im half russian and half afghan, so what? But tell you the truth white girls are attracted to me more than arabs, afghans, and other asian backgrounds..... maybe because i have blue eyes and light skin, i don't know... but tell you the truth is not easy to be mixed race, cause you just don't know for who to go for! And yeah even though i do have a light skin and european features you still get faced racism thats the truth so yeah!
What is so ironic is that in terms of "color", which is what so many people use to spot judge others, "white" is the blending of all color into one and "black" is the total absence of color.
So White people should more properly be called "colored"! The point is, we all have over 90% of the same genetic material, any differences happened because of geography, to enable survival. And there are obvious cultural differences, but unless we are all considered "mixed race" then no-one is "mixed race"!
I don't think "mixed race" or most people in general understand genetics very well. And anyone who says there are not any ethnicities are misinformed as well.
You said yourself both your parents are part European of some branch, and you have a touch of African, and Arab. You are genetically more Asiatic than anything else, I could bet money on it. Either way, people who say "mixed race" people are confused are not stupid. There are clearly societal issues that go along with this.
@84Drumcircle I agree that there are societal issues that go along with it. But most articles that I have read about Biracial or mixed race children being confused is written by someone who is not Biracial. It is not us who is confused it is society who is confused. They want to correlate all their ideas and opinions of who we are, how we should feel, and what we should claim to be, to us simply being confused. I believe it is a way for them to feel better, to categorize us as being unsure.
"Most articles" in comparison to what? And the people who do state such a thing are not without proof. There are very clear cut, and factual documentation about confusion dealing with people of mixed heritage. And you state "We" as if all mixed race people agree with all of your statements. Genetics is far more complex than you simply being two different ethnicities. Phenotypes are trivial for example.
@84Drumcircle What I wrote is not me stating that all mixed people feel that way, I commented on the fact that people who are not Biracial are the first to say we are confused. We meaning Biracial, it has nothing to do with what side you chose to identify with. Factual? I have read many articles stating that Biracial people are not more likely than any other race to have any kind of confusion. It is a Human thing not a racial. I don't know what you have been reading.
There are many other statistics that contradict your claim. So again, you can't make an over whelming statement like that. We are human, but different ethnicities with specific differences. That is scientific fact. Check your DNA and you will find your percentage or dominate DNA.
@84Drumcircle Make overwhelming statement, kid? Did I say the whole population, did I say everyone, did I say all humans? I did not think so, I thought I made that clear. We will go by what the APA says about mixed race children not being confused than any other Human. Does that mean all? No, no one said that, but it is representing a larger group who are not. I am mixed. I have never been more confused than any black or white person standing next to me.
Again go re read your statements, and watch your own video. But If you still want to question anything I stated that fine. Go watch the documentary and the video on the white baby doll, and black baby doll test. If you still think some how mixed race kids don't have this problem because they are mixed and have special powers not to be influenced by society thats on you.
@84Drumcircle Once again no one said that Biracial people are not confused, it is being perpetuated by society that they are more confused than any other race which is not true. They are no more confused than any other group of people. I do not know what documentary you are referring to because I have seen 2 and each group of kids were Black that they were conducting the baby doll test on. Basically what I am drawing from this is you are trying to tell me what I already said.
Also, that is a very big generalization stating that " you believe they state such things to make themselves feel better" . That doesn't sound any different than a typical Euro centric person stating that African claim Egypt to make themselves feel better. As if Egypt was the only African empire that existed. Again when you say " US" who are you referring to. There are mixed race people who identify with one side more than the other all the time.
@84Drumcircle People feel safer and better when others are put into categories. It has been said by many psychologists and you see it in everyday life. People like to lump people in as a whole because they think it is easier for them to judge someone i.e stereotypes. I didn't say everyone, the word "people" describes many and it is more than a few who does this. Once again regardless of what side of race you chose to be differs from society's view of you.
