human rights has done some good in this world..but it has definately caused a lot of BAD......it will be used in the future to control u and me.....it is about protecting the "guilty" and punishing the "innocent"..mark my words!
The EU has to take care! The EU has a responsibility for people who aren´t as lucky as we are... For a strong European Union that has the power and the support to protect human rights in the world!!!! Long live our European Union!
What does europe know of human rights? Look at Abu Qatada a terrorist is allowed to stay in the uk on benefits, is given thousnads in taxpayers money (and complains about it not being enough) he should be sent back to his home and face the terrorist charges.
The Real Criminals ARe the U.S. & United Nations 4 sittn behind while millions of Africans wur been killed>> Human Rights for Africans under international law is a joke!!!
human rights, a group of whiny college students with useless degrees in the arts living in the illusion that they know how to and have a responsibility to solve the world's problems, in the process preventing those who actually know how to solve them from doing so through staging superior PR campaigns.
it is not the human rights to blame. people give thier lifes for human rights. is the nusty politicos de todo el mundo that just want money. instead of blaming people we as cityzens must make sure our goverments to are doing the right thing.....word
Human rights are to blame for the increment of crime everywhere too. Some countries use human right to defend criminals in prisons. They should burn criminals at the stake, not defend their lives.
What about MY human rights? I have, against my will, been made a 'citizen' of the EU, when I wish to be a British citizen. Moreover, nobody in Britain has ever voted to be in the European Union, which has incredible powers over my countrymen, and if there was a referendum on British membership of the EU, I am 100% sure British people would vote to leave. The EU has no 'right' to legislate over Britain.
lets be realistic here, we owe alot of are succsesful economy to the european union, many of british citizens enjoy the open borders within the EU, to abandon the EU would be simply devistatng to our economy, and it would be alot harder to book a holiday in spain. If th UK wishes to retain any say on the world stage into the 21st century the EU is the nessicary leverage we need
excellent, I wish that more people realized how important it is important to implement the simple principle that everyone posseses the same human dignity. But to do so really, Europe should try to become History's first "ethical superpower", then try to convince other powers to work together to transform the present global political architecture based on power to one based on human dignity and human rights and responsabilities.
eire to get rid of many of the horrendous war crimes that are being committed first we need to get rid of Bush who is committing most of them. Get rid of the source
If it sounds to good to be true, it usualy is. Human rights, and international law is mostly created in the West. So I don`t think many people outside the west, feels any comitment to a system they haven`t taken any part of building. I think the internatinoal courts taking place outside the West, for the most part, is sending a signal to the "sivilized" West, and not to anybody else.
Does it matter who took the initiative if something good is being accomplished? The importance of an international court system is not determined by who happens to be doing it. If your nation wants more involvement, then they should get more involved.
I have a feeling the EU won't stop anyone from holding the leader of a genocide responsible for their actions.
A very important piece to have available to the public. It carries an important message that no one should be immune from punishment, regardless of their status.
EXELLENT!!!!!!

We should help and give aid to the developing nations in South America, Africa, and Asia. That way, they won't have to come to Europe.

A man's right for me:
1. I want to be wealthy -- lots of money
2. I want to have happy job -- non-discriminative working environment
3. I want to have good family -- parents, children, good sex, ...
I do not need:
1. religion and patriotism -- I don't want my children to be brainwashed to any doctrine. I want them to choose when they grow up.
2. Politics and voting -- plain lies, useless childish joke, a bug of Westerners
3. law, there is no law in the US, I have seen it. So I know.

You really think Bush is the source of all horrendous war crimes occurring right now? That's a pretty simple-minded statement.
