Why ppl make internet and technology harder and more complicated? Here you have to follow 70 steps just to reach a file, while torrents are just like 1,2,3. Install a torrent program, search for torrents you need, click on download. That's it.

great video, just cleared EVERYTHING up for me. although i do have one question, which is for completely informational purposes only, i do not believe in piracy, does newsgroups allow u to download movies in HD/dvdrip quality whilst their still at the movies? or is it the same dreaded "cam" quality everyone seems to be whinging about. a few years ago i heard rumors that it did and just only got around to looking into it

Why am I gettting article not found errot on grabit all the time, even when am d/l new nzbs. the grabit site says they have a fix and its in, 1.7 but i have that n still have problem, Helps please :)

@johnson207 I ended up just buying/ registering with newsbin pro and astraweb. I use Par N Rar for reapairs. So far I have had no problems. Grabit only has 10 days retention. Where as astrawebb has 1010+ and still growing :)

So I pay $30 a month to DL files I can get on public torrent engines for free? I understand it's "faster", but what are the other advantages? Basically, I'm paying extra money to compensate for my impatience... doesn't sound feasible.

usenet is interesting, i didnt pay for it, but the speeds compared to torrent are much higher, it will max out your line all the time, the searching is very tedious compared to torrents...its very useful for large files, you always get a consistent highest speed your line is capable of ...but for 30 a month i wouldnt pay for it, just because im a cheap bastard

@p1zl3 torrents are like a retarded cousin of newsgroups. Torrents involves a group of people sharing and if one of them decides not to share, then your basically screwed. Newsgroups let you download at your maximum speed and it is encouraged to not share since it crashes the server. They also have almost anything imaginable, way more than torrents since they can be kept alive much longer

@p1zl3 Theres no b.s. with newsgroups, you go to download something and it straight up just downloads whereas torrents can get stuck with seeds and starting/stopping a download can give you problems.

sorry it took so long to reply, giganews offers free trials but nobody offers the service for free except your ISP.

some ISP's offer free newsgroup access but to limited groups, to findout more you will have to contact your ISP.

Also, when you a installing grabit, during the process, a box comes up asking you to input the news server. under that you tick, this server requires login, and another box will come with places for username and password.

And the next question is about the server and username and password from such a site. Where are they supposed to be put in GRABIT?
