  • man these meetings are like all of my heroes in one place

  • He can be such an arrogant asshole even though I think in a similar fashion. He always undermines facts such as an ancient society having sophisticated technology. Ok so they created a chemical reaction, so what!?

His words about the Baghdad battery.

Well, it's a big deal because it proves sophisticated technology regardless of what it was used for. Considering it was found in a remote location, we can then theorize in the sophisticated empires much larger versions existed.

    6 ft vase anyone??

  • Jr. Skeptic is great! I especially loved the "Everything I Need to Know About Life I Learned From Scooby-doo" issue. :) (The old Scooby-doo, when the spooks always turned out to be criminals trying to swindle people -- not the new Scooby-doo/heresy in which the spooks turn out to be really spooks!)

  • Michael Shermer is da shiznit!

He goes beyond atheism and targets other junk like astrologers, alternative medicine, and other delusional beliefs.

  • I was just watching you with Penn & Teller on the Bible. Haven't you read Centuries of Darkness by Peter James? It describes the need for a New Chronology of the Ancient World. The books and videos by David Rohl have provided the first New Chronology. It makes sense of what is now an archeological mess. He makes sense of the recent historic Old Testament. If he is a Christian he keeps it out of his scholarly work. It is most unexpected scientifically.

  • Ray Kurzweil is a proponent of the Technological Singularity- kinda like a scientific rapture ;) check it out.

  • He used to be an evangilical christian?? Id love to see a video or some more info on this!

  • I love you Michael. You rock!

  • Agreed. They are one of the major scourges these days.

  • Shermer is one of my heroes. Penn and Teller, too. Randi is hero #1.

  • Don't forget the champion of atheism. Richard Dawkins. For sure man. Buy the guys book...it kills religion.

  • I've read many books by Richard Dawkins. I am particularly fond of The Blind Watchmaker. I think you are referring to The God Delusion, though - it is an amazing book, I agree. =)

  • Shermer sounds like a cool guy.

  • He is. He knows how to use humour and charm. I find Dawkins a tad too professorial, and although Hitchens makes me chuckle, he gets too swept up in put downs.

  • thanks for uploading. Very Good
