ???
@jdwood43 I was told the Cougar wasn't a very good weapon. This is my first Beretta, I trained with them in the military but that was some time ago. So far I'm really pleased with it.
MY TYPE OF CONVO HERE...BUT I GOT A QUESTION GUYS, I HAVE 2 COBRA .380'S FOR PERSONAL CARRY (THE FS AND )CA & I LIKE THEM BOTH BUT I WANTED TO UPGRADE TO SOMETHING BIGGER,LIKE 17 MAG & A RAIL FOR A BEAM.I'M STUCK BETWEEN THE PX4 STORM,BERSA THUNDER, OR TAURUS 24/7 EITHER .40 CAL OR .45 DOES'NT MATTER I JUST WANT MORE ROUNDS AND STOPPING POWER ALONG WITH LASER SITE OPTIONS.IM 6'4 190 SO SIZE ISN'T ISSUE, ANY SUGGESTIONS??
@MrDakdolo i think glocks are fantastic. most durable and reliable gun out there. but at the same time outside of extreme conditions and using decent ammo most brand guns should function just fine. my taurus slide tends to not go allthe way forwards though when i cock it sometimes or when I am shooting I have to tap it forward because the recoil spring isn't stiff enough. never happened once with my glock. happens 2 or 3 times at the range every time I go with my taurus.
Not a huge fan of Berreta but that Px4 is an exception to the rule! It is an awesome gun! I have a Walther p99 AS and it is so awesome! I shot a Glock model 19 yesterday and it felt like I was holding a 2x4! It also jammed on me and the mag fell out in mid shot! I use to love the Glock, but when I got my Walther I couldn't ever go back to the Glock! No comparison! But the Beretta px4 is my next gun for sure!
i have a beretta px4 storm in .40 myself. love the weapon. the grip is a bit hefty. one thing i recommend for any user besides shaq is start of with the smallest back strap it has a hefty grip. i started with the largest and my accuracy improved immensely when i switched to the smallest strap. i've fired well over 300 rounds through my px4 now without a single hint of malfunction. couldn't be happier with the pistol.
FYI the Px4 was the only firearm in it's class that passed all of SOCOM's rigorous testing requirements. Unfortunately, the different branches couldn't agree on what they wanted so it was never approved for troop issue.
i was going to buy the glock 23 gen 4 9mm, but then my direction got drawn quickly to the PX4 storm compact, and I went with the storm and I love it!, wasnt sure how I would feel about the compact but after having it I love it and I am glad that i decided to go with it over the glock
Hey JD. I am trying to finalize which gun as my Conceal Carry .45acp. I can't seem to make the glocks fit. Haven't tried the GL36 but don't relish the thought of a 7 rd mag. The GL21SF seems to fit my hand better than the GL30SF(??) I have taken my 1911 A1's & replaced the arched Main Spring Housings with the flat MSHs plus Hogue rubber grip pads & it is an exceptional difference. So, do you have any opinion for someone with medium sized hands & which GL.45 to go with?THX. Sincerely, JAMES.
haha the quote from True Grit at the end was priceless...nice review im interested in all 3 of these..so i guess it will come down to which one feels natural
good analogy, seeing as Taurus got their start through Beretta. i.Have owned 3 Taurus Pistols of which one was very good the .45acp 1911 AR. oh, just got a tracker .22 9 shot revolver which is a good strong revolver
@jdwood43 yes, I've read reviews on the new Taurus .45 1911 and they are reported to be excellent handguns. Their revolvers are built as strong as tanks and are good shooters. I have a friend that has a .25 auto which has been extremely reliable and accurate for a mouse gun.
@MrBigden37 totally agree have 1911 Taurus AR that is a great pistol.... and they are doing very well in Vegas and other gunshows as far as marketing.
Glocks are great weapons, XDm's, I have no experience with. I've owned a Beretta 92G since 1997. It shoots like the day I bought it, all i've done is change recoil springs and the hammer spring everything else is original. Extremely reliable, very accurate and good looking. Glock has the aethetics of a square box, besides, Beretta passed with flying colors in the US Army trials. I like Beretta for it's safety features over Glock, safety on the trigger? Many many more accidental discharges?