@hijazaland You were raised in the birthplace of the Saxon so I can imagine the social conservatism you were faced with. The English in the town you were raised was probably just being themselves but thank the lord for London multiculturalism and you were able to get a breather. The U.S is just as culturally conservative we both are English heritage based.Societies.
i think those bullies were jus jealous of you becos u hav an exotic mix :) im mixed 2 nn im mosly kashmiri mixed with persian, greek nn white. nn i still get alot of dirty looks from ppl 4 no reason .. basically they have no rite to judge anyone about their race, so they shud get to kno the person first b4 dey judge cos dey cud be a really nice person :)
Just like any ethnicity, mixed people come in all colors with all types of features. It is society(such as the media) that likes to put a label on what a certain ethnicity "is supposed to" look like. The truth is that anyone could look like any ethnicity. If people realize that someone does not fit the social construction of a certain ethnicity, then that person may feel lied to by society. That is one reason why people try to limit the defintion of what each ethnicity looks like.
i will never believe someone like you tells me she's a mixed race person in a real life having a conversation with you' not being a ingnorant but you look very white.
@fidodidomt Some half asians look completely one sided, at school there is people like you saying how can you be mixed race when your asian colour? Because I took my dads colour!?!? I am half english half burmese and hate it when people just call me one nationality.
It depends on the individual and where they grew up, how they were raised as well as their self-esteem. I know that a lot of mixed race people are confused sometimes and some go through life not giving it a second thought. I'm half Dutch and half Filipino and I live in Ontario, Canada. I admit that I do get confused and lost sometimes but every year you see more and more mixed race families out there. One of these days the whole world will be full of mixed races.
Intruiging video! I so appreciate a legitimate, healthy and well-rounded perspective on the experience of being of mixed heritage. I am Black and Sicilian along with a few other European ethnicities and I appreciate hearing from someone who, like myself, is NOT confused nor hostile and represents the experience with understanding and true tolerance.
white men used to inpregnate blk women then take the biracial baby give them good clothes let them live in house and make the blk mother serve the biracial daughter. and the mixed child wouldnt even know that was her mother who was serving her. blk women cried rivers for yall. and u repay with conceit. onething i know for sure god is no respector of persons even kings live and die by that.another thing blk are waking up to this. i was gonna have a biracial child but she might marry a honky lol
its a movie out called (feast of all saints) its about biracial people and what part they played during slavery. white men used to set them up in whore houses so prestigious white men can run trains on them all day. they were white mens whore and will forever be. you can find the movie at your local library. white men know biracial women are whorish sluts it shown in that movie.
like it says in revelation god will seperate all the nation. the sheep from the goats. god knows that us blacks are the most hated off all we have a special place with him. thats why he says they who were first will be last and those who were last will be first. black people are hated by all races all the prophets were blk hebrews.christ said remember they hated me first. biracial people are conceited bitches. white men used them as sex whores during slavery
blacks yall better wake up yall gotta remember we have no friends in this world. in the bible its says that god hates conceit biracial people are full of it. they are an enemy to us just as much as mexicans and whites. i never thought they were blk their mutts.thats why god told moses to come out of egytp not intergrate.because he knows the division it would of caused. i fuck mixed bitches all the time their slutty like white women. thier pussy isnt as good as their face looks.
I love this post! I feel exactly the same as you about everything you said. I too look mostly white (if I straightened my hair I could pass for white; although I never have tried to pass). I have experienced a lot of rejection from black females as well. Yet, I understand where they are coming from; so, I don't get angret with them.
You could pass for either Dominican or Puerto Rican, mainly Puerto Rican. I've seen many Puerto Rican girls that look very similar to you! That is why I really admrie Puerto Rican and dominican culture-they have a mix of everything
@TheLucasleddy I swear to go i am pure black African... a mean all my families are black.. but am from east Africa so yeah we pit different from north or west of Africa when it come the look...
I think it was the way you were raised, you have a balanced concept of your mixed heritage, but in the USA, some mixed people (Black/White) have been taught/raised to hate their Black heritage, which causes them to talk stupid, and even hateful towards Black people. SOME biracials even have racists views toward Black people, because they have been taught to hate their Blackness by the white parent.
I see all you mixed race people as my brothers and sisters espescially if your half black and half white. I will always have a connection with my people only a mixed person knows a mixed race person and realistically we are a confused race.
"Arabic" is a language, not an ethnicity. "Arab" is more of a geographical descriptor than an ethnic one. Arabs are generally a mixture of African, Caucasian and Asian (especially in Northern Africa).
