  • "with respect to put on a Carbon Tax"

Wow, i've always been for Gravel.

But I didn't know of this role....

    That saddens me

  • Super A+ I hope he runs again. Thanks for your honestly, Mike Gravel!

  • I Like Mike, I will vote for Mike, and have donated as well.. and will again!!!!!!!!!!

  • If I had my fantasy it would be Paul/Gravel 08.

But it wont cme to pass because the lying media and the dumbass sheeple believe.

  • I love him.. i wish i lived in states, i would go door to door and get him votes. But i do feel sorry for him coz he will be assasinated.. I really hope he wins!! First politican i have seen in my life, who is so honest and straight up!

  • Gravel and Paul will not win. Why? Because the elites will not allow it and they'll enforce and brainwash the media to make sure of it. If by some stroke of luck they do win. They will be assassinated. Plain and simply, the deck has been dealt. America will fall within ten years sending power to the UN. The UN will strip the entire globe of freedoms, and you will have the last "nation" "power" before revelation. The UN will not last, and judgment will be sent forth.

  • Everyone that wants Mike Gravel to win, follow these steps.

    1) Register as a Democrat so you can vote for him in the primaries. Do it NOW!

    2) Email your friends everyday with YouTube segments.

    3) Print flyers and post them everywhere in your neighborhood.

    4) Know the rules of your state pertaining to electing the Democratic Candidate

If the media wont report the news it's our duty to do it. Our Voice is louder than the media's

(Copy this and paste this on other Mike Gravel Videos)

  • Rick Sanchez was not like here in Florida when he was doing the local news. In Miami we did not understand how he got to CNN.

  • I like this man alot. He is cut from the same cloth as Ron Paul, despite some of their differences. If I was to vote dem, I would vote for him. I would like to think he would have a place at Ron's table.

  • No shit, Gravel and Paul are closer to each other than they are to their own party.

  • watch my video "Ron Paul America's last chance"

  • "favourite part of our sunday news cak..."

    genius

  • Gravel is listed as Unitarian on wiki, same as several of the founding fathers. This man is going to get support, he's the only Democrat who doesn't dance around issues and he isn't a corporate shill with a billion dollar ad fund. Spread the word, this man is real.

  • I wish he could win

  • Gravel is the best option people

  • I am a liberal but I registered Republican before I gave a shit about politics. I just registered whatever my grandpa was registered as. Anyway, I was watching Washington Journal, and there's a lot of Paul supporters. I am one. I also support Gravel. I'm definately changing my party registration and registering democrat to vote for Gravel. Paul is extremely popular on the Republican side, looks like Gravel needs some popularity on the democrat side.

  • Would be great if either this guy or Ron Paul had a chance.

  • Actually, Paul does have a chance. Watch 3 hours of C-SPAN, you'll see how popular Paul is. The other day, they had 75 Ron Paul supporters in a 3 hour program to call in. He was by far the most mentioned and favored candidate on Washington Journal. If you do the math, there's 180 minutes in 3 hours. To have 75 mentions of Paul in 180 minutes, it averages out to one mention every 2 minutes.

  • That's extremely popular. The host was even getting pissed b/c almost everyone was saying they wanted Paul. Paul is certainly a bi-partisan candidate. There's many republicans and democrats alike that like him. I'm one of his democrat supporters. I called into C-Span and gave my comment, said I'd liked Gravel and Paul, and the very next caller said it was good to hear other Paul/Gravel supporters.

  • I wish they could run on the same ticket. They'd make the most awesome P/VP we've had in the past 100 years.

  • if the evangelicals vote im affraid none of the candidates that would make positive changes will win. may come close but unfortunetly close doesnt get to be president. m not saying its a lost cause. just dont be too mad if we continue to be a nation down the drain. canada is nice. ha. maybe go there.

  • "if the evangelicals vote..." they may well vote for a Republican Congressman who's been married to the same woman for some fifty years now, never been involved in a scandal, and treats his oath of office to support the Constitution as a sacred pledge.

  • no. the only people they would vote for are people that do not separate church and state (christian) and of course anyone who doesnt separate chuch and state will stress the fact that they are family oriented like it fucking matters. i personaly dont want a president who believes in fairytales.