I wouldn't say the px4 storm is trying to mimic the glock. They have quite a few extreme differences. For example: the internal "hammer" and external hammer. They both have polymer frames, which Glock wasn't the first gun to use polymer. H&K was the first one to produce a polymer pistol over 10 years before the first glock. And Remington was the first gun manufacturer to use polymer in any gun, which I think was a rifle. I believe glock was just the first one to mass produce the idea. Good video
@powerman2442 appreciate your comment, i agree the storm is nothing like gock with it's rotating barell is vastly different than the glock. Sringfield XD and put glock on top of each other and it's almost identicle with exception of internal operations , my S&W M&P and Taurus (that I returned ) were similar.
My H&K i put in a seperate catigory did this video two years ago and what surprised me was the lax patent laws on the few that looked and operated almost the the same ? ur thoughts ?
@jdwood43 It's funny you mention that because Glock did take Smith & Wesson to court over the S&W Sigma. They settled out of court for an "undisclosed" amount of money. I think there are certain guns that do look a lot like Glocks. In my opinion it is like the manufacturing of cars. Yes, there are certain cars that operate extremely different then others, but for the most part they all have to same basic elements that make them a car (or in this case a gun).
Yes its interesting to read about Browning, 1911 to Colt etc, also Taurus being fortunate to have an empty Beretta factory in Brazil ables them to almost turn key there operation, thus why you see a similarity to a Taurus and a Beretta, similar only to looks.. to me price, previous history, looks all dont mean anything as how the weapon performs and how well it lasts under it's daily requested functions. Confidence obtained from years of great performance is priceless
I think Taurus semi-autos are some of the most over-rated guns on the planet. The guns are cheap, customer service is nothing but a bunch of Miami crackheads, getting your gun back from them after sending it in to get it fixed is nothing short of a miracle.
i agree as far as 24/7 , experience with their 1911 type pistols sas follows :1 for 2 on them . had the .45acp "hot rod" they called it with all the bells and wistles and you could actually see the metal imperfections in and around chamber and feed ramp 1-800-paper weight. the other one was a PT AR .45acp and was fine but had no confidence and customers service pissed me off. thanks for comment.
@isisncasey Youre right. The fit and finish on the Taurus is cheap. Not made as well as the Glock , Beretta ect. I got the 24/7 pro a few weeks ago. Had a rusted recoil spring and rust in the barrel out of the box. I tried to manually eject the rounds and they got stuck. I cycled the rounds about 50 times, every 2nd or 3rd round got stuck. Called Taurus they told me this was normal and I should shoot it before complaining. I already know I got a jammer. I wont ever buy a taurus again.
I own a glock 21 and I can honestly say that I never had a problem with it jamming or anything else, and as a matter of fact im in the process of changing the trigger pull to 3 1/2 lbs for a better second shot.
@qls777 agree, just got the 21 and have to say with exception of trigger that you are correcting is a well working weapon, since this video i own Glock 20, 21,22.
@jdwood43 the trigger pull on my glock 21 is so smoothe but i really just want to change it just for the hell of it, and the only reason i paid for my glock 21 is because i want to convert it to a .50 cal glock
The mags are factory and the gun is clean. I shoot the Winchester target loads at the range. Cheap stuff but fires well. Another issue I forgot to mention is that when I feed the mag in and bump it in to lock, the slide will move forward and load a round. This bothers me a bit. I'm not sure if I should monkey with the top of the mags to see if I can raise them a bit????
I have the 24/7 Pro in 9mm and 45 acp. I have fired several hundred rounds through both and have not had one jam in either one. I like them both very much. I will say that I can't stand the Heine 8 sights on them and will be chaning them to some brand of 3 dot night sights like I have on my Glock. One issue I do is now, after the last round is fired the action does not always stay open. If I push up on the empty mag the slide will catch and remain open. Mag problem??