@Soveraine Mentally retarded? So how do you explain African people who hold jobs as educators, scientists, medical professionals and who have done well in business, finance and politics for instance? Surely some intelligence is necessary to achieve in such fields? I am not so mentally retarded that I cannot sit here and type in distinguishable language.
@kittykat979 (#2 In the movie Pirates of the Caribbean.... they only had a couple of very unattractive black Pirates... when actually there were thousands of black Pirates. Blackbeard had 100 Pirates with him over 60 of them were black. Because they want to make money from middle America they leave those facts out of the movie. People buy into these lies.
YouTube :
"What DNA Says About Human Ancestry." -- "The Human Family Tree."
@kittykat979 Bible says... we should speak truth to each other. I want to thank you for a very sincere reply. I want to encourage and reinforce your outlook on life. We need more people like yourself to speak up... that others will benefit by your knowledge and life experience of this situation.
Hollywood is one of the biggest perpetrators and beneficiaries of racial lies.
By catering to the whims of White America.
Cowboys and Aliens had no black Cowboys... actually over 30% were black.
@kittykat979 There does seem to be a lot of confusion about what an Arabic person is like in terms of appearance. Arabic people are very diverse, some can be very pale and some can be very dark. My family range from olive toned skin to very pale, which is what I took after. I just happened to take after my Arabic side more in appearance.
Be very careful not to accept african as Arabs. Since Arabs enslaved africa, there are millions of African north/south/east/west Africa that will call themselves Arabs but they are not.
In Africa we know the Arabs, etc. In the video, she looks more as Arabs, that fine and African will really not care.
@hijazaland Oh okay I see :) That's beautiful! Are you aware that all people are descendants of Africa? When I was in science class, I was taught this, and it was pretty cool!!! As a mixed race person like you, just makes me feel better that we are all one!!!
@gatheringleaves My family are Saudi Arabian originally. Just ignore Soveraine, I have just seen the comments and agree that this individual does indeed need educating.
First off, Arab just means someone who speaks Arabic, so I'll assume you mean middle eastern.
It would depend on what you mean by "white", do you mean caucasian? or do you mean white in color?
In terms of being Caucasian, yes, some middle eastern populations ( syrians for instance), have genetics that place them in the same group as Europeans.
Color terms? yes, but you would also have to include east asians and anyone carrying enough light skin pigmentation genes.
I've never heard another bi-racial person of fair skin talk about this subject before. You have nailed it. People project their own feelings upon us. Darker skiinned people say we think we are "superior". We don't! They assume that without knowing us and they are expressing their own feelings that mixed race people are superior. Being exposed to more than one culture makes a difference in our personalites, but doesn't make us think we are superior. Smart girl. Great vidio. Make more.
Thank you for this video because I've never heard anyone that's mixed step up to the plate and talk about this whole notion that people of mixed race are confused, I've met mixed race people around my age that are VERY confused and I never understood why, mixed is mixed your two races love both, but they feel like they have to choose. If I have children (because of the person I'm with) they would be mixed and I would want them to be confident in their heritage like you are!! Thank you :)
The notion that different races are in fact different species. Tragedy is this mindset's only offspring; it is what led to slavery in my country, it is what drove the Nazi’s attempt to exterminate the Jews. The list is worldwide.
There are no different races. There is the human race, period. Yes, the human race is wonderfully rich with variety. Different color hair and eyes and skin, various belief systems and taste in music, sports, art and politics. But all generated by members of ONE RACE.
Half-breed would be the most correct term... even if it is more politically incorrect, because it does describe the process of which your speaking. The best term might be mixed-heritage because it doesn't include the FALLACY of the concept of race, but it does imply the interbreeding of people of more than one heritage.
"BLACK PEOPLE ARE THE GENETIC PARENTS OF ALL HUMAN BEINGS!"
@TheStarGardian Yes, I'm mixed (mum is black and dad is white) but I acknowledge the fact that we all descended from africans, so all people are technically just different shades of BLACK. lol
I pay Ignorant bigots as much heed as a a piece of dirt on the bottom of my shoe. I embrace both sides of my heritage(white European/African American) and am vehemently proud of it.
Ignorant people will always try to find fault with something whether it's their low pay, gay people, the fact they can't get an erection! They will always scapegoat and project their fear and insecurities. I pity them.