  • I don't paricularily like the idea of yet another silly theist in the White House, but whattya gonna do? No one who denounces theism is going to get past the first post, let alone anywhere near the finish line. Better to be coldly cynical and vote for a good man in spite of his christianity.

  • so sell my soul because its more convenient? dont think so. i dont understand the logic behind " hel never make the poles.. i cant throw my vote away on him".. if you like him vote for him! make a donation! something.. he refuses money from the "fat cats".. gravel has more morals than everyone in the whitehouse combined and if voting for him is throwing my vote away so be it.

  • you honestly believe the works of 9/11 were not the works of a christian conservative which is btw the worst scandal of all? hell, the christain religion = SCAM. where theres money theres scandal and unfortunetly those people are all about it(money) gravel doesnt accept money from fat cat large corporations because they are destroying this country. hes a leader.

  • Are you telling me that Sen Gravel is NOT a christian? Please, if it's true, then he DEFINITELY deserves a closer look. Thank you. As for Reichstag Two being a put up job -- I'm skeptical. Having dealt intimately with the USAF, the IRS, and the Post Ofice, such a grand and secret conspiracy theory is just a little hard for me to swallow.

  • look into it. demolition.

  • visit FLINGDATINGSITE . COM for hot women to date

  • Mike Gravel is too old to be president, or alive for that matter.

I'd personally vote for my own COCK before I vote for this TWAT.

He's a flip-flopper, and a big talker, like all other candidates.

He knows little about international affairs other than "War in Iraq is bad, must tell everyone I think it's bad, that way most people will be on my side."

No thanks. Smart American's dont want to waste their votes on a guy who obviously WANTS to lose, and is trying hard to do so.

  • You're crazy. Gravel has never flip flopped. Besides, where has this idea come from that flip flopping is bad? A person would have to be extremely closed minded to never change their views on issues. Actually he knows just as much or more about international affairs than the rest of the candidates in either party. The only point you had was that he's old, thats true.

  • lose? sadly for me the current president is competing. sadly for you this isnt a game we are playing. gravel has more answers than any candidate and would shut them down in any debate. you cant argue with logic. he speaks in favor of all americans including you. wake up and see it.

  • joeinpain is correct wake up and listen to logic. gravel2008 all the way.

  • Go to face book and vote for gravel on their pole. If you don't have an account just sign up so you can vote. For every vote facebook donates to his campaign. Thanks!

  • Gravel/Paul 2008!

  • Well, Iraq is nothing like Vietnam... but Gravel is a crazy ass mother fucker who will KILL a man. I will vote for him.

  • Thanks To You For ANOTHER Informative video Of Mike Gravel, that makes sense and it to the point. I wish You well, I see Gravel and Paul are Truly Concerned for Our great Country.

Mike Gravel and Ron Paul would Make a GREAT Running Team!!! A Truly Bi-Partisan Team ;-)

    "Peace whenever Posssible, Anything is."

  • Subscribe to Mike's channel to boost his ratings! Orange button to the right...spread the word about MIke . Thanks everyone!

  • he sounds smart :D

  • this guys smart

  • Paul/Gravel 2008. They would kick some congressional colonist asses if Gravel would lean to more less IRS and FED reserve control he could join the freedom freedom team when we take back the country from the tyranny pigs that think they run it.

  • right on!!!

    PAUL/GRAVEL 08.

  • Fuckin right...legalize drugs! Crack-heads make good customers

  • Gravel NOT invited to the LGBT debate hosted by LOGO cable network.

    Complain/protest/beg here:

LOGO: 212 654 3005. This is an answering machine. Be brief and clear.

The sponsoring organization is called "Human Rights Campaign": 202 628-4160 Toll-Free: 800/777-4723

  • Ironic. Gravel is the only candidate to join a Gay Rights parade and he doesn't get invited to the LOGO hosted debate. Just keep a close watch, he will slowly be un-invited (or like last night's CNN/Youtube debate be given the least amount of time) ... but it shouldn't be a surprise, it's been this way ever since '92 when Jerry Brown challenged Bill Clinton and then Ross Perot challenged George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

  • View, comment, share, rate & DONATE - Gravel 08!