@kwsmith34 love my 24/7 pro, really the people that talk bad on them most of them dont and never owned one, i think they shoot great and mak a good looking gun, i agree the only thing i dont like is that damn heine, and any good ideas for replacements, just worried if i replace them it with throw it off??
@jdwood43 I had one in .40 S&W. It worked fine for me. The only two issues I could see with it was the slightly higher bore axis gave a bit of muzzle rise and the slide catch and safety was a bit closer to each other then I would had liked. Trigger was a bit gritty for a few hundred rounds, but got smooth rather fast. Double action trigger is long, but only used for second strike on a bad primmer. I take rack, so I never used the double action unless I went out of my way too.
Taurus PT99 was my first gun back in 87 and thought since it was made on old Beretta machines, it would be good. It has been the worse gun I've ever owned. Jam city, the slide they sent me to replace the old one sucked even worse. I sprayed it down with Breakfree and orange rust colored crap ran out like crazy. No thanks. Just because they made a deal with the movie makers of Max Payne doesn't make Taurus a good gun. There's a good reason no l.e. agencies have contracts with them.
@thatguy66ish ,hey, thanks for input...you and I have had same experience.. but when got gun back from factory they put several parts in backwards....
never fired a full magazine without a jam used several types of ammo and changed mags and could never ever trust a Taurus 24/.7 for this reason. have had better experience with the AR-1911's by Taurus.
@thatguy66ish i own a 24 7 9mm and the only problem i have had is when i first started shooting with limp wrist, not holding the gun firm enough, and the slide not engaging back correctly giving you the stove pipe round where the spent casing gets wedged.
@03trailblazer4x I'd have to shoot a lot of rounds(250 at least) to get confidence back on a gun that jammed. I had a Glock 27 that jammed a lot and finally figured it was a SINGLE mag. Bought some more mags and never had the same problems feeding. Confidence restored! My G26 is a more comfortable shoot for me. I really like that one. Shot an attacking pit bull in the left rear ribcage area and out the right front chest. It stopped walked away and died. Thank God for my cpl.
@SamuriBarney totally untrue for many. People like myself like simplicity. Glocks are very simple. No silly external safties and stupid shit like indicators. I have an M&P now and it is the same way.
@odom311 I know many that rely and trust them as they have performed perfectly for them. Glad you are one of these guys...I just got a lemon.thank you for comment
I have this same gun and not only is it a great bang for the buck but its great period. It comes with all the bells and whistles and built as well as any of the top 1911 builders. Anyone who talks smack on it is because they hear from people who've obv never owned one.I know this because i've owned just about all of em at 1 point or another. Fired 1000 rounds with zero jams and unbelievable accuracy. Great gun and you saved anywhere from 200-1000 bucks for something just as well made as anything
While I have to agree with you about Glocks lets not forget that the Springfield xd is a striker fire and an all around good gun. Post note: The PX4 is one of the best shooting guns I have had the chance to shoot.
Between the two: the Glock is one of the most reliable and easy to maintain, and has the best magazines on the market. Issues w/ the trigger and slide release are easily remedied.
The Beretta is a very good value w/ lots of features - it also boasts the lighter recoil especially in .45 where Beretta's rotating bolt makes it perform like heavier steel.
In .40 it's a toss up, in .45 it has to be the Beretta.
coul'nt of said it better, Taurus returned, factory flaws, the Glocks I own are nice but not big fan of the triggers, think I have 7 Beretta's and everyone has been consistant
@jdwood43 I have a Taurus in .40 caliber that I will put up against any out of box pistol in .40 caliber. Of course it is the PT101 P that is a complete rip off of the Beretta design.
@jdwood43 you can make a glock trigger better very easily.. And there is a reason glock has won over countless law enforcement agencies, though I really wanna try a storm out. Why do you like it over the glock?
Don't forget, this is solely your opinion.Someone else may like the taurus better.Neither one of you are wrong. It's a preference.I'm sure you already know this.
@excelerater thanks for input. Funny , made this video 2 years ago and my preference has come from my experience.Taurus was returned love my M&P an Springfield XD. ;ove my H&K .40 Just ordered .40 cal Beretta 96.Storm excellent quality.
@excelerater hear that a lot this M&P compared to my old Sigma is a vaste improvement., no where near as accurate as my .4006 S&W but then again the retail need , price price ...
@excelerater You need to get a grip ball, and work with it, because I just shot the PX4 .45 Storm today at the range, and all shots were withing 3" at 25yds with the 1st mag! This thing is a tack driver, man.... If you want to talk nasty trigger pull, come shoot my AMT .45 Backup! 12+ lbs! AND, I'm accurate with it to 25yds!!
