  • Patrick kitten doing the scooby shot. Ha

  • great video..u need different kinds of shots...a low skid shot is needed many times..im going to practice this one.

  • This isn't so bad of a video. I'm usually harsh to these expertvillage crapfests, but hell, I didn't even know you could throw like that. This guy is clear and to the point. I see nothing wrong with this video.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaaaa

  • This guy has Aspergers'. Stop laughing at him. Unless he thumbers and hits a tree like that one guy.

  • wow, what great quality from expert village. i definitely see why they need to copyright that footage.

  • right under the trees, ey?

  • your best bet would be to throw the disc with your back to the basket, standing on one hand. that kind of shot is called a shaggy

  • That's a long putt shot not a scobee. The trees were farther on, what trees did it slip under? WTF?

  • @movingtracks well its EXPERTVILLAGE, so wtf do they know?

  • @movingtracks He was just giving an example of when you would use the shot.

  • You Tube search line: flying plastic the movie. Finally a disc golf movie worth watching.

  • it never ceases to amaze me how ridiculous the expert village disc golf strategies videos are.

  • Not a scooby... but still a good shot to know.

  • this is not a scooby or scoober, sorry

  • That's not a scooby. A scooby is a kind of roller shot. I've heard this shot called a grenade.

  • that was fuckin retarted

  • What does a scrappy doo do?

  • Ruin a great cartoon.

  • wait, wt trees is this guy talking about, pretty sure he just threw it on perfectly flat ground with really low cut grass. Not exactly what you usually see on courses

  • Laaaaaaaaameeeeeee

  • i've heard of scooby rollers, but not scooby whatever the fuck that is

  • all I was thinking while watching this is... "And boom goes the dynamite"

  • Dude, hate to tell ya, but neither of those grips or releases are "scoobies". I've been playing disc golf and double disc court (DDC) and Ultimate since 1976, and never once have I heard/seen those grips referred to as a scoobie. See Gregg Hosfeld's video on the subject if you want to see what a scoobie really is.

  • that guy must be stoned as fuck if he thinks it "slid right under those trees"

  • Disc Golf is the best.

  • Yeah sure is because you have to run around for awhile. fuck that.

  • THERE ARENT ANY MO FUCKIN TREES!!!

  • also...what disc can i use for a scooby? is there any disc u think is god or can i use any disc?

  • nice! i did dont even know that scooby thing thanks!

  • nerd all grown up

  • So that's what it's called. I actually used that once. Damn trees.

  • WTF scooby? my friends and i just call it a darkslide throw

  • Haha darkslide. Like skateboarding darkslide. I like that.

  • i second that name! haha...

  • I don;t really like frisbees, but im pretty good at the backhand

  • um....yea pretty gay.

  • You don't have to throw the disk upside down to get it to slide, I just did what he was talking about today without holding the disk upside down, I feel that wouldn't be a comfortable throw.

  • Hey Pat, the shot you demonstrated is useful. But, the name you were referring to is "scoober", which is actually gripped EXACTLY the same as a right side up backhand. The arm curls UPWARD above the same shoulder and rolls outward to deliver a roller or UD. Ask any DDC player. Ultimate players often erroneously call the UD two finger a scoober too. Don't want to sound snotty. Just want to relay history before it becomes too muddled.

  • THANK YOU! I was going to make the same point. Having learned the scoober in 1976 and as one of the foremost users of the throw in DDC (7 world championships- 4 open and 3 masters), I too want to keep the nomenclature intact and historically accurate. So, thank you again.

    Rick

  • yeah man¡¡¡¡

  • WOW, THOSE ARE SOME THICK TREES!

  • ill say man i wonder how he would ever get to the basket

  • @ice252525 i can't see the forest for the trees

  • haha, there are no trees! that guy just ate some shrooms!

  • Or he just came off the "bowl hole"

  • hahaha

  • haha for sure!

  • this shot works very well on snow!!!! slip n slide down the hills!!

  • what trees?what kind of drugs are you on?

  • Can't really see where the disc went, or how flat it flew, or how much airtime it has to be given (or denied) in order to work right -- the video quality is not good enough. I imagine that if you hang this throw in the air too long, an edge will drop and you'll wind up digging in, right?

  • You can see the first throw pretty well. It slid right under the basket. Just throw it flat and low. It doesn't need much airtime. The whole point is to slide it on it's top side.

  • I use this shot to get out of tight spots in the woods when the only hole is by my feet.

  • Is this used just for approach shots?

  • Yes it's just an approach shot. Works really well when laying up downhill and you want to make sure it doesn't pick up and roll down past the basket.
