@davidmurillogomez I convert the signal from the Pentium1 to S-Video and capture it with a USB device on a different system where I simply use virtualdub to record the footage.
I can't use a regular recording program on the system playing the game, since it's not fast enough.
@buddyfrisky I suck at what? Demonstrating how the Unreal engine performs on a Pentium1 system? I don't think so.
If you mean that I suck at playing UT99, after not playing it for ~10 years while not being very good to begin with when it was released and now being somewhat handicapped because the game runs below 20fps then yes...I do suck at this. A lot! :)
I've got Unreal Gold Version 227h, and still, when the computer I have currently installed it on is just a year old, the AI slows down the game, and I'm not even using ENBseries.
@xan1242 AA is already disabled, but Anisotropic Filtering is on 4; However I'm also using UDK and in there there's also a setting to control Anisotropic Filtering, and it's also set on 4, so I think it's okay. So maybe the dynamic shadows are causing the slowdown for some odd reason?
That's cool. I have a Diamond Monster 3D Voodoo1 4MB card that can run the released version of UT in lowest settings at a healthy framrate (around 20 fps or more). I cannot seem to get in the online servers though (I do have an Ethernet card on my vintage PC). Maybe I need the latest patch.
@gekkehenk1980 I believe it's 640x480. I've never tried the P55 with an AMD CPU, but I believe that it wasn't that bad. For example, it's the only board of its generation that can fit a K6-2 500, which is very impressive.
@mystftg. Yes i know. I have two of those motherboards! One of them has new capacitors on it. At the moment I'm using the Asus TX-97E with the AMD K6-3+ 400 @ 450Mhz. Also this motherboard has all new capacitors to extend the lifetime and improve stability. I've bought Sanyo capacitors and the emty spots on the boards are fitted as well now! This system is very stable and fast to. Also 3DFX fan! Have the Diamond Monster 3D and 3DII voodoo II wich i'm using at the moment, playing Quake3 arena!
@gekkehenk1980 My primary focus is trying to get the best performance out of the P1MMX&Voodoo1 combination. Quake3 runs as well, but quite choppy. Although I was impressed that it ran at all. ;)
My current P55T2P4 is semi-dead. It doesn't register the keyboard anymore, but boots up fine.
If you want to boost it up, try to get a motherboard with an TX chipset. Better memory timings and SDram support. Intel still has an INF update for this chipset to! And if you are using windows 95, go for windows98.
I totally agree, it runs very smooth! You're lucky that you have an 6mb voodoo1 card!
When I have some video's ready, I'll let you know ;)
@gekkehenk1980 I'm using a modified Windows98SE with the Windows95b shell/explorer. Very fast&stable.
The TX chipset isn't very good for my purpose. While it supports SDRAM and UDMA, it only has a meager 64MB cacheable RAM. You can install more, but it's ridiculously slow. The HX (p55t2p4) can cache a lot more RAM (with the proper TAG RAM installed), but lacks SDRAM and UDMA support.
@mystftg Yes, you are right! I forgotten that beqause i'm using a K6-3 on that motherboard with the internal tag ram. So I can use and cache the fully 256mb ram. In your case you better stick with the Asus P55T2P4 or if you don't have any larger sims, like 64mb you can search for a Gigabyte 586HX2 beqause it has 6 simm slots!
I'm seeing interlace artefacts. Did you deinterlace your video before uploading? Youtube does not support interlaced video (50i/60i) directly. It only supports 24p 25p & 30p. Maybe in the future they will add support for 50p/60p - then you will be able to bob your 50i/60i to 50p/60p, but not for now. Youtube still only accepts up to 30fps.
The source material is already poorly and quite visibly interlaced. I deinterlace very lazily, by blending the frames together. Looks okay and it's pretty much the best I can get out of the source material without too much work.
where fint i the Unreal Tournament BETA ??? i Buy the Complete Unreal Tournament 1999 ... But i not look that. Please HELP!!!!!

On which settings did you run this? 640x480? Looks good. The Asus P55T2P4 motherboard is good but it runs only good with Intel cpu's.