  • people, stop and think...Big business own the media, who then tell you to vote for candidates that they pick for you...like Hillary and Obama. Look, these two are tools and nothing will change in this country if you elect either one of them. Mike Gravel holds views that the big business just cannot stand, so they give him no coverage at all, so you don't even know what he stands for.

  • You DAMN Right!

  • of course I'm right ;) but seriously, listen to cnn's questions here, they pretty much tell mike that he will take votes away from the "good" candidates, which means the candidates that the big businesses approve of. you'll see, if Mike will pick up momentum, CNN and others will make him look bad (as with H. Dean before), so that you'll feel bad if you decide to vote for him. I say F*** that, don't be influenced by big businesses.

  • I was agreeing with everything Gravel was saying until he mentioned we needed a carbon tax...and at that point I almost barfed.

  • Every time I see a hybrid I think of SF International and how many flights have departed and arrived since morning. And "War for Oil"? So where is all the oil? This guy is inane and grossly unintellectual.

  • Does self preservation make you nauseated?

  • Baseless arguments do however. Good job at making one. Its okay to have an opinion but usually to make an argument one has to reinforce it with some facts. None of which you have offered. When troops were without proper armament in Iraq, were you still under the impression national defense was over funded?

  • RON PAUL/MIKE GRAVEL

  • Omg Yes. That's an excellent idea.

  • He will save america, and begin the healing process.

  • "Military Industrial Complex"? We spend less than 5% of our GDP on defense. "Civil War"? The Iraqi insurgency is comprised of less than 1% of the Iraqi

population. wtf? Damn media will say anything to incite a public.

  • We spend more on defense than any other country on earth. Eisenhower, our greatest president, warned us at the end of his term about the growing power and danger of the military industrial complx. We forgot his warning and the military industrial complex now controls our government. Read up on the PNAC and neoconservatism.

  • Read my comment..as the third largest population on the planet and fourth largest land mass and the largest economy, less than 5% oft he GDP being spent on defense does not constitute a "Military Industrial Complex." A case may have been made during the Reagan Admin. Not today.

  • Sure it does. That is WAY too much money. "Defense" contractors influence our government in profound and appaling ways, with no accountability. We spend what, 6 or 7 times more than the next nation, which is Russia, which has a LARGER land mass and isn't even a threat to us.

  • Russia doesnt have our coastline, nor do they have their strategic arsenal in the water as we do. US ranks 27th in defense spending when compared to GDP. The next 20 ranking below the US are within 1% GDP defense spending.

  • Russia's fucking huge. What does a coastline matter? An ocean is a defense for Christs sakes. Russia, on the other hand, is bordering North Korea and China.

Why do we NEED the military we have? Take a look at who our current enemies are and how they're attacked us. Our military just aggravates the problem.

  • Coastline means a larger navy. Also you fail to see the larger picture. As I said, US ranks 27th in spending %GDP at just over 4%. Also you fail to see how defense spending benefits all in research and development of new technologies. Keeping on topic, no "Industrial Military Complex" with current defense funding. There is more money in the pharmaceutical industry and health care than in defense contracting.

  • Have you looked at a map before? The Russian coastline is bigger than ours, and so are their land borders. Even if it was smaller, you haven't even established that coastlines are a liability compared to land borders, which I am saying are much more of a vulnerability. "As I said, US ranks 27th in spending %GDP at just over 4%" And as I SAID, that is TOO much. I am not talking relative to other countries, necessarily.

  • Sorry, more inhabitable coastline with functional ports of call. Didnt realize I had to spell it out for you. Or would you compare the Siberian/Arctic coastline to Alaska,Hawaii,East/West coast? Coastlines are considered a liability due to maintaining safe shipping lanes and defending offshore launch capability. Also, as stated, US's strategic defense is mostly in the open ocean.

  • "There is more money in the pharmaceutical industry and health care than in defense contracting."

As there should be. And there is a M.I.C., named so because it revolves around the military, is an industry, and is a whole made of interrelated parts. Jesus Christ.

  • Vote Mike Gravel for 2008

Don't fall for rhetoric... research Mike Gravel. Stop electing these rich people that don't care about us...

    TAKE INITIATIVE! SPREAD THE WORD!