Love has no boundaries. If you don't like it tough. Welcome to the 21st century!
Wow man, you are a very sick minded individual. I think you should either see a shrink or get checked into a mental asylum if you really believe that crap!
AFRICANS FROM THE CONTINENT OF AFRICA.THAT'S HOW THE PEOPLE GOT THEIR NAME.CAUCASIANS FROM THE CAUCASUS MOUNTAINS. THAT'S HOW THEY RECEIVED THEIR NAME.AND ASIA WHERE THE WORD ASIAN DERIVED.3 INDIVIDUAL RACES WHO RECEIVED THEIR NAMES FROM GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATIONS.SO WHAT'S THE FUSS OVER WHO'S BLACK ,WHITE OR WHATEVER COLOR.WHAT ARE WE CRAYONS NOW OR PAILS OF PAINT? COME ON PEOPLE! OH YEAH! HINDU(EAST INDIANS) IS A RACE ALSO BUT NOT CLASSIFIED BY CAUCASIAN SCIENCE.THEN WE HAVE SUB- RACES OR MULATTOS
@robert180197 they were the true Mayans and Aztecs until the Spainiards came and raped the men and women's so that is why you see alot of different color Hispanics my point in being is the same shit had happened with us Americans so you my sir are not fully white that makes you a"Mixbreed"to so to say that mix people are not human you are saying that you are not human as well
they were the true Mayans and Aztecs until the Spainiards came and raped the men and women's so that is why you see alot of different color Hispanics my point in being is the same shit had happened with us Americans so you my sir are not fully white that makes you a"Mixbreed"to so to say that mix people are not human you are saying that you are not human as well
@robert180197 Who cares what the law says if you have a white dad and a black mother or vice verse you are mix you are marked down as multiracial for example you have mix people that are way lighter then you or have different eye colors and for white trash honestly i think you fit with the criteria there is nothing fancy about a racist just prejudice and hatred remember you are not all the way white you have indian in you and to hate on the Hispanics absurd the remember the true hispanics
@robert180197 No that my friend is what they have said back in the slavery days it was intended to be racist because of the masters and the white society have believed that"White people'were to superior and whites have originated from Africa so that makes you a"Nigger'as well
@robert180197 I am biracial and i am both i speak Spanish and English i am both my mom and dad are different races what you are saying is such strictly ignorance tell me this where do the whites come from?
Of course there are mixed race people that are confused. You have been taught both aspects of your heritage, there are very many that are not taught and this is the main failing parents can love their children - but your right once the child leaves the comfort of their home it can be hell for mixed race people :(
Do you believe that the people who say it really believe it? It is a way for someone to feel superior. Come on now. These people don't know you. They don't know your life.
@blkpryde1 it's a mule. my kids have to know what they are and they have to decide how they interact in the world. if accepting both sides of their heritage, and refusing to identify with either or, makes them confused, then so be it. my father was half native american and half white, he grew up in the 40's and 50's, so he was tortured as a child. so, maybe he was confused over what to be, or made to feel bad about being not one or the other. it depends on your experience i guess.
@blkpryde1 nope, i am not confused. my ancestry is european and native american. i just think that times are different than when my father was growing up. i certainly don't think we're all gonna join hands and start singing, but it's not as acceptable to be racist. it does exist, but i really do think most people are better than that. i would never want either of my kids to be forced to identify themselves as anything. they should have the right to decide how they identify themselves.
@blkpryde1 and i would think it was boring if we all were the same. i'm certainly not colorblind, i think that's naive. you see race and you notice it. i just can't understand why it matters. being white and southern is actually kind of boring. and most everyone who lives in this country is a mutt of some sort. unless, you have immigrated from some other country, you have probably a very mixed heritage. white or black.