@democratsrshit A design that the military will not consider. The "1911" will always be the "standard" for semi auto pistols. No serious pistol is copies from the Glock. By the way I do own both and the Glock only works since I customized it. The only ones that try to copy Glock are cheap one like Taurus and wanna be cop guns. Serious ccw holders and military look at designs that have been proven for more than 20 years.
@JohnBruski you obviously have not been paying attention..Any polymer pistol is a copy for the most part.Have you not looked at the Ruger sr9,Taurus g2,smith & wesson m&p,Shit the Sig was the very first to copy the Glock and they admit it.I own a 229 as well as a glock 22.Of coarse the 1911 is the standard..So was a model t Boring...By the way The military does use the Glock and it has been proven for over 25 yrs..I modified my Glock extended mag release and slide lock 3.5 trigger
price comp makes taurus a good choice Using the PT 24/7 pro LS in .40, my first taurus semi, purchased simply because is was a real bargain at $350, and I've become a fan of it's performance.
Take up the trigger travel before squeezing the trigger. Otherwise it will jerk your shots. Glock has no travel without weighting. I own both and the rotating barrel is more accurate and better for follow up shots. Mine is a 45 and my other is a sub 9mm. I own the g21sf and g17 rtf2. If you love the grip the sub is your next buy. You will be addicted.
@retthok Browning's spring tension combined with extraction design let me utilize these pistols exceptionally quick...(from previous post) Storm has been a bit tricky. The rotating barrel turns in a way that somehow screws me up. NO SHIT. A guy at the service dept fpr Beretta did say with left handed shooters the PX4 requires a little extra rangetime to master. gotta luv my excuse.
Woud be curious to know your thoughts of the Glock, have .40 cal; and 10mm Glock's are consistant, well made, high capacity pistols that are great, two flaws for me are their triggers and trigger safety .
no reason to spend the extra 400 on sig or HK, i've fired the storm and it is the smoothest gun i've ever felt. I have a glock and it's just fine, just not as smooth. Nice job Italians.
@jdwood43 The only thing holding me back is the plastic slide rails on the storm. Why did they do that? I see pics of the material degrading, but you say your storm has lasted thru many rounds now?
@RRViper800TT I thought exact same thing RRVViper until I got my .40 cal H&K
compact. But Beretta's are truly masterpiece';s Way back when I made this video I only had 2 Beretta's and as my recreational shooting progress's I love them more and more..to be honest the Storm has been a bit tricky. The rotating barrel turns in a way that somehow screws me up. NO SHIT. A guy at the service dept fpr Beretta did say with left handed shooters the PX4 requirs a little extra rangetime to master.
@hurdl3thed34d incorrect. Taurus is located in Brazil. No Taurus has ever been made in Italy. however Taurus took over Beretta's plant when they completed a contract for the Brazilian govt. Taurus used blue prints and machined parts the Beretta left as to why there are a few similarities.
Your right the Glock is over rated. Most gun owners are dumb as shit anyway just talk to them when you see them at gun ranges. Hell how many dumb rookie military guys do you see buying a Beretta 92F lol. I have played with the glocks, taurus 24/7, XD2 and XDm. Out of all 3 the XD is my favorite but it has some annoying features.
Another loyal Glock shooter. someone asked me why I was comparing these two weapons to Glock as they had very little in common. Thing is both Beretta and Taurus compare their weapons to Glock.
Two gay things about the beretta. A safety up top where you have to have long alien fingers to take it off safe or use you left hand. Why is it so hard to just put a safety on the trigger like Glock? At least put it on the grip. Next I don't know about this series but the 92F series if you don't watch your fingers the slide will pinch the shit out of you known as "beretta bite".
Look at his Glock. Big ugly rubber aftermarket glove on this handle lol. That is because its uncomfortable as fuck.
excellent points.trigger on my model 20 was so long and heavey I shot it like I was hammered (when I wasent) adjusted and brought trigger down to 3lbs it's like a new gun. was concerned with recoil issues with 10mm and a plastic gun but they masterd the spring/slide perfectly as I don't get banged up as I anticipated.
@Warpath2198 I really don't understand what you are talking about with the safety/decocker because i have small hands and have no problem whatsoever using it. Also the glock pistols do not have safeties. They can call it whatever they want but if I pull the trigger it shoots that is not a safety. Same goes with the xd if you hold it and pull the trigger it shoots.
24/7 comfortable gun long trigger pull, the glock very uncomfortable, hate the trigger, overrated on reliability, but the glock has only one safety...on the trigger as it should be. The XDM is my favorite but it has a gay safety on the grip. Anybody using a 1911 single stack as a "defense" weapon is retarded.
My experience with Beretta's has been nothing but positive, amlost flawless, When the urgency of your weapon to function properly is at the highest and it performes perfectly I develop not just brand loyalty but confidence
That is sweet because I have not been able to play around with the new beretta yet. I'm sure it has one of those hefty European price tags though lol.
