Actually quaresma has better dribbling and skills. He's also basically two-footed - the rabona is basically like using your left foot and so is the trivela. Ronaldo also scores a ton of goals of penalties and Quaresma is also pretty good at scoring. Ronaldo isn't that fast either.

Quaresma actually gets by his defenders and he actually puts pressure on them if he loses the ball or they have it while Ronaldo just does a few step overs and then passes it because he can't get by the guy. Quaresma actually beats defenders and gets good crosses into the box.

Trust me, Ronaldo isn't that fast. I saw him get out run by a player on Toronto FC a few weeks ago... pretty sad.

'HIS' SECOND GOAL the free kick was 'his' first. the second one were he backheels to park well inside uniteds half and runs like a madman to get onto rooneys pass and finishes superbly. i know there are faster players then ronaldo, all im saying is that he is quicker then quaresma.

as for penalties, in the season where ronaldo scored 42 goals for united, only 6 were penalties (missed 1 v barca). leaving 36 normal play and freekicks. (hardly a ton of penalties) RQ struggles to score 10-15

I'd bet about 90% of Quaresma's goals were created by him alone, whether it be on free kicks or nice shots from quite a bit of distance out while Ronaldo probably hardly scores goals on his own (free kicks and shots created by him) A lot of Ronaldo's goals are easy shots in the crease, headers off good crosses (which Quaresma 0 of, seriously he's never gotten 1 good cross) or penalties. If Quaresma played with better playmakers he would be better.

How is it a joke? Ronaldo has scored 91 goals in the past 3 years. Out of those, I'd estimate that about 10- 15 (not counting free kicks) were chances that weren't scored off easy headers, easy shots in the box or penalties.

He's hardly even played in Barca and Inter. He's probably played as many matches in 1 year in Porto as he's played in his entire career in Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter combined, not to mention he was probably a sub for most of those games.

i guess we have a different definition of what a good goal is, you must be a hard football fan to please ronaldo makes his headers look easy because he has great technique and he is tall+strong.

would you say quaresmas goal in euro 08 was a good goal by him, i think i was a good goal because he used great instinct to position himself onto ronaldos pass. nevertheless the whole portugal team celebrated with ronaldo first.

Look at Quaresma's goals for Porto (search Quaresma and watch the video "the best #7 that ever played for Porto") - the majority are nice shots from outside of the box. I'd much rather see 15 of those a year than 40 goals of Ronaldo scoring on an open net with his thigh.