  • Love you Mike!!! :)

  • Im glad this seemed to be an unbiast interview which is more than I can say about most other networks. Vote Gravel to take back our freedom from these other money hungry corrupt politicians. To me, he really seems like the only hope for returning America to what it should really be.

  • UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES

    WITHDRAWAL FROM IRAQ ACT

The Congress with sufficient resolve and the strength of leadership can enact a law to withdraw American forces from Iraq within 120 days. Violation of this law would cause the President, the Vice-President, Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Treasury to commit a felony, setting the stage for their immediate impeachment and prosecution.

    GRAVEL2008[.]US

  • This man has the potential to change this country - and therefore the world for the better. Just when I thought my vote would have to settle for the least of the worst, this kind and wise man steps in saves the f'ing day. "Do we want to legalize drugs?" "Of course we do." I love this guy.

  • Mike Gravel or Ralph Nader?

  • Mike Gravel Rocks! Vote Mike Gravel or Ron Paul in 2008 for America's Freedom.

  • 'hey mike, we've got 30 sec. left, explain your entire tax reform plan in one sentence..." ... perhaps they were just giving him a heads up as to how they were going to run the debate.

  • gravel: rock on!

  • Someone who adores democracy in its true sense will not, cannot, and should not speak softly when given an audience.

    Donate@ gravel2008 . us

  • Damn straight im tired of lies, but you might want to rethink some of your ideas, might be too progressive.

  • "have a global institution"

    "put on a carbon tax"

I like this guy but some of his ideas are just scary.

I much prefer Ron Paul because he would protect the constitution much more then this guy.

  • El Carcho- The Gun Free School Zones Act was a violation of the Constitution. The Court said it, now I'm saying it. Perhaps Ron Paul voted to repeal it because he doesn't like Congress overstepping it's bounds. The GFSZA doesn't fall under interstate commerce so the Federal government cant step in- simple as that.

  • Gravel or Dr Paul! Both are great choices!

  • I was listening to this guy until he said Carbon Tax....what a fuck head.

  • Why is everyone so stuck up about the Carbon tax? You think completely changing a century long dependency on oil is going to come easy? Do you EVEN WANT alternative fuels, or would you rather continue to be a plague on the planet as well as continue to spend what is in reality $7 a gallon on century old fuel technology? Grow some balls, sir.

  • yes absolutely, i think we need ethenol fuel. I think we need to push corn prices higher, until people in 3rd world countries cannot afford to eat and they die. I think we need to subsidize farmers of corn and push corn prices even higher. Nuclear power, yes Electric cars, yes.

  • Yeehaw!

  • The smart people, best choices never win. I think Gravel is definately the best choice. But I know he wont win. People elect presidents like American Idol. Worst thing that happened to politics was TV. Maybe the internet will change things now.

  • Get up of your ass and help him win! Thats the problem with politics today, people would rather choose the lesser of two evils handed to them by the media rather than find the best candidate and help them win. I hate to say this, but our own laziness will be our demise. If you want Gravel to win, get up of your ass and give him all youve got!

  • I would love to see this man president of your country. For the love of God vote for him, as someone said: He's someone you can be proud of as a president.

  • ...And what a concept that is. God that WILL be awesome.

(I'm trying to be optistic here.)

  • its is ture, they are using the domino theory about iraq just like with vietnam.

  • Getting guys like Mike Gravel and Ron Paul nominations is NOT impossible. We have a growing group of people all across the country doing just that. If you like the idea, please contact me and ill give you information about our website. Spread the word!

  • hurray gravel, kucinich and paul. Hurray for truth.

  • There it is. The three candidates who are going to stand up for what's right for all Americans to see.

11 more Democratic Presidential Debates and 8 more Republican Presidential Debates to go!

The other candidates better be ready to have their feet held to the fire. These three "Untouchables" are about to take the political "Racketeers" to task.

Truth is about to go on display from sea to shining sea.

  • I would love Paul and Gravel to team up. Impossible.

  • IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING! The only reason it can't happen is because people don't think it can happen! They don't know the candidates! SPREAD THE WORD! If you have to go into the city streets and SHOUT it, DO SO!

  • *****LINKS TO ALL MAJOR MEDIA*****

Also, contact this website fair. org, and ask them why have they not covered Paul's unfair treatment.