Um... there's a reason it's been around for almost 100 years and is currently the most heavily copied pistol design in the world. I also LOVE the beavertail safety because it ensures you won't have a misfire. The only flaw I see with the 1911 is its small magazine size, and there have been enough design variations of it that remedied this problem rather nicely. Give it a little more credit - I GUARANTEE what you're shooting now would never have existed if not for this gun.
The 1911 was great in 1911. The thing is it is a VERY heavy pistol even empty. It has more moving parts, and many of them have single stack magazines. If you want one with any kind of quality you will pay as much or more for a 1911 then you would an assault rifle.
The 1911 has good novelty value and cool factor but that is about it. If your actually wanting to carry or go on duty don't use a 1911 lol. Use a 24/7, Glock. XD2 etc. Avoid guns with hammers they have no purpose.
Coke has been around for a hundred years but that doesn't mean it is good for you. The 1911 is a novelty gun and cannot compete with modern firearms. When people try it just because a heavy piece of shit that costs way too much.
I'll agree, the 1911 is heavily outdated and WAY too expensive, but I also know from personal experience that the 9mm is an unreliable, inaccurate cartridge that shouldn't be put through most of the pistols it sees use in. I think they should have taken more measures to make sure that the .45 ACP remains the gold standard for handguns. Anyone that gets in the way of a .45 round will almost always suffer severe damage, even through a kevlar vest.
i just dont think that the storm is a glock copy because the only thing that pretty much glock gave to the world was the tillting barell and the new material - polymer. and that is a gigant step in firearms evolution. But realy comparing storm and glock the only common thing i see its they both have polymer frames. im not sure but i think storm slide is from steel (i just forgot)
thank you aaron exactly, Wonder why all manufacturer's in this video have compared themselves to Glock...ummmm interesting oh , Have a XD springfield .40 cal , if you put XD on Glock there shapes are almost identicle including sites.
@jdwood43 oh geez yeah Springfield is really humiliating themselves with that carbon copy of a glock and the palm safety. At least the other companies are TRYING to disguise the rip off of glock
The browning designed 1911 locks up exactly the same every shot, if it's made correctly. That means the sights are exactly lined up with the bore of the gun for every shot.
Rotation barrel handguns must have clearance between the barrel and the slide, I see it as the axis of the barrel is always moving some tiny amount, and may or may not be pointed the same exact direction as the sights at any given moment. john browning was by far the best gun designer ever.
That is probably because people in the military who use the 92f series known as the M9 95 percent of the time know nothing of guns. Hell most people coming out of the Army, Marine Corp, Air Force have never even fired anything but an M16 or M9.
The Beretta was contracted way back in 1983. Congress basically forced the Army to switch from a .45 to a 9mm pistol. The Beretta won the trials but then again there wasn't very many good hand guns back then.
beretta makes wepons from 500 years now and glock creatur was making sofas and furniture and 20 years ago he saw the beretta 92 he saw other guns and ge thought he can make a better bun. so 500 years evolution in firearms were stolen from a furniture guy thats why i dont like glock. 20 years ago glock was nothing not like beretta
i just think that beretta company has a better history then glock. i like glocks i like berettas. but i think that glock is way better then 92sf but in my opinion storm is a bit better then glock.
firing power ? dry fire can cause damage to certian guns, a Glock rep stated " "punched out" slides I've seen and the damaged product that Glock has replaced are due to repeated dry-fire sessions without anything to support the area that a case would normally occupy in the chamber.
- Glock has NO caution in the manual (the technician told me that this was an oversight/mistake on their part)
funny , made this video in june of 08, things change , evolve...Storm solid weapon. had trouble shooting it, but do excellent with Cougar 9mm and Vertec 9mm.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
wow loser wtf would you waste your money on gay guns like wth why do you even give a crap about guns there just stuff that shoots out little mettle peices
Happy Thanksgiving erik, at first I was concerned with your unprovoked mis-spelled criticism regarding guns and my video. Upon seeing your channel I understand your abrasive behavior and your complete ignorance in regards to your desperate need to lash out to complete strangers.
suggest you face your problem head on, accept it and face it, good luck.
I have 4 Beretta's and love them the Storm HOWEVER and i 'm not making excuse's but could never master the Storm. I believe and factory rep mentioned that being left handed with the rotating barrel is the problem.
ei.. ive been reading all the post.. can someone give some comments on the new 800 series... also to the 24/7 series.. i really like to read some new post, comments, suggestions, and reaction...
photos and videos are really much appreciated.. thanks and more power
I have never fired it, but the trigger seems a bit ehhhhhhh. Im in between the HK USP .45 and the PX4 .45. Is PX4 with olive frame only for military use?

