If you do the math that bass only weighed 22.3 lbs...thats not beating the world record but in magazines it says its 22.5 lbs but you have to beat the pending world recored by 2 ounces so he actually is tied to george perry just in the first spot above him..kinda throws you off when you do the math though...but this guy on fishes for HUGE fish it all he does the magazine says he catches 100 to 125 bass over 10 pounds every year..its a pretty cool article i think it was bass master mag. 2010

The reason they get so big in Japan is because there are almost no natural predators to the largemouth bass native to that reigon, and it's compounded with the fact that most fish in Japan are basically fatass goldfish kinda makes it easy for a bass to get to 25lbs.
