Zane was the most natural Mr Olympia, but he was not natural by any means. It was legal then, so why wouldnt he take roids? All those bodybuilders that claim they were natural back in the 60s and 70s are full of it. Its all about risk and reward. What known risk was there to steroid use back then?

Regardless, Zane is the epitome of bodybuilding and I hope one day the ifbb and other orgs lean towards aesthetics and not bloated mofos.

His physique does show how bodybuilding has changed. A sculpted, aesthetic, athletic build like his would not even qualify him today - and that is a shame. Today it is all about freakish mass. Whether he was natural or not is debatable, but I believe his physique is possible for a natural bodybuilder if they have the genetics, drive, and know-how.
I believe it is possible. I have read his book "Body, Mind, and Sprit" and I believe he had great disciple, and mental fortitude. Also, the mass on his body is will within his limits; he is 5'9 and weight in 185 lbs. Im 5'7'1/2 and can barely stay under 198 for my powerlifting weight class. Just look at the Olympic Power Lifters or Olympic Gymnast. They can do things only .01% of our population can do, and they go through the toughest drug testing. So Zane a Natural Olympia, very possible

hmm.. You wouldn't think by looking at Frank Zanes physique he was completely jacked up on the roids.. I read an interesting comment about someone who's actually stood next to Zane, and stressed that you dont actually realise how big he is until your next to him.