TheCharredswine 9 months ago
FYI the Px4 was the only firearm in it's class that passed all of SOCOM's rigorous testing requirements. Unfortunately, the different branches couldn't agree on what they wanted so it was never approved for troop issue.

I've always thought of Taurus semi's as a poor mans Beretta. However, they do make some very fine pocket pistols in my experience.
MrBigden37 11 months ago 2
@MrBigden37
good analogy, seeing as Taurus got their start through Beretta. i.Have owned 3 Taurus Pistols of which one was very good the .45acp 1911 AR. oh, just got a tracker .22 9 shot revolver which is a good strong revolver
jdwood43 11 months ago
@jdwood43 yes, I've read reviews on the new Taurus .45 1911 and they are reported to be excellent handguns. Their revolvers are built as strong as tanks and are good shooters. I have a friend that has a .25 auto which has been extremely reliable and accurate for a mouse gun.
MrBigden37 11 months ago
@MrBigden37 Taurus is now becoming a major competitor to the big guys. I thought the same thing a few years ago!
nyquildays 7 months ago
@nyquildays I agree, and think Taurus is making fine firearms. The more competition, the better all firearm buyers will be.

MrBigden37 1 year ago
I wouldn't say the px4 storm is trying to mimic the glock. They have quite a few extreme differences. For example: the internal "hammer" and external hammer. They both have polymer frames, which Glock wasn't the first gun to use polymer. H&K was the first one to produce a polymer pistol over 10 years before the first glock. And Remington was the first gun manufacturer to use polymer in any gun, which I think was a rifle. I believe glock was just the first one to mass produce the idea. Good video
powerman2442 1 year ago
@powerman2442 appreciate your comment, i agree the storm is nothing like gock with it's rotating barell is vastly different than the glock. Sringfield XD and put glock on top of each other and it's almost identicle with exception of internal operations , my S&W M&P and Taurus (that I returned ) were similar.
My H&K i put in a seperate catigory did this video two years ago and what surprised me was the lax patent laws on the few that looked and operated almost the the same ? ur thoughts ?
jdwood43 1 year ago
@jdwood43 It's funny you mention that because Glock did take Smith & Wesson to court over the S&W Sigma. They settled out of court for an "undisclosed" amount of money. I think there are certain guns that do look a lot like Glocks. In my opinion it is like the manufacturing of cars. Yes, there are certain cars that operate extremely different then others, but for the most part they all have to same basic elements that make them a car (or in this case a gun).
powerman2442 1 year ago
@powerman2442
Confidence obtained from years of great performance is priceless
jdwood43 1 year ago
Nice. Question how many handguns do you have own and currently own? Are you enthusiast or does your job require a firearm?
HandRpuffin 1 year ago
I think Taurus semi-autos are some of the most over-rated guns on the planet. The guns are cheap, customer service is nothing but a bunch of Miami crackheads, getting your gun back from them after sending it in to get it fixed is nothing short of a miracle.
isisncasey 1 year ago
@isisncasey
i agree as far as 24/7 , experience with their 1911 type pistols sas follows :1 for 2 on them . had the .45acp "hot rod" they called it with all the bells and wistles and you could actually see the metal imperfections in and around chamber and feed ramp 1-800-paper weight. the other one was a PT AR .45acp and was fine but had no confidence and customers service pissed me off. thanks for comment.
jdwood43 1 year ago
@isisncasey Youre right. The fit and finish on the Taurus is cheap. Not made as well as the Glock , Beretta ect. I got the 24/7 pro a few weeks ago. Had a rusted recoil spring and rust in the barrel out of the box. I tried to manually eject the rounds and they got stuck. I cycled the rounds about 50 times, every 2nd or 3rd round got stuck. Called Taurus they told me this was normal and I should shoot it before complaining. I already know I got a jammer. I wont ever buy a taurus again.

