Good stuff and I am not usually into this kind of music. Nothing wrong with being stuck in 1988, Ive been stuck in the 80's with my music, since the 80's. :) I just ordered my Maschine yesterday. I own a Fusion 6HD, Fantom G6, Roland 2400CD, Roland TD-20 Drum brain with an 18 piece electronic set, guitars and basses out the wazoo, etc... etc... While I love my keys and Roland TD20 drum set, I needed something a little more portable to write on the go. Good to hear someone putting it to good use.

i also had a 303 back in the day but it was so fucked up after a few years of touring that i sold it before i died. Still i miss that silver box every single day. I mean the plug ins these days are great especially ABL2 but i want that silver box. I even had the x0xb0x but its still not the same. Roland is so stupid not to realize that there is still a huge demand. I still dont get this ignorance of them.

There are indeed some difference, for example your have an 8x8 grid compared to 8x5, this comes in handy for monome apps. I use the launchpad mainly for m4l voodo and the apc40 is my main controll over Ableton.

Have you actually looked into what Maschine is ? the launchpad is a very nice plug-in to albeton but to seriously try and compare a midi controller with a system like machine is like comparing a brick to a bicycle.. they are not even the same type of equipment..