I believe everyone should be raised to embrace all of their cultures :) Why not? I do this as well. Polish and Black American...I love them both! Great video.
me again! i totally understand what you are saying. iv been treated differently most of my life. my sister and brother are darker than me and i am the light one. i dont see why we are judged by the black girls. i get funny looks and stares and it does make me feel funny but my hubby tells me to ignore but it is SO hard to at times. i still experience racism at my age so get on with your life and LIVE.! it wont change. your family/friends are all that matter. be happy dont worry! Denise
hi, im mixed race too. i am half French and half-Ghanian. i too am very fair skinned. people dont believe that i am Ghanian and always think my hubby is the Ghanian! i feel blessed to be who i am. being mixed race gives me alot of attention but on the other side of the scale black girls resent me because i am with one of their men! i feel like your mother as i am 43.! you are talking about me when you talk about the girls. i dont understand it at all. Take care and be strong. Denise
Nobody knows anything. I thought you were plain white girl. Alot of people would. As for mixed race. It depends o the individual. Some are leaders, and some are followers. The followers are in trouble. I have always thought outside of the box. Even to how I make my living. Its siply not done by very, very few people.
I am also mixed. I made a video explaining y I was confused about who I was. Now I've grown up I kno I don't have to choose Btwn black or hispanic. Ur very fortunate to have been raised to b so sure of who u r. Nd I think it's great wat ur saying.
and embraced both cultures as his own which is good, and i would recommend many people who are confused, to ask relatives about their culture and heritage so that they have a feeling they belong somewhere.
Ur complaining??:)) My granpa was greek, my granma german, other granpa half polish half romanian, grandma romanian, I live in Romania:)) I love Greece and find Germany boring :))
Ur complaining??:)) My granpa was greek, my granma german, other granpa half polish half romanian, grandma romanian, I live in Romania:)) I love Greece and find Germany boring :))
Mixed race people are not confused. They are exactly what they are mixed with. Rather it be Nigerian and Scottish or Japanese and Mexican or Italian and Turkish or w/e any other kind of mix.
If a mixed person feels like representing their mother's side or their father's side or both that is their business.
I'd say you're Black. But you say you're Arab from Saudi. But I aint surprised, since the White Arabs caught many black people from Mali,Senegal, and brought them to the Arabic Peninsula.I don't know, but you may have some 'khel'(black in arabic)in your veins.I ain't dissing, just saying, cause you remind me the Berber people, mix between arabs(white)and black people
Biracials are confused and mentally insane. The brain of a biracial is quite different from other races that is why most of them ended in mental hospitals
@coquiangel Yes but the funny think is as a mixed race person, most of the times I tend to ignore the issues that spark emotional outrage... and just ignore them, cause they are not really educated.
I am not confused either. Actually, I don't think much of my race. I forget my parents are of two different races. I am only reminded of my heritage when I am asked of my race. I don't go into deep explanation of my ancestry. I just simply say, Mulatto, which is one term to describe a person of mixed black and white. Mixed-race is the fastest growing demographic in the world. And it is wonderful.
...too feel so small. There racist remarks where way off the geographical scale and i thought at least if your going to insult someone's heritage get it bloody right you useless bloody moron. Anyway don't get any remarks anymore as I've gotten older I have started to look more white but still have all the dark featers of mexican. It's good to mix it up otherwise you'd end up scraping from the gene pool and end up like inbred like the royal family... rant over...over and out x
...and it really did bother me. But my mother had taght me to accept everybody regaurdless of race, culture, religion etc I even accept the racist of all race's because at the end of the day there the unfortunite one's who haven't been rasied with open eye's and live in constant fear of the unknown. Anyway when I was at school One day I turnded to these's bullys and said so what if I was a ***(whatever) I'd still be proud you can't change who you are and i'm not going to apologise and be made...
People fasinate me. From all corners of life. I think being mixed race and having a multicultural upbringing make's it easier for you to grasp other people's cultures with open mind. where as some people from prodimintly one cultural backgraound and race have trouble accepting these differances. I'm lucky I'm Mixed race my Dad had mexican heritage but I was brought up by my mother who was Welsh. I suffered ignorant bullying at school from idiot's who would shout race hated at me...