I will say that I can't stand the Heine 8 sights on them and will be chaning them to some brand of 3 dot night sights like I have on my Glock. One issue I do is now, after the last round is fired the action does not always stay open. If I push up on the empty mag the slide will catch and remain open. Mag problem??

my 24/7 experience ended badly. Not to say more than a large amount of individuals love the weapon.
Would recomend H&K compact or Springfield XD over Taurus 24/7 if it's Polymer frame your after.
jdwood43 1 year ago

@thatguy66ish i own a 24 7 9mm and the only problem i have had is when i first started shooting with limp wrist, not holding the gun firm enough, and the slide not engaging back correctly giving you the stove pipe round where the spent casing gets wedged.
03trailblazer4x 1 year ago
@03trailblazer4x I'd have to shoot a lot of rounds(250 at least) to get confidence back on a gun that jammed. I had a Glock 27 that jammed a lot and finally figured it was a SINGLE mag. Bought some more mags and never had the same problems feeding. Confidence restored! My G26 is a more comfortable shoot for me. I really like that one. Shot an attacking pit bull in the left rear ribcage area and out the right front chest. It stopped walked away and died. Thank God for my cpl.

While I have to agree with you about Glocks lets not forget that the Springfield xd is a striker fire and an all around good gun. Post note: The PX4 is one of the best shooting guns I have had the chance to shoot.
lixian25 1 year ago
Between the two: the Glock is one of the most reliable and easy to maintain, and has the best magazines on the market. Issues w/ the trigger and slide release are easily remedied.
The Beretta is a very good value w/ lots of features - it also boasts the lighter recoil especially in .45 where Beretta's rotating bolt makes it perform like heavier steel.
In .40 it's a toss up, in .45 it has to be the Beretta.

democratsrshit 1 year ago
@democratsrshit A design that the military will not consider. The "1911" will always be the "standard" for semi auto pistols. No serious pistol is copies from the Glock. By the way I do own both and the Glock only works since I customized it. The only ones that try to copy Glock are cheap one like Taurus and wanna be cop guns. Serious ccw holders and military look at designs that have been proven for more than 20 years.

Take up the trigger travel before squeezing the trigger. Otherwise it will jerk your shots. Glock has no travel without weighting. I own both and the rotating barrel is more accurate and better for follow up shots. Mine is a 45 and my other is a sub 9mm. I own the g21sf and g17 rtf2. jdwood43 2 years ago
@12GaugeLosAngeles and whats the perfection in your opinion?
swissfa18 1 year ago
Two gay things about the beretta. A safety up top where you have to have long alien fingers to take it off safe or use you left hand. Why is it so hard to just put a safety on the trigger like Glock? At least put it on the grip. Next I don't know about this series but the 92F series if you don't watch your fingers the slide will pinch the shit out of you known as "beretta bite".
Look at his Glock. Big ugly rubber aftermarket glove on this handle lol. That is because its uncomfortable as fuck.
Warpath2198 2 years ago
excellent points.trigger on my model 20 was so long and heavey I shot it like I was hammered (when I wasent) adjusted and brought trigger down to 3lbs it's like a new gun. was concerned with recoil issues with 10mm and a plastic gun but they masterd the spring/slide perfectly as I don't get banged up as I anticipated.
.
jdwood43 2 years ago
@Warpath2198 I really don't understand what you are talking about with the safety/decocker because i have small hands and have no problem whatsoever using it. Also the glock pistols do not have safeties. They can call it whatever they want but if I pull the trigger it shoots that is not a safety. Same goes with the xd if you hold it and pull the trigger it shoots.
Blacklung27 1 year ago
24/7 comfortable gun long trigger pull, the glock very uncomfortable, hate the trigger, overrated on reliability, but the glock has only one safety...on the trigger as it should be. The XDM is my favorite but it has a gay safety on the grip. Anybody using a 1911 single stack as a "defense" weapon is retarded.
Warpath2198 2 years ago

you guys need to check out my video titled just
"Beretta". Has a VERTEC 92FS that';s grip is same as 1911., has rail.check it .
jdwood43 2 years ago
Um... there's a reason it's been around for almost 100 years and is currently the most heavily copied pistol design in the world.
ChaosScourge777 2 years ago
Chaos
The 1911 was great in 1911. The thing is it is a VERY heavy pistol even empty. It has more moving parts, and many of them have single stack magazines. If you want one with any kind of quality you will pay as much or more for a 1911 then you would an assault rifle.
The 1911 has good novelty value and cool factor but that is about it. If your actually wanting to carry or go on duty don't use a 1911 lol. Use a 24/7, Glock. XD2 etc. Avoid guns with hammers they have no purpose.
Warpath2198 2 years ago
@Chaos
Coke has been around for a hundred years but that doesn't mean it is good for you. The 1911 is a novelty gun and cannot compete with modern firearms. When people try it just because a heavy piece of shit that costs way too much.
Warpath2198 1 year ago
I'll agree, the 1911 is heavily outdated and WAY too expensive, but I also know from personal experience that the 9mm is an unreliable, inaccurate cartridge that shouldn't be put through most of the pistols it sees use in. I think they should have taken more measures to make sure that the .45 ACP remains the gold standard for handguns. Anyone that gets in the way of a .45 round will almost always suffer severe damage, even through a kevlar vest.
ChaosScourge777 1 year ago
glock - no hammer beretta - with hammer
glock - tillting barrel beretta - rotating barrel
spring systems are different
glock - safety trigger beretta - ex safety
glock - trigger SAO beretta - DA/SA
in way of function i dont see how these guns are the same. i dont see how one copied the other when they fuction different
beethovenmetalhead 2 years ago 12
thanks you are totally right, functions totally different , similar polymer material .
jdwood43 2 years ago
i just dont think that the storm is a glock copy because the only thing that pretty much glock gave to the world was the tillting barell and the new material - polymer. and that is a gigant step in firearms evolution. But realy comparing storm and glock the only common thing i see its they both have polymer frames. im not sure but i think storm slide is from steel (i just forgot)