*****DEMAND FAIR TREATMENT OF RON PAUL*****

  • If he doesn't make it as president we could sure use him back in Alaska as senator. Get rid of that fucking crook Ted Stevens. Go Gravel.

  • Kucinich is still better

  • At this point, I think it makes the most sense to stick together on this one.

I'm a supporter of boosting up Mike Gravel, Dennis Kuccinich and Ron Paul to be heard by the American People.

Let's support them in taking the players of "politics as usual" to task, and then we can determine which of the three is best.

The next 11 Democratic Presidential Debates and 8 Republican Presidential Debates are going to be very interesting.

  • i really cant support Paul, some of the bills that hes sponsored this year i find horrific.

  • What are they? I'm not completely up to speed on that.

And am certaily open to taking it into account. Sounds like you know a few things we could all benefit from learning.

My main interest in those three right now, is there willingness to address issues of GREAT importance that the "status quo" politicians completely ignore or side-step.

  • H.R. 2424: To repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 and amendments to that Act.

H.R. 2415: To reduce the price of gasoline by allowing for offshore drilling, eliminating Federal obstacles to constructing refineries and providing incentives for investment in refineries, suspending Federal fuel taxes when gasoline prices reach a benchmark amount, and promoting free trade.

    there are others

govtrack is a great site... or just look at the library of congress website

  • end marijuana prohibition!! i'm not american, but i urge all americans to vote for him!

  • Gravel 2008!!!!

  • Gravel is great. Rick Sanchez, mmm, not so much.

  • Love you grandpa Gravel! You've got my vote!

  • Pull Bush out of office and that will cure most of our problems.

  • Unfortunately not, both of the parties are entrenched by the same interests that have taken this President (and our country with it) in the wrong direction.

Take out Bush and put someone in that is not a part of the game of garbage that bread his policies, along with many of our Presidential candedites on both sides of the aisle.

  • Gravel is an idealist. I've met him. He's the one I think would be the best president of the lot.

  • That's right. That's why he needs Rick's money (haha). Because he's not in bed with the "special interests."

The greatest "enemies" of American Democracy.

  • The host Rick Sanchez is a corporate media whore...Gravel handled him well. Mike Gravel has the honesty, knowledge, intelligence, balls and compassion to be president...VOTE MIKE GRAVEL IN '08!!!

  • Actually I did not perceive him as that. He sounded more curious than one with grudge against Gravel. (But then again this is the first time I've ever seen Rick and I also live in another part of the world. Could be mistaken ;) )

  • Keep posting, viewing, sharing, rating!

    Gravel needs to be heard.

  • It's more humane to cure your enemies than to kill them.

    ~Hugh Mann

  • And more effective, to approach remedying the situation in such a way as not to create NEW "ENEMIES" by engaging in wars unnecesarily that innevitably involve killing innocent people in the process creating MORE hate for you.

    Escalation is not the answer.

Hugh Mann was on to something there.

  • Feel free to join my Myspace group. "Tired of politica as usual"

  • Sorry. 'Tired of Politics as usual"

  • I have a few questions about certain policies (e.g. clarifications on the Fair Tax), but Sen. Gravel is the best candidate by far (and we can have more discussions on the Fair Tax with more coverage). I love that you are running neck and neck with "someone else" with 1% in the polls and had a good laugh with Stephen Colbert. Good luck to you in the primaries. You have my vote in the general election whether you win the Democratic nomination or not.

  • Yeah. You know he's gonna be back on Colbert and the Daily Show as well.

There funny shows that get at the truth, and they'll be getting at Gravel.

Just wait until the American people have scene Mike take on the others in not One, but Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven ,Twelve Democratic Presidential Debates.

    The Buzz has only begun.

  • OMG, I love this guy

  • I agree hattrick....I wish Gravel and Kucinich would team up!

  • Rock on Mike Gravel. You've got my vote.

  • The People's Candidate, Frm. Sen. Mike Gravel, is here to stay!

Welcome to the true Free Speech of the Digital Age!

This is the Internet, the People's Media.

And Now It's our Turn to Frame the Conversation.

  • The host is aggressive, but Gravel still pwns.