Just want to say that you are beautiful and should be very proud of yourself and your parents for exposing you to both sides of your heritage. I can understand what you meant when afro-women get upset at you, as my exgirl had the same experience, sadly its their insecurities that pushes them to do so. I am Nigerian and have heard mixed race friends express comments similar to your, i encouraged them to stay true to themselves and keep to their heart ppl that love and care about them.
you are pretty & ignore hateful women. i am a black lady that live in america. i've always been told by black women & some black men :you think you are white/ you act white/ if i was blindfolded i would never knew you was black. i grew up in a black neighborhood, but i've always acted the way i do. i am transitioning to natural hair & blacks are asking me hair questions. my black female friends has always said i got good hair "whatever that means". i've NEVER been a racist & i never see
Listening to the lady in this video it does seem that she is struggling for her Identity. My cousins are mixed raced, though im a black person.I would say that on the whole mixed raced people often believe they are better than blacks and tend to behave as if they are superior to black, (especially in Africa and the West Indies)You will notice that 95% of mixed raced men would not ever consider dating a dark skinned black woman. The mixed raced man can usually be found in the arms of white women
The shape of your nose looks quite African, but your skin seems very light in tone. First time I see something like this. I'm quite curious what your facial angle is :)
Sorry if I sound weird, I'm a first year art student and we just studied these things in human anatomy this semester :)
I'm white, mexican, black and native american...I used to be confused on who I should be and thought I just act "black" to be cool at times, but as I got older I just realized I'm mixed and that's the bottom line..I don't have to fit it in group to be myself..I love all sides of my family
i think everyone is confused in their younger years. im 16, black, irish, and native american and im confused at times about a LOT of things....but i know as i grow older, ill find myself.....in more ways than one :)
@SHAZZA708 Hey, Arabic people actually consist of many different ethnic groups from many parts of the world, though mainly the middle east. My fathers family are descended from a Saudi Arabian tribe, one of the largest Arabic ethnic groups. They have their own language but speak Arabic too, Arabic is the main language spoken by all Arabic people and something that we identify by. :)
Excellent video. You're very insightful. I'm tired of the negativity that surrounds race mixing.I've never been confused and I never considered that being mixed was a problem but it's definitely a problem for some narrow minded people.

@gatheringleaves Someone with african ancestry is physically unadapted to most parts of the known world.
Because they can only thrive in Africa. And there are many peoples who are AFricans.
Romans, Greeks, Jews, Arabs, Chinese, Aborigenals, Americans.
And even more than those. They are all AFrican people. And they are all physically weaker and mentally retarded, when they leave their native soil.
Soveraine 2 months ago
@Soveraine Mentally retarded? So how do you explain African people who hold jobs as educators, scientists, medical professionals and who have done well in business, finance and politics for instance? Surely some intelligence is necessary to achieve in such fields? I am not so mentally retarded that I cannot sit here and type in distinguishable language.

@gatheringleaves African features, is recognised by oily skin, large ear lobes and lips.
Oily or very dry hair, that turns to desert bush in wet weather, or moist air. As well as very sensitive skin to coldness.
Have you ever seen africans climb the Himalayas? Or any africans climb the tallest and coldest and hardest to survive mountains of the world?:
I doubt such. It is only the people used to cold weather, that achieve those performances.

Since Arabs enslaved africa, there are millions of African north/south/east/west Africa that will call themselves Arabs but they are not.

hijazaland 2 months ago
@hijazaland @kittykat979
DataSe7en 2 months ago
@kittykat979 Nope. Arabs are never white.
During the Macedonian conquest, a lot of european people and mercenaries of the Macedonian part of Europe, joined the invasion of the Orient.
So there was a large number of white europeans who conquered and dominated the Arab world back then.

Make more.

STOP RACIAL GAME PLAYING!
TECHNICALLY :
THERE ARE NO SUCH THING AS RACE!
( There are NO HUMAN SUBSPECIES ).
Half-breed would be the most correct term... even if it is more politically incorrect, because it does describe the process of which your speaking. The best term might be mixed-heritage because it doesn't include the FALLACY of the concept of race, but it does imply the interbreeding of people of more than one heritage.

@TheStarGardian The black people are one of the White Races, called "Persians".
They were discriminated by the non-white romans, greeks, arabs, turks, because of their pale skin, and soft european features.
They are mentioned as the Aryans or Nobles, chosen as royalty, in the Caucassus realm's Empire.
With red haired Scythians as the main core of the population, and white persians (with black hair) as the Nobility and Royalty.
So the black race are ARyans, but not "elders".

Your face has an interesting anatomy :)

SHAZZA708 1 year ago 2