im sayin poly frame was copied not the entire dam pistol :)
aaronbigtime 2 years ago
well for a modern pistol a poly frame is something like a law
beethovenmetalhead 2 years ago
thank you aaron exactly, Wonder why all manufacturer's in this video have compared themselves to Glock...ummmm interesting oh , Have a XD springfield .40 cal , if you put XD on Glock there shapes are almost identicle including sites.
jdwood43 2 years ago
@jdwood43 oh geez yeah Springfield is really humiliating themselves with that carbon copy of a glock and the palm safety. At least the other companies are TRYING to disguise the rip off of glock

The tilting barrael was designed by john browning who died in the twenties. glock is from the eighties.
napalm868 2 years ago
The browning designed 1911 locks up exactly the same every shot, if it's made correctly. That means the sights are exactly lined up with the bore of the gun for every shot.
Rotation barrel handguns must have clearance between the barrel and the slide, I see it as the axis of the barrel is always moving some tiny amount, and may or may not be pointed the same exact direction as the sights at any given moment. john browning was by far the best gun designer ever.

didn't the beretta 92fs have a tilting barell as well?
jondoethegreat 2 years ago
yep it has but nobody is talking here for the 92 :D
beethovenmetalhead 2 years ago
@beeth
The Beretta won the trials but then again there wasn't very many good hand guns back then.

i dont think beretta is trying to copy a glock.
beretta makes wepons from 500 years now and glock creatur was making sofas and furniture and 20 years ago he saw the beretta 92 he saw other guns and ge thought he can make a better bun. so 500 years evolution in firearms were stolen from a furniture guy thats why i dont like glock. 20 years ago glock was nothing not like beretta
beethovenmetalhead 2 years ago
@beethovenmetalhead hell yea makin shower curtain rings and in a few decades glock beat everyone haha glocks rule berettas are nice though
aaronbigtime 2 years ago
@beethovenmetalhead and one more thing if you do something first and i do the same thing you did after you thats copying!
aaronbigtime 2 years ago
i just think that beretta company has a better history then glock. i like glocks i like berettas. but i think that glock is way better then 92sf but in my opinion storm is a bit better then glock.

Does dry fire effect the firing power of hammerless pistol????
sajjadtourus 2 years ago
firing power ? dry fire can cause damage to certian guns, a Glock rep stated " "punched out" slides I've seen and the damaged product that Glock has replaced are due to repeated dry-fire sessions without anything to support the area that a case would normally occupy in the chamber.
- Glock has NO caution in the manual (the technician told me that this was an oversight/mistake on their part)

I agree. :)

I have 4 Beretta's and love them the Storm HOWEVER and i 'm not making excuse's but could never master the Storm. I believe and factory rep mentioned that being left handed with the rotating barrel is the problem.

per i difesa può nascondere la serie 80 cheetaah 14 round?
jdwood43 2 years ago
la cheetaah l'ho portata qualche anno fà.
Ma lo stopping power del 9 Short non mi ha convinto infatti ora porto una glock 19C in 9X21
tregazzelle 2 years ago
9X21? DO YOU HAVE EFFETTIVAMENTE 9 / 21 O 9X 19?
abbattere come circa 10 millimetri Glock 20?

La mia glock 19C e in CAL 9X21.
il 10 auto o 40S&w per difesa personale sono troppo potenti non sono molto gestibili soprattutto per doppiare i colpi.
